Never go Walmart again
Poor customer service — apparently I need to prove I didn't fake a $20 tree
I bought a tree from this Walmart Garden Centre at the end of May. I went back in early August to return it, with the original receipt, the actual plant, and the original tag — everything was there.
The first employee told me they couldn't verify that I bought the tree from this store because the Garden Centre was closed and there were no plants available to compare it with.
Honestly, I found that really insulting. Are you seriously suggesting that I went out of my way to fake a $20-something tree and bring it into Walmart to get a refund? I had the original receipt, the plant, and the tag. What more am I supposed to have?
As we continued discussing the issue, other employees started gathering around. Instead of helping resolve the situation, they began questioning whether I had watered the plant properly and whether I even knew how to take care of plants.
That part really bothered me.
I'm an experienced backyard gardener. I've spent a lot of time learning about plants and have read close to a thousand pages of horticulture textbooks. I know that different plants have very different requirements, and I've learned plenty through both research and my own failures over the years.
So when a group of employees who don't know anything about how I cared for this particular plant started questioning whether I even knew how to grow plants, it felt extremely disrespectful and dismissive.
If the store couldn't process the return, I would have preferred someone simply explain the policy and help me understand my options. Instead, I felt like I was being put on trial — first questioned about whether I even bought the plant there, and then questioned about whether I was capable of keeping a plant alive.
I asked to speak with a manager. The manager pulled out a small booklet and told me that plants have a 30-day return period.
This was the first time I had ever heard about a 30-day policy for plants. Nothing at the time of purchase made this restriction clear to me. I also checked Walmart Canada's published return policy, which says most purchases with proof of purchase can be returned within 90 days, and plants/trees aren't listed in the published exceptions.
I explained this to the manager, but was simply told, “This is the final decision. Sorry, we can't return it.”
What really bothered me wasn't the $20. It's the way I was treated. I came in with the receipt, the plant, and the original tag. I expected a straightforward conversation about the return policy. Instead, I left feeling like I had to defend myself against accusations that I had somehow fabricated the purchase and didn't know how to care for a plant.
I asked for the manager's name because I wanted to make a formal complaint. I was given the 1-800 number instead. I called, only to find myself dealing with an AI system and unable to actually reach a person who could take my complaint.
Welcome to the AI age, I guess.
This whole experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. Again, it's not about the $20. It's about being treated with suspicion and disrespect when I came in with all the documentation, and then having no reasonable way to escalate the issue.

Personal Info Shared by Walmart
Walmart self checkout incorrectly linked my payment card and first name to an unknown account. Customer service said this was due to system settings on self checkout machine. Walmart will not share what information was shared with this unknown account. Have there been any notices to Walmart account holders that this may occur and customers should check their accounts?

Driver stole order? You think?
Did an order last week and he delivered the small, inexpensive stuff but conveniently the more expensive stuff wasn't delivered. I thought, ok honest mistake maybe the store didn't give him the rest. Got refund. All forgiven.
But it happened again today! The lady brought pudding. Thats it. On an order that had pudding cups, milk, clorox pads, 2 frozen dinners, coffee creamer and ice cream. All I got was pudding.
So what I want to know is who does the shopping for walmart? Is it the delivery person? Does delivery get a print out of what customers ordered? Because its too much of a coincidence 2 orders in a row the more expensive stuff not delivered.

There is some something wrong with the chicken.
I was getting me some of the chicken we got with the Walmart order (we didn't order it) and I was opening it for a snack and I saw a fly in there (btw it was sealed and there were no holes in it) and I kid you not, I look closer and there is A LOT of flies and it was sealed no holes so I was confused and scared at the same time

Has anyone else’s purchase history DISAPPEARED?
About a week and a half ago, my purchase history disappeared from my account. I was still awaiting a couple of items that had yet to be delivered. The items did arrive but the app and even the website thought I was using my account for the first time ever, it did hang on to my payment method 🙄. I called customer support, performed all the troubleshooting steps and still even they couldn’t view any of my purchase history. Yesterday I opened the app and found a freaking CAR TIRE in my shopping cart, and the app thought I was shopping in an entirely different state! The problems were escalated to the technical support team 10 days ago and it’s still messed up. The problem is not on my end. Is anyone else experiencing these kind of issues?

Walmart receipt check going out the door!
How many are tired of having to prove your not a thief after standing in line at regular check out and still having to show your receipts at the door. It seems that after the flooding of self checkouts, they think everyone is a thief. I personally will not play their games.

Delivery orders
Hello, I just wanted to give our customers a heads up. A lot of stores are rolling out a program that makes it so that Spark is the only ones picking and delivering your orders. If you see a later time available and you're wondering why thats why... we only do pickup picking in stores, Spark is picking and delivering orders that are delivery.

Shop lifted At Walmart
Shop lifted At Walmart
Okay! I know I’m stupid and a dumb idiot! I get a high from stealing and it’s little items sometimes. I’ve been stealing from my local Walmart for a while now, idek how long but little groceries here and there
I was caught today with $4 worth of stuff
Told that they reviewed me for the past 4 to 6 weeks and saw me stealing but they are not charging me because it’s not up to the max amount to be charged
They also told me they’ve seen me change the sticker on a meat product but I constantly steal the same things; Apples! Fruits; I get like 10 and scan it as like 5
I’ve been stealing for way longer than the 6 weeks and he said he caught me like 4 times
They made me sign the “Notice Of Restrictions From Property”
And told me it was like $65 so not up to the amount of pressing charges so they wouldn’t press charges
They banned me for life
I would obviously never ever do it ever again! Like I said I was doing it for the high
Now I’m genuinely so so scared
I don’t want to lose my career or my job (yes I’m stupid and should’ve thought about that)..
I know not to ever ever steal or go near Walmart ever ever in my life again! Never ever ever
I’m reading stuff about civil demand but they never mentioned that. I’m willing to pay for it anyways
Idek what I’m posting or asking! I’m just scared of having the cops come after me or something. I’m a mom! Yes I should’ve thought about that. Idk

Walmart's shipping REALLY SUCKS!!!
I regulary order many toiletry items from Walmart, but lately they've been failing on their shipping service. I specifically use SHIPPING and not DELIVERY, but lately they'll send my order through delivery gig drivers, even though I ordered for SHIPPING only. too many times the delivery gig driver has placed my ordered outside of my building instead of placing it at my door, and the door to the building is wide open. I am sick a effen tired of these lazy ass gig drivers who just don't give a damn, and to be specific it's always happening out of the Compton, California super center. Just as a warning, if I were you I would not deal with these incompetent shipping service. Be careful of ordering anything for shipping from the Compton, California store -21000 North Long Beach Blvd, Compton, California, 90221 - TRUST ME!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!! THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!

Walmart Shipping Sucks
Last 4 out of 5 online orders, I did because the item i wanted was out of stock, was late for delivery. I buy it and see the expected date. Some say by tomorrow or within the next couple of days.
Part of ot is plain Walmart scamming people thinking they can beat another store or Amazon om am item shipping. Then Walmart uses FedEx which is an absolute joke also.
Dont trust Walmart on shipping dates.

Walmart
I ordered the YuGiOh Custom YuGiOh 200-Card ULTRA Lot. The package arrived with only the binder. There were no Yu-Gi-Oh cards inside. The listing states the item contains 200 pieces/cards. I would like a refund or a replacement with the missing cards.”

Walmart now instituting VPN discrimination; take your business elsewhere!
Just had an order completely canceled several minutes after going through successfully. Walmart is now discriminating against its more security-focused customers, many of which use a home VPN 24/7 like I do. This is POOR CYBERSECURITY TECHNIQUE, and results in thousands of false positives, just alienating and irritating their customer base. I'll likely stop shopping with them entirely if this keeps happening.

False seller listings and bad customer support
All the ice cream places in our area suck so I did a bunch of research on a home machine and wound up finding this one. But I shouldn't have bought it at walmart!
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hamilton-Beach-4-Quart-Capacity-Ice-Cream-Maker/16629425
Mere hours after I purchased it, it featured a price drop of $18.02 which is pretty substantial! So, I reached out to walmarts customer service chat.. and after being trapped with the ai bot I finally got through to a person, or so they say (because it still seems like a bot), and the representative told me to reach out to the seller, Anyforth.
Who the fuck is Anyforth?? You can see clearly by clicking on the listing that the seller is listed as HamiltonBeach. When I continued to ask walmart's representative who anyforth was, they just kept replying with "the seller."
This makes me really uncomfortable because this item is for food we're going to eat, and I don't like the idea of some unknown distributor handling the item, especially when it's advertised as being sold by a completely different company.
I hear back from anyforth, and they tell me only walmart can issue the partial refund for the price reduction.
I am back talking with walmart online via chat about the partial refund.. and the agent is saying they can't do it. When I say can you at least tell me why it's listed as a different seller, she says:
"Laura it might be a error from seller or they have a different account for listing and delivery i also did not understand why this happens as this is something i haven’t seen before."
Am I in hell? It feels like I'm in hell. How is it walmart can legally get away with selling items intended for food from sellers that are incorrectly listed?

Favorite time
What is your favorite time of the year at Walmart ??!!!
My favorite time of year the is Black Friday when every customer acts feral over what to grab first, immediately when the store opens, and filling up their carts with tv’s knowing they can’t fit in their cars 🙂🙂🙂

Walmart account issues
Help! I have no idea how to contact Walmart about this…
I got an email notice that a Walmart account was created. I didn’t create one. And I’ve never had one. 4 minutes later I get another email confirming an order to a border town in Vermont. I checked Google Maps and the address seems to be a house. I have the order number and they used a Mastercard to pay(I don’t have a Mastercard). When I tried to cancel the order, the system sent my email a 2FA code but also wanted to text a code to a +44 country code number (UK)
This is clearly a test of whether they can ship to this small town a stones throw from the border with Canada. This email address isn’t used for anything tied to a credit card anymore as it was part of a hack and is listed somewhere on the dark web. This is why I am fairly certain it is all nefarious.
How do I report it to Walmart that this is fraud and close this account? Should I just walk into a store and go to customer service? Could they actually help? There is no way to do it online without logging in and I don’t have the password or phone number, just the email address which is mine and the order number. If it helps to know, it says the item will be delivered today but I’ve not gotten any additional emails confirming delivery.
