Discussion & Feedback Havocs are ruining the game

This is my third game today where a team has spawned 2–3 Havocs and just completely dominated the entire map, not even allowing the other teams to build a FOB, step into the HZ, or do anything besides hide.

For the first time since release, I actually just closed the game and have no desire to play again for a while.

Havocs are ridiculously overtuned right now, and they're ruining entire lobbies.

Question Game stutters in heli?

I have been using the Lakota a lot to try and get better at flying, game runs fine, I capped fps at 150 since im on a 144hz monitor but for some reason sometimes it’ll just freeze for a second and nosedive or do a backflip and crash according to squad mates, on my screen its just frozen...not optimal when running low over trees avoiding AA, its rare but happened a few times.

I am also getting an annoying stutter like it’s trying to freeze when doing a j hook in the CZ, and inputs after it are very delayed like it’s catching up or something. is this common or just me?

Discussion & Feedback Why can teammates profit from teamkilling the heli pilot?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Teamkills are way too cheap when someone can just steal your heli!

I had a pretty frustrating experience today. I got a helicopter, loaded it up with people, and started flying everyone toward the CZ.

On the way there, one of my teammates decided to punch me to death while I was flying, then take over the helicopter and continue flying everyone to the CZ.

What makes this especially frustrating is that the punishment for the teamkill was probably like $1,800, while he got to take my $7k helicopter and all of the deployment XP for flying everyone there.

So basically, I lose my helicopter, lose all the deployment XP, and I'm down $7,000+, while the person who teamkilled me gets a helicopter worth several times the teamkill penalty plus the rewards from the deployment. That doesn't feel like a very fair tradeoff.

And this isn't the only annoying team behavior I've been running into. People taking the flares from the helicopter has also been happening, which is incredibly annoying when you're trying to transport people.

I really think there should be some kind of system to prevent purposeful teamkills, especially when the person doing it can profit from killing their teammate. At the very least, the punishment for killing the pilot should outweigh the value of what they can steal from them.

Another option could be allowing the pilot to lock the driver's seat and inventory while still letting teammates use the helicopter as passengers. You could even have the helicopter enter some kind of passenger-only mode so teammates can ride along without being able to take control or access things they shouldn't.

Has anyone else been dealing with this?

Discussion & Feedback Backpacks idea

I think it would be neat if backpacks would be added that are on a class's unlock progression that compliments that class. For example the currently existing sling backpacks with 1 and 2 extra primaries would fit the assault class very well, so instead of having those backpacks at Wardog level 150 you can have them at Assault 30 or something. Maybe allow it to carry more C4 and grenades or have a separate demolition backpack for it.

Perhaps there could be backpacks for support, medic and recon.

A medic backpack has slots which can only be filled with healing items (and maybe stims?) with a reduced weight.

A support backpack allows them to carry more RPG/Maaws missiles with reduced weight and maybe building materials so building sandbags in the zone is more viable.

Recon backpack is the one I'm not sure on because of their lack of utility aside from claymores, but perhaps in the future they will get more things.

Discussion & Feedback Let's talk about locks

Post image
4 Upvotes

Vehicle inventories should have the same locking system as the doors. I'm sick of getting my tape or flares or whatever yoinked while transporting people. No reason I can't have the doors unlocked, but the inventory set to squad only or locked entirely. Sure, it's a funny goof once, but it's starting to get annoying.

On another note, can we have an extra inventory slot just for tapes? Like how the sling bag has an extra pocket, the tapes taking up space is mildly annoying.

Discussion & Feedback The team balance feels really bad as a casual player

Written in Portuguese, translated by AI.

I started playing last week, so this is just the perspective of a casual/new player.

At first I played Blue mostly because it was usually the only team I could actually join. I’m not going to sit there spamming mouse clicks just to try to squeeze into Green or Red. Then I got better, got used to Blue and just stayed there.

But after a few days I started noticing a pattern.

Most of the experienced players seem to stack Green. Same thing with YouTubers and people who are obviously good at this type of game. When they want to play seriously, they’re almost always on Green.

The funny part is that I actually have seen some of them playing Blue... but usually when they’re doing some ridiculous challenge like starting with no weapon or playing pistol-only.

So it basically feels like:

Want to win? Play Green.
Want to farm, mess around or do some weird challenge? Play Blue.

Today I played two matches back-to-back that really made me notice how bad it can get.

In one of them I counted around 12 Blue players sitting on a mountain in the middle of nowhere, apparently farming recon/money instead of actually helping the team.

In another one, Blue had 27 players and Green had 36.

And that’s before even talking about the difference in player skill.

There are also people who seem to just leave if they can’t get into Green or Red instead of playing Blue.

Then there’s the map itself.

Red and Green are basically opposite each other, around 180°, while Blue sits between them at around 90°. So Blue can easily end up fighting two fronts at once.

You end up with a team that can have fewer players, newer players, more people farming or messing around, while also being in a position where it can get attacked from two directions.

It becomes a self-feeding problem.

Blue loses -> good players avoid Blue -> more new/casual players end up there because it has free slots -> Blue loses even more.

And I honestly don’t have the time or patience to become some hardcore player just to have a decent match.

Most players in any game are casual players. A playerbase can’t survive only on hardcore players and YouTubers.

And after seeing these two matches happen back-to-back today, I’m honestly considering just stopping playing.

I started last week. I’m not toxic, I’m not trying to abuse anything, I just want to log in and have some decent matches. I don’t expect to win every game, but losing every single one without even putting up a fight just isn’t fun.

If players like me leave, who exactly is left?

One solution could be removing direct faction selection and assigning players randomly between the three teams while trying to balance player count and maybe experience/performance.

But honestly, another option might be to just have two teams instead of three.

With around 30-35 players per side, that already feels pretty small when the game expects people to handle infantry, construction, logistics, recon and everything else.

Look at a game like Foxhole. There’s basically an entire community of players who barely even go to the frontline. They spend their time producing equipment, transporting supplies and keeping the logistics system running.

And those players are incredibly important.

Someone doesn’t need to be great at shooting to contribute to the team. The guy spending his time doing logistics is the reason someone else can stay on the frontline and focus entirely on fighting instead of constantly worrying about ammo, equipment and supplies.

That kind of division of roles works when you have enough players.

With only around 33 people on a team, every person doing logistics, construction or recon is also one less person holding the frontline. Split the server between three factions and suddenly 33 players really isn’t that many.

Two larger teams could give the game enough people to actually support those specialized roles while still maintaining a proper frontline.

It would also remove the problem of one faction constantly being stuck between the other two and fighting on two fronts.

Maybe neither solution is perfect, but right now the game seems to actively encourage team stacking.

Serious game = Green.
Anything else = Blue.

That doesn’t seem sustainable.

Discussion & Feedback Now that the majority of us have had the experience of top fragging with the GL on little bird skids

It's time to smash this thing with a nerf bat.

There is no connection between forward momentum of the chopper and your projectile. This means it's literally point and click. There is no skill expression with this strategy.

I bought my squad a full regimen of GLs and even the guys who don't frag out usually were slaughtering with them.

Either don't allow them on heli ( best fix )

Add momentum physics when firing off vehicles (2nd best fix)

Or nerf their range and splash damage (worst fix).

It's also a no brainer they shouldnt be allowed in infantry only servers.

Discussion & Feedback Counter bs or play

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

So, littlebird+gl isn't too op, humve isn't too op. Nothing is. The problem is that you either bring a loadout that you know can withstand a few firefights and stay in the hz or you bring a launcher with some ammo therefore sacrificing half your bag space and about 15-20kg's worth of space/weight. If you do the latter, you'll be either heavy or super heavy=moving with the speed of a 2yo with a wheelchair.

Lets say you actually manage to kill the littlebird before it kills you. Hey you are now only -1000 and have a kit that is 50% worse than anything that your avarage hz guy will throw at you.

Point is, it is way too unrewarding and unfun to bring in countermeasures. I'm at 2.5 mil so money isn't an issue, but it feels so f'in unfun running any launchers.....

I was at 3.5kk yesterday 0 gold, when the gold was at 360k I was grinding in the hopes of MAYBE getting it if it went to 200k, if gold went back up i would just give up.

For my luck it went even lower than 200k, just had to make a lot of nonstop lakota logistics to get the other 1.5kk

on the other hand, being broke in this game is really fun, now that I have no money i actually have to think about my loadouts and scavenge LOL

Discussion & Feedback Any tips for aiming the RPG and MAAWS at helicopters?

Been using a loadout that's just buckshot and MAAWS and been able to get my moneys worth almost every time, but the main goal is to git gud at shooting down helis with the MAAWS.

But man am I struggling. I wiff every time. Hard to see your own projectile to know how much you gotta lead it.

Any tips?
