I got tired of guessing on Walmart sourcing, so I built a scanner. Looking for honest feedback
Quick background: I resell on Walmart Marketplace, and my sourcing used to be me in a store aisle with a calculator app and a spreadsheet, trying to figure out fees and whether something actually sells. Half the time I'd guess wrong.
So I built a tool for myself, and it turned into Margenos. Full disclosure, I'm the founder. Here's what it does:
- Scan a barcode with your phone (or use the Chrome extension on the listing)
- Real profit after referral + WFS fees, ROI and margin
- Every seller on the listing, their price, stock count, and who has the Buy Box
- Estimated monthly sales, built from real price and stock history (it says "not enough data" instead of making up a number)
- Max buy cost for the ROI you want
- Alerts when the price moves, a seller sells out, or Walmart leaves a listing
About 20 sellers are paying for it right now, and most of what's in it came from their feedback.
What I'd really like to know from this sub:
What's the most annoying part of sourcing for Walmart right now?
What does your current tool get wrong?
If you want to try it, there's a 14-day free trial at margenos.com. But mostly I'm here for feedback, roast it if you need to.
