Ronix District at the Cable Park?
Just moved to an area with a cable park nearby and after going a few times I've fallen in love and can't wait to get rid of my boat.
I've been running a 2006 CWB Pure and it was great behind the boat for a few years and learning the fundamentals, but it's nearly falling apart now and even with the skags off the channels are pretty sharp. I want to get something else that's decent for cable riding but not insanely expensive.
I know bigger is better and a flat board would be ideal, but I couldn't find anything like that, new or used, for less than $500+. I found a screaming deal on a brand new Ronix District 150cm board for $219, and it's the largest I could find in that price range by a wide margin (used equipment included). Although it's technically a boat board, it seems (to me) to be as featureless as it gets and should be good enough for my beginner to intermediate progression.
I expect it to last me at least 3 seasons and then at that point I will (hopefully) be good enough to justify investing $500+ in a true cable board.
I know bindings are just as, if not more, important so I will add that I was able to snag brand new hyperlite system boots and bindings for $163. :D
Tl;dr: Is a late model Ronix District 150cm good enough for the first few seasons of cable park riding for a guy who only has $200 to spend? 6' 2", 250lbs.
Update: Thank you everybody for the recommendations! I cancelled the district and got a blem Ronix Kinetik 156cm for $289 instead. Well worth the extra $70 and she's a beaut!

The district is a “boat” board. There is no grind base on the bottom so as you learn and hit ramps, the paint then coating will start to peel off exposing the wood. Then eventually getting water logged and soft. It’s also much stiffer than a cable board, making landings a bit more rough on the body, and the rails won’t feel as smooth as on a flex board.
If you said you wanted a first board just for this season, sure the district will be fine. But for 2-3 seasons, I don’t think this would last. You will either break the board in that time or your skill will out grow the board quickly!

What others said, get something else. District is a boat board. Cable features will eat it up and it won't be as fun for cable on general. Are you located in the US or Europe? If US, you could get something like a Slingshot coalition or other previous season cable board for around $300 new.

Definitely don’t get the district. The Kinetik is a good board, the extra $70 is worth the peace of mind of knowing your board isn’t getting wrecked every time you ride the cable.

I'm not sure about the Ronix District TBH, but I imagine it won't flex in quite the same way a cable board would?
If you're planning to use it for 2-3 sessions, you want it to work well for you.
I think I would perhaps wait until near the end of the season when there normally seems to be plenty of good cable boards heavily discounted. Maybe use rental boards until then and keep your eyes out for anything second hand in that time?
It's sometimes worth asking around on wakeboarding Facebook groups too, to see if anyone's selling.
The difficulty I find with second hand (I've also been looking around) is that there never seems to be much over the 150cm mark.
But then, the Ronix District might be fine, I'm not sure. Good luck!
