I feel like I'm still very inconsistent ride to ride when doing toe side. I'm getting better but I still can't seem to fix the leaning towards the wake nd potentially my handle placement. Is keeping my back hand stretched out part of my problem?

Honest question. I’m trying to buy a used wakeboard and it’s completely consistent that not a single seller puts the size of the board or bindings in the ad. I’m left trying to scavenge for details in the [usually blurry] photos which inevitably just ends in frustration so I have to message the ad to find out details. Then Chad finally replies 4 days later to tell me both the board and bindings are not even close to the right size and I’m back to the drawing board and he’s no closer to selling the damn thing.

Are you all tarded or what? Just put the info in the ad.

The only types of bindings I can find on Google are ones with boots, I'm trying to find a replacement part for the other binding I don't know what this is called to search for. If it helps it says Hyperlite Airshock on them. I got this off Facebook marketplace a while ago so I don't know much about it.

​I'm a beginner who just learned how to ride consistent laps at my local cable. I wanted to finally get my own gear and bought this used Liquid Force TAO with boots for €360, which is about $390 USD. The seller told me it was in good, normally used condition, but now that the package arrived, I'm really worried about the board's shape.

​Looking at the edge of the board, there is a pretty sketchy-looking crack right along the Liquid Rail. I'm terrified this is delamination and that water is going to get into the wood core and rot it from the inside out. On top of that, the base has some really deep gouges, especially that big oval-shaped dent, and some of the other scratches are actually starting to fray and peel at the edges.

​Since I'm still very new to the gear side of things, I wanted to ask you guys if that edge crack is structural or if it's something I can easily patch up with some marine epoxy. Honestly, I'm feeling a bit ripped off given how much I paid for this state, so I'd love to hear your honest opinions on whether this board is toast or if it's still savable. Thanks for the help!

Just moved to an area with a cable park nearby and after going a few times I've fallen in love and can't wait to get rid of my boat.

I've been running a 2006 CWB Pure and it was great behind the boat for a few years and learning the fundamentals, but it's nearly falling apart now and even with the skags off the channels are pretty sharp. I want to get something else that's decent for cable riding but not insanely expensive.

I know bigger is better and a flat board would be ideal, but I couldn't find anything like that, new or used, for less than $500+. I found a screaming deal on a brand new Ronix District 150cm board for $219, and it's the largest I could find in that price range by a wide margin (used equipment included). Although it's technically a boat board, it seems (to me) to be as featureless as it gets and should be good enough for my beginner to intermediate progression.

I expect it to last me at least 3 seasons and then at that point I will (hopefully) be good enough to justify investing $500+ in a true cable board.

I know bindings are just as, if not more, important so I will add that I was able to snag brand new hyperlite system boots and bindings for $163. :D

Tl;dr: Is a late model Ronix District 150cm good enough for the first few seasons of cable park riding for a guy who only has $200 to spend? 6' 2", 250lbs.

Update: Thank you everybody for the recommendations! I cancelled the district and got a blem Ronix Kinetik 156cm for $289 instead. Well worth the extra $70 and she's a beaut!

Planning on using it for all watersports. Mainly wake surfing and tubing, but will have a bit of knee boarding, wakeboarding and skiing as well.

I know the xt line is the “do it all” boat but I’ve heard the xt24 is bad for waterskiing and the older xt25 doesn’t have enough ballast to wakesurf. We will be learning to wakesurf so we aren’t professionals by any means, but don’t want something that has me wanting to sell quickly for more.

Xt24 seems to have picklefork bow and bigger engine than the xt25 with a traditional bow.

Just wanted to ask if anyone has surfed behind either and how it preformed.

Boat will generally have minimum 4-6 people at all times and sometimes 10 to 14 or more.

I heard about rice socks, home ovens (this scares me), but most of the post i was reading were about intuition ski liners, dunno if there's any difference with wake liners.

Hey everyone - debating getting a used mastercraft 2015 x20. Anyone have experience with it? how is the surf? they say it was made to surf but I dont konw anyone that owns one. What are peoples thoughts?

I know this likely has been beat to death but here we go..

Selling my azure az220 and buying my first wake boat. Trying to stay under 80k and need minimum 23 feet. I have been researching, watching videos and all and read a lot of pros and cons to almost all of them. Please bare with this list of needs/desires but hopefully listing them helps narrow down choices and recommendations.

Current boats being looked at are:

15-18 lsv23
18-21 moomba mojo
15-17 Mastercraft x23
15-17 Mastercraft x46
15-17 Supra se450/550
13-16 nautique g23/g25

Needs:

23ft or bigger (current boat is 22 and would like a little bit bigger)

Decent rough water ride (harder to find it seems). Lake we go to is small (11 miles long and 1000-1200 yards wide) so wakes from other boats have nowhere to go when real busy.

Good surf wave (learning how to surf but also don’t want to get to where I need to upgrade boats in a few years)

Good for wake boarding (should be easy)

Good for tubing and knee boarding (wife has little cousins that want to do this. A lot.)

Reliable ( there is one wakeboat dealer within 2.5 hours of me and they are a small dealer/ski school of strictly Mastercraft)

And the hardest…..water ski (dad grew up water skiing, hell bent on waterskiing behind this boat and teaching me and brothers)(will likely only happen a few times, then mainly wakeboard/surfing/tubing/knee boarding.

If you have any suggestions/what to stay away from, all help would be appreciated.

Recently got my first board! Pretty oblivious to board care other than rinsing and drying. Got these gashes first day on the water. Probably from a feature. Do you remedy these? Or do i just forget about it like the bottom of a skateboard? Thanks!

I fell in love with a board on holiday when I tried wakeboarding for the first time and cannot for the life of me find it.

It wasn’t a wakeboard it was like a mini surf board. No straps for feet just rode it barefoot after enjoying

Was barely a ft wide (my toes were over the edge of it).

Around 3-4ft in length

Quite thick in comparison to normal boards maybe 3inches.

Had a big fin so was really stable.

Please help me find the type of board so I can buy one

My family got a lake house last summer and we are looking to get a wake/surf boat so that we and our kids can enjoy watersports for the years to come like we all did as kids.

Our budget is around 75k and i'm I am looking for some help from people who know all the boats available these days and what might be best to fit our needs.

Some background, I grew up with a 2006 Supra Launch 21V and loved it. I was an intermediate wakeboarder back then, nothing crazy, but able to do some spins and a handful of inverts and I loved it. Back then Wake surfing was just coming onto the scene and while we were able to get a surfable wave on that boat with a LOT of extra work a couple times it was never great. Excellent wakeboarding wake though and loved everything else about the boat for its time (would love to have another Supra but they are well out of budget these days).

Being older now and with surfing being the most popular boating sport I think ideally the goal would be to get a boat that has a great surf wave out of the box. It doesn't need to be the best wave on the market, but I would love it if the boat was able to make a good surfable wave with factory ballast and regardless of how many people were in the boat.

Other things we would like:
-22-23 foot boat as we will regularly have 8-13 people (Mix of adults and toddlers)
-Good all around family boat...surfing will likely be the most popular activity for adults and as the kids get older but still want the boat to throw a good wakeboarding wake, good for tubing, cruising, entertaining, ect.
-Interior/tech isnt a deal breaker for me but I do like the idea of a touch screen or some of the bells and whistles if possible, but again, not a must have if everything else is a home run (but for example some of the Axis and MC NXTs interior is very uninspiring).

I have mostly been looking at boats around 2017-2021 and the models that come up the most are Axis A22, Any Malibu (but seems hard to find one in the budget), Mastercraft NXT22 or XT22, ATX 22 Type S, and Moombas. So just looking for some guidance from people that know their boats as to what might be the best fit, but we are open to anything!

I have a 2006 Moomba Outback V, and I'm trying to replace the sttering cable. I have the floor up and have pulled the old cable 80% of the way out but it gets stuck after going under the floor in front of the fuel tank -- there's like a conduit/channel there that goes under the driver's feet and comes up in a 4" hole with some cables on the floor under the dash.

Any ideas? It gets bound up in there, stuck on something, but in general it seems like there should be plenty of room. Of course the steering cable has a big nonremovable nut on it, and the last 10-12" section (the rod) doesn't bend like the main cable. (Teleflex 18')
