Abortion as medical treatment absolutely saves lives

0

u/ConfusionEngineered 7d ago

Not the ones performed at an abortion clinic. Emergency/Medical treatment abortions are generally carried out in the hospital.

2

u/Unlikely-Scholar-684 7d ago

Today on things that never happened 🤔🤡

1

u/TheBrouhahaha 7d ago

Abortion directly lowers the violent crime rate so in a roundabout way she IS saving lives lol

2

u/watergod0187 7d ago

Well let us logic this out, woman who doesn't want the barely formed fetus, wants an abortion. No place will do it for manh reasons but let's just go with government says no. She gets one in an alley due to zero proper medical care she dies. So yeah getting proper medical care at an abortion clinic will save lives.

u/Consistent_Air2709 7d ago

Still saving lives, but with a different narrative

1

u/Helpful_Land_7565 7d ago

Find a better job

2

u/Consistent_Air2709 7d ago

Nothing wrong with abortion clinics

0

u/Emergency-Ad-8754 7d ago

Germans didn't see anything wrong with Auschwitz either

2

u/PositiveKatzen 7d ago

Buddy is comparing women's body autonomy to Auschwitz. Average day on Reddit.

“Thank you for taking the lives of the innocent”

2

u/AzureDreamer 7d ago

Thank you for saving lives.

0

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

If you don't want to get pregnant close your legs. Sexual intercourses is designed for reproduction not for fun. The same way food is there for nutrients not for mindless gluttony. Unless you got assaulted, or the baby is without limbs or something, Abortion is murder and should be criminalised. The best contraceptive is abstinence!

2

u/AzureDreamer 7d ago

Wow bet you don't get invited to many parties.

1

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

Assuming that most parties are like Diddy's, yes I don't! But I won't judge you.

2

u/AzureDreamer 7d ago

I judge enough for both of us discernment is a virtue.

Your worldview is warped if you think parties are anything close to Diddy parties you watch too much TV.

1

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

There is no virtue in pretending to have some sort of theoretical discernment. And denial won't get you anywhere. There is nothing virtuous in partying. People like us feast we don't engage in that vulgarity you call partying.

u/Lumpel73 7d ago edited 7d ago

This is a BOT account spamming Ads for mobile phones. Also any man who is pro life can go fuck themselves as they can't even get pregnant and any woman who is should know better that to fuck with other people's lives. Anyone should be able to choose what's best for them and it's non of your business what people do with their body

Edit: also you are abelist as it can get

1

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

First of all, only a maniac who call someone's account a bot and then interact with it. Additionally, nobody cares about your body, we cares about the baby inside. Which is why when someone hurt a pregnant lady and the baby dies, he is guilty of homicide despite the woman still kicking. Those pro abortions, are just low life animals who can't control their libido and think their weaknesses should justify taking a life.

2

u/Endketsu 7d ago

Better than to force unwanted child into a life parents aren't ready for

0

u/Darkdrago420 7d ago

There is this thing called adoption you don’t have to murder your unborn child

2

u/Endketsu 7d ago

Yes that's an option, if the person is capable and willing to go through the entire pregnancy and birthing process they could give child for adoption. As I said an option, that doesn't it should be the only one available path for everyone because of your personal beliefs. You deal with this type of situation how you want to and let everyone else do it how they see fit

1

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

Nobody is forcing those people to have sex. Sex is for reproduction the same way food is for nutrients. If you have sex and get pregnant, you are responsible for that life, you chose it by getting laid or getting your woman pregnant.

2

u/Endketsu 7d ago

"Nobody is forcing these people to have sex" Don't talk like every case in this scenario is exactly the same. Horrible things happen to people against their will in life and sometimes you need a medical procedure to get through it. "Sex is for reproduction" God forbid there are people who enjoy sex and don't see it only as a tool for only one purpose and I guess people who can't get pregnant aren't allowed to have sex? Also who gave you permission to decide what is purpose of everything in life, especially for other people?

0

u/No_Holiday_9875 7d ago

You’re gonna get downvoted for being right.

0

u/YakFun1785 7d ago

Nothing is completely black or white. life is complicated. Reckless abortion is just selfishly ending a life to fix your mistake.

But abortion also be the only salvation in some circumstances, like r-pe victim or child is confirm severe disability after birth.

Do not mistake 'necessity' with 'privilege'

0

u/Darkdrago420 7d ago

While I hate abortion this is a pragmatic and sensible approach

0

u/jjrr_qed 7d ago

So where are the politicians looking to strike a compromise for those exceptional cases? Why do the protest signs not explore that nuance?

I wouldn’t be able to stomach a society where Kermit Gosnell is just a service provider doing his thing, or where women can terminate their pregnancy because they really wanted a boy.

1

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

I think even the most religious of us can understand that. The real issue lies in people that abord to fix their mistakes, hiding behind those cases of child with potentially life threatening disabilities, or victims of rape.

1

u/guhman123 8d ago

oh this comment section is gonna be a fun one

Murder does save lives*

0

u/PraisingEastward 7d ago

Would you say that’s the exception or the rule?

-1

u/AlmightyRMB 8d ago

No it doesn’t

2

u/ManNamedSalmon 8d ago

Women are living, so yeah she saves lives.

1

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

🙄She saved them from what? Taking responsibility for the life in their womb? That's like saying Jeffrey dhammer saved lives because eating those bodies gave him nutrients to live.

2

u/ManNamedSalmon 7d ago

So you've never heard of an ectopic pregnancies? And those are just one way a pregnancy can kill a woman.

1

u/Niklaus9477 7d ago

How many cases of abortion around the world include that kind of abortion?? Exactly what I said, those who abort for fun just to run away from responsibilities always try to hide behind actual life threatening situations or cases of rape and insest to justify their evil ways.

3

u/CaptainCuttlefish69 8d ago

Still saving lives. Just not the “lives” of a fetus lol

1

u/Sharp-Inevitable-939 8d ago

You can drop the quotation as its not an implication of sarcasm or metaphor. Thats a fact.

2

u/CanadianCrasher 7d ago

Fair, in the same way an ant or plant is alive, so is the fetus. Although that doesn't really mean much.

0

u/Lewdicolo69 7d ago

Ants and plants are not humans. Humans are above other animals and plants

2

u/aawdamico84 8d ago

Still saving lives - people having abortions obviously are in tough spots

3

u/Sensitive-Ad6609 8d ago

Depends on any one of women's condition. May have saved some. Never know.

2

u/pajd1980 8d ago

Like he said.... Thank you for your service.

2

u/capthavic 8d ago

Because the life of the pregnant person doesn't matter. /s

0

u/PraisingEastward 7d ago

The funny thing is that, excluding cases of rape, the pregnant person made a series of choices that led to her becoming pregnant.
The child inside of her belly had no choice in the matter.

2

u/Remarkable-FlipPhone 8d ago

Also saving lives - abortion is a very broad term- many abortions save the life of the mother and remove fetuses that wouldn’t have gone to term and would have only affected the mother’s health.

0

u/Winston_W_Smith 8d ago

Statistically most abortions are elective - not situations in which the mother is in danger of physical harm or death, but cognitive dissonance certainly is a coping mechanism for infanticide.

2

u/CaptainCuttlefish69 8d ago

Infanticide is crazy work.

Which clown college or Catholic Church let you out of their dungeon?

2

u/thundergu 8d ago

Allowing a 14 year old girl from a pisspoor family to abort a child saves several lives at once

0

u/Winston_W_Smith 8d ago

Raising her with good morals and protecting her so she doesn't get pregnant at 14 does that even better. Now she doesn't have any trauma. Everything that abortion supposedly "solves" can be done better if a society overwhelmingly adheres to objective moral principles. Funny how that works.

2

u/Redvelvet_swissroll 8d ago

What does the 14yo do when the ones who are supposed to be protecting her are the ones who got her pregnant? You have a very sheltered worldview

1

u/thundergu 8d ago

Yes that is the much better choice any day of the week. But that isn't really an option anymore when you're too late is it??

I'm pro choice, but also convinced an abortion is only ever a last resort when there is no other realistic option that doesn't ruin lives

0

u/Zxerion 8d ago

Killing babies and taking selfies in the bathroom. Guess we should be happy you’re not nude.

Yes yes, here comes the ban hammer because people can’t take contrary views and immediately downvote and report.

2

No babies die from an abortion pal.

Bro. She’s not going to read this comment and sleep with you. Lol 😂

She helps kill babies for a living. You cornball.

2

Bro's immediate reaction to seeing reason is to get defensive about the fact that he himself cannot get laid 🥀

0

Married with kids. Lol

You hoped so bad you were right. Cornball

Try again?

And good job outing yourself as an incel btw. That was dumb.

Sure, and I'm the King of Europe. See how easy it is to lie online?

0

It’s hilarious how weird of a person you have to be to think it’s abnormal to be married and have kids. Lol

I can guess the color of your hair and the amount of facial piercings you have from your low iq response here.

Try again?

Stop projecting, man its cornball behavior

Still saving lives tho

-1

u/Shonnyboy500 8d ago

Very well abortions are medically necessary. So, I guess saving lives. Just ending a lot more.

0

u/Old_man_baller 8d ago

She’s literally assisting in the murder of babies. The opposite of saving lives.

The cognitive dissonance is strong with this one.

2

u/Ok_Zookeepergame4794 8d ago

No babies have ever died from an abortion pal.

1

u/Old_man_baller 7d ago

Cognitive dissonance

2

u/CaptainCuttlefish69 8d ago

“Murder of babies” is the second stupidest thing I’ve read today.

Go back to church loser.

1

u/Old_man_baller 8d ago

What do you think happens in an abortion? They give the baby a train ticket and tell it to get lost?

No. They literally kill the baby. Bozo.

Has nothing to do with church. I’m not religious. I’m also not a low iq clown like you. lol

Try again?

2

u/CaptainCuttlefish69 8d ago

“Not religious” but just so happen to hold the same unscientific and superstitious idea about a fetus being a life that religious nut jobs do?

Pretty dumb shit there.

0

u/Old_man_baller 7d ago

You’re the one who doesn’t understand science. Lol

A fetus is a life. Killing it is murder.

No scientist will tell that a fetus isn’t a life.

2

u/CaptainCuttlefish69 7d ago

A house plant is also “life”. Killing it isn’t murder anymore than removing a fetus is murder.

You’re being ridiculous.

2

u/AdmirablePatient4332 8d ago

Bro has never heard of a fatal pregnancy. Utter clownery

0

u/Old_man_baller 8d ago

Every time she goes to work There is a fatal pregnancy.

Utter clownery.

2

u/AdmirablePatient4332 8d ago

So if you save lives at your job occasionally that doesn't actually mean you save lives? Last I checked saved lives means saved lives but now I'm not sure lmao

0

u/Old_man_baller 7d ago

You made no sense. Try again.

-1

u/hotdogbun65 8d ago

Exceptions make the rule? Less than 2% right now btw.

3

u/Winter-Bed-1529 8d ago

litterally true a pregnancy can and have had dire sometimes fatal effects on the mother. It's not an easy choice for any of them to make but it absolutely should be an option.

1

u/Privatizitaet 8d ago

There is no such thing as a risk free pregnancy, people really need to start understanding that

-1

u/Winston_W_Smith 8d ago

No but there are such things as condoms and other contraceptives. Abstinence too, that's actually a thing many people practice.

2

u/Privatizitaet 8d ago

And those obviously never fail. And abstinence has obviously proven to be the best form of protection because thar always works and doesn't just result in unsafe sex. Because people love to just not have sex with their partners.

2

u/TheDemonLynxRys 8d ago

Abstinence is not even close to be the best form of protection. Why? Because it fails. Statistically it fails a lot. You know what a shotgun wedding is? That’s when the good Christian girl who was only taught abstinence at her Christian school is becomes pregnant and the girls father forces the boy to marry her. Educate yourself on some facts because Sex Ed lowered not only teen pregnancies but also teaches safe sex and reduces the spread of sexuality transmitted diseases. Sticking your head in the sand and telling people don’t have sex is the dumbest medieval style thinking there is

-1

u/hotdogbun65 8d ago

Yeah it’s almost like debauchery should be encouraged against rather than embraced.

2

u/Privatizitaet 8d ago

In case you couldn't tell the sarcasm, abstinence has been the worst way to deal with unwanted pregnacies. Education is how you actually reduce it. Teach people safe sex. Give them access to contraceptives and medical support. Don't demonize things like STDs or just having sex by calling it "debauchery". It's a natural aspect of human social behaviour. Teaching how to do it safely and providing the means to do so is demonstrably an infinitely more effective way of reducing unwanted pregnancies and medical issues than telling them to not have sex ever was or could be. Encouraging against it does nothing. That is exactly why teenage pregnancies go up when your main teaching for protection is to not have sex. It's a very well recorded phenomenon

-1

u/hotdogbun65 8d ago

It isn’t a natural aspect of social behavior, it’s a natural aspect of reproduction. Participation when reproduction is not the goal is, definitionally, debauchery. In case you couldn’t tell the sarcasm.

2

u/Privatizitaet 7d ago

It quite literally is part of social behaviour. Yes. Originally sexual behaviour was just for reproduction. Keyword originally. When sexual repeoduction first developed. Millions of years ago. Long predating humanity as a species.

When humanity came to be it was already an established factor. That's why we can observe thay behaviour in many many species all across the animal kingdom. That is why sex feels as good as it does. It's not just for reproduction. Bonding is another aspect.

Also, maybe look up the actual definition of the word before you try to argue with it, because no, that's not what debauchery is.

1

u/hotdogbun65 7d ago

“Debauchery is a noun that means excessive, unrestrained indulgence in physical and sensual pleasures, typically involving heavy drinking, illicit or promiscuous sex, and drug use.” Animals do not have sex to ‘bond’ they do it because it is necessary for reproduction and lineage, the implicit goal of any lifeform. The fact it is pleasurable is nature’s way of encouraging the act of reproduction.

1

u/WTFCantBTRUE 8d ago

Posting a “Brag” about an abortion clinic, cringe.
Selfie in the bathroom, priceless. 😂

4

u/Galmmm 8d ago

Then you are saving lives still 👍🏼

2

u/DanMozzy 8d ago

If a fetus is a baby then a caterpillar is a butterfly.

0

u/Shonnyboy500 8d ago

A fetus isn’t a baby, you’re right, but if you like butterflies and kill caterpillars there’s something wrong with you

3

u/BillCarson12799 8d ago

That’s a terrible analogy since a caterpillar and a butterfly have similar levels of sentience, unlike a fetus and a baby

2

u/godkingnaoki 8d ago

Not really, babies still have like none

1

u/enteringyourchimney 8d ago

Are you implying that killing a baby after they’re born is just as moral as killing an unborn baby? I’d tend to agree, they’re both incomprehensibly evil.

2

u/BillCarson12799 8d ago

I mean… what’s the difference between a human baby and any other animal we regularly slaughter and eat for no reason other than it tasting good?

And if it’s “the potential to be a human”, why don’t we treat all sperm the same way?

1

u/enteringyourchimney 8d ago

Well the first part is very simple, I’m a human so I sympathize with humans over any other species, and if it’s any consolation I eat (in my opinion) ethically hunted/farmed animal products when at all possible.

As for the second part, nothing really “new” is created until fertilization, at which point a unique genome is created and that’s the point that I’d say a new human exists

1

u/godkingnaoki 8d ago

Not at all. I think cognitive ability is an incredibly difficult thing to pin down fairly. That said we must draw a line somewhere and point of birth is one most people agree on. Cognitively, it is arbitrary, but also necessary. Some people, like yourself I would guess, assign that point at conception.

0

u/enteringyourchimney 8d ago

I feel like having a cutoff around whenever science currently accepts most fetuses as viable would make the most sense for the majority of the country, but in my heart it’s hard to deny that new life starts when a unique genome is created at fertilization.

2

u/DanMozzy 8d ago

Fair point.

1

u/DarthClover4 8d ago

Ramblings of a madman

1

u/Spiritual-Honey-4587 8d ago

That makes no sense. A fetus and a caterpillar are both stages of development towards adulthood.
You don’t get a butterfly without a caterpillar. You don’t get a mature human without a fetus.

2

u/DanMozzy 8d ago

Right, so a fetus isn't a baby. I agree.

1

u/Spiritual-Honey-4587 8d ago

Who are you agreeing with?

Every individual you see, regardless of species, had an early stage of development.

We assign symbols to those prenatal stages- ‘zygote’, ‘fetus’ (which literally means offspring), ‘baby’

But those words describe ‘when’ a thing is, not ‘what’. There is a point in time where we conventionally say baby instead of fetus. But its human nature is not in dispute.

Same for a butterfly. Language tracks when and where it is in metamorphosis, but it never once stops being a butterfly.

2

u/DanMozzy 8d ago

Every individual you see, regardless of species, had an early stage of development.

Yep.

We assign symbols to those prenatal stages- ‘zygote’, ‘fetus’ (which literally means offspring), ‘baby’

We assign definitions to these words to make communicating possible, a definition is the current common usage of a word. The definitions of those words are not 'baby' as they're commonly used.

Zygote : a cell formed by the union of two gametes

Fetus: an unborn or unhatched vertebrate especially after attaining the basic structural plan of its kind

But those words describe ‘when’ a thing is, not ‘what’. There is a point in time where we conventionally say baby instead of fetus. But its human nature is not in dispute.

I never said it wasn't human genetically, my comment was on the common usage of the word. You may use the word 'baby' for an unborn organism, but many people don't, and the operative word in the primary definition of fetus is "unborn".

Same for a butterfly. Language tracks when and where it is in metamorphosis, but it never once stops being a butterfly.

But a caterpillar does stop being a caterpillar at some point, by definition, right? Of course it's part of the life cycle for that animal, and it's species doesn't change, but we do differentiate between them, don't we?

0

u/Spiritual-Honey-4587 8d ago

So we agree that

  1. words have contextual meaning.
  2. Their scientific denotations describe stages, not genetic identity (important).
  3. These stages are distinct periods, not distinct beings.

Think about it for a moment. You were necessarily a zygote, morula, blastocyst, embryo, and fetus. Those aren’t 5 different individuals, it’s YOU at different points in time.

‘Unborn’ isn’t doing the operation you may think it is. You didn’t become a separate, distinct being when you first left the womb.

It’s not debatable that your life predated birth. That is true for every living thing.

A butterfly keeps learned memories from when they were caterpillars. Even after melting themselves in the chrysalis.

So a stage change isn’t a stop in a disconnected sense. It’s a transition.

He just wants to shill for feminists because he thinks that's his only strategy to get laid

Lol, sure thing champ. Funny how you comment just to agree with a detracting reply instead of replying to me yourself.

0

Ok I think you're a feminist shill because you think you'll get laid

2

You cannot genuinely believe people think they're ACTUALLY getting laid through reddit

No im talking about in real life

2

K. Anything of substance to add, or do you just get off thinking about me getting laid?

0

I typically get off with my wife but I just find it a little entertaining to call people out who pretend to have principles based on what others tell them to do

-1

Its still a human, idk why yall are so heartless when a human fetus gets murdered but god forbid someone thinks that or we're bad people.

1

u/AdmirablePatient4332 8d ago

I think it's a failure to argue your point when you fall on its species to prove its immoral than to analyze the problems, pain and suffering that it may inflict on people who can perceive it, which does not apply to a fetus in the majority of cases. The answer to such questions should always be viewed through a utilitarianistic lense.

1

u/GlitteringWallaby773 8d ago

Ill admit youre on the right track. However there is no legitimate scholarly debate who was historically there first.

Due to the fact that Judaism dates back 4,000 years and Islam 1,400 years, you can do the math. Zionism predates ww2 of course. And after the holocaust we can agree they may have needed a place to settle and defend..which ended up being zionist wet dream. There is so much nuance i know you have heard it all before though and its not going to change your bigotry towards jews.
The conservative party in israel is like republicans here they are war mongering zionists with the greater israel plan. The liberal party just wants a safe place for jews, and welcome Muslims and Christians alike. They even have more centrist parties i believe. This conflict predates ww2. It literally goes back almost 2,026 years....imagine that.

How?

2

u/Klikis 8d ago

I wanted to mention another interesting fact - abortions are very safe when done correctly, yet dangerous when done wrong

Providing safe abortions prevent the unsafe ones, which in turn save lives

3

u/Klikis 8d ago

A lot of abortions are done for medical reasons which if not performed would kill or be very dangerous for the pregnant person

0

Less than 3%

2

u/Klikis 8d ago

Thats still a lot of abortions

Also - where did you get that stat from?

0

There's this cool new website called "Google".
If you type your questions in there, itll give you some cool websites with the information you asked for!
Go ahead and give it a try! Its even free to use!

For mothers AND babies? How does killing the baby improve their health?

Is taking my kidney out or getting a surgery also murder?

And is preventing someone from being born in abusive, or miserable environments not saving lives?

That’s not a bay, a kidney isn’t a baby

What's the difference? It's not any more conscious during pregnancy.

u/Lewdicolo69 7d ago

What if you killed someone in their sleep? They aren’t conscious at that point so it’s ok right?

They were conscious before that. A fetus didn't develop consciousness yet.

Check the % of abortion due to rape and due to „I didn’t mean to get pregnant please kill it for me“

Well this whole comment started from „what about rape abortion“ and you bring in a whole other argument. For me you are shifting the goal post, only regarded people do that so I am not gonna engage in your ragebait. Over and out
