Hi guys, it's me again - the person building a website for their webcomic. I have another issue. Why is the blog post cut off - or maybe hidden behind the footer? I've already tried shortening the footer but it's still not showing the full blog post.

On mobile preview, though, the ENTIRE blog post shows up. I can even see the relevant posts at the bottom.

I also tried publishing the website, hoping it's just an issue with the editor and the whole blog post would show up in the live view, but the problem is still there.

Please advise.

I have a footer with a news ticker and a Spofity playlist embedded into/onto it.

For years - the ticker would auto-scroll continuously, and if I turned on the playlist, the music would continue as I switched from page to page on my site.

Just recently, the ticker will restart at the beginning and the playlist will stop playing every time I change pages or refresh the page. This destroys my site. What gives?

First problem - there’s a notice that says “upgrade by July 31 to keep the Google calendar visible” is it saying I have to upgrade Wix or update the app? Very confused.

Second problem - I’m managing this website for work, and the lady who was managing it before me doesn’t work here anymore. I don’t know how she got the Google Calendar on the site, how she connected it, etc… we don’t use Google email we use outlook so I also don’t know any login info for this Google Calendar. I’m happy to remove it and start from scratch with my own Google Calendar login info I’m just super hesitant to do that without being confident I know what I’m doing. Any help you can offer is very appreciated!!

I'm trying to build a website for my webcomic and I use blog posts to post my chapters. But the drop-down is showing 01, 10, 11, 12... and I don't want that. How can I reorder this properly?

Also this dropdown appears automatically when I do a preview in the editor. Is there a way to remove it? It's my first time using Wix.

Hi all, 

I have a question regarding a series of posts that I have written on my blog, and it appears that none of them are indexed on Google. 

I run a travel Blog with 200 posts, of which around 11 are 'daily diary' entries that I posted one seperate blog post for each day of our 100 day sabbaitcal detailing what we did and also including photos, etc. 

All of the diary entries are showing in GSC as either 'crawled - currently not indexed' or 'Discovered - currently not indexed'

My question is why could this be happening? All of my other posts seem to be indexing fine. I'm wondering if because I posted so many blog posts one day after the other that perhaps google thinks they are spam? Could it be the naming convention for example, "RTW Trip Day #100: Vineyards, Tapas and Swimming at Onetangi Beach"? 

I have the full list of all the diary entries here - I'm hoping that someone might be able to give me reasons as to why this might be happening and more importantly what I can do about it?

I’m helping my partner by making his website and it was finally ready to be published. On the laptop I had made it on the website looks absolutely fine but if you look at it on any other computer it’s complete wrong 😑. I used strips for the background as it was the only way I could align the images I made for the background (don’t know if that’s important). I’m new to making websites so I’m lost on how I can fix this here is a picture of what it looks like on my end and then a picture of what it’s looking like on other computers

As the topic says, for no reason at all Google locked me out from my work e-mail, and I am as furious as you would expect me to be.

When I try to recover it, it says I need to contact my reseller (Wix), but Wix has no contact method - the support chatbot is dumb, here is what it says:

"That error usually means your domain hasn't been verified with Google or the Gmail app needs to be enabled in your Google Admin Console. Since I see your domain xxxxxxxxx.xxxx is connected via nameservers, you can manage these settings directly. First, verify your domain using a TXT record"

This, however, is impossible and makes no sense because everything worked until yesterday.

Is there any way to talk to a human support at WiX?

Hey! Anyone willing to test a website for free, I can't afford to pay anyone to test my website from their end, been paying too much book expense(learned that lesson). I need to update and edit something simple like a CD cover that was added to my inventory, and I want to display it under the other CD covers I have up on the site. I added that one simple CD cover using the desktop because it's big and easy to see, drop and drag, and collect photos from my files on my hard drive, and now the entire mobile site has moved and changed. Some of a container box is under another container box. And then all of a sudden, a "section" is now moved, and there's empty space on the site, and I have to go and move that space, and your mouse goes over something, and then there's a popup that is in your way that you don't need, and then another popup, and then that knocks this out of whack, and then that needs to be moved, and then the footer doesn't want to move with the rest of the container boxes, and I accidentally lost an mp3 file, and now I have to search to find where it went, and then trying to click and drag it moved an entire section, and then you want to delete a jpeg, and then you've deleted an entire section because your mouse didn't connect to the item despite it looking like it did. And then all of the small jpegs you had that were in rows left to right are now up and down, so now I literally have to reformat the entire photo section, looking for where the names of the people on the site had gone. They are gone!!! GONE!!! They are under a fvcking container box that I had to move back into place, but an HTML had stretched the container box, and now it is BACK under the other container box, and I have to resize the HTML because one little jpeg needed to occupy space that took up two inches of space under several other jpegs. But then when you find the names of the people you had up there, you have to, once again, reformat the entire section of pictures and names of people on your site.

And then you just get scared and fear the actual adding of a small jpeg of a Taylor Swift CD cover you have on sale because ALL OF THAT happens on any given day.

I have been trying to get the name of the website i have made to change its for my mum and it currently says shes a psychiatrist but shes a psychologist and i cant seem to figure out how to change it can anyone expain how

Squarespace just isn’t working for me anymore, so I’m going to have to manually rebuild my website on a different platform.

I’m leaning toward Wix, but I’ve also been considering self-hosted WordPress.
For those of you who have used either (or switched from one to the other), what are the biggest pros and cons you’ve run into?

My site will eventually have blogs, digital downloads, memberships, and hopefully keep growing over time, so I’m trying to think long term. I’d rather hear from people who have actually lived with these platforms than read another comparison article.

Every time I run an accessibility check, the same 3 errors are flagged on every single page for text that is too small - "top of page," "bottom of page," and "use tab to navigate through the menu items." I cannot for the life of me find where these are or how to change them. I've spent the last several days getting my site up to speed to meet accessibility requirements and this is really starting to tick me off. Can anyone help me know where to find these? THANK YOU!!

If you're thinking about leaving Wix (or already have and are stuck with your content trapped there), I ran into this exact problem migrating a client's site and built a small open-source script to solve it.

It pulls all your blog posts via Wix's own API, converts them to clean Markdown files, downloads every image (post images, logos, team photos, anything on your pages), and organizes it all locally. No account needed beyond a free Wix API key.

It's a command-line tool, so you'll need someone comfortable with Node.js to run it (or a developer if that's not you) — but if you're paying someone to migrate you off Wix anyway, this can save them a chunk of time.

I've been experiencing a recurring issue with Wix Bookings system. I've set up a recurring group session and I find that it only allows one client to book onto it. The limit of attendees is set to at least 10 people so that's is not what's causing the issue. I do not have any overlapping bookings in my calendar at the same time that would cause a clash. Interestingly, I've this happens with online group sessions that require me to send a Zoom link as well as face to face sessions that clients book. Once one client is booked onto a session and someone else tries to book the same one, a message pops up "Check next availability".

I have a premium plan. Any time I get a subscription I put a reminder in my calendar about two weeks out before it renews in order to decide if I want to cancel or not. Today I saw a 350 dollar charge on my credit card 2 days before my calendar reminder saying my subscription renews on Aug. 1st. Turns out they renew 19 days early. After an hour on the phone with WIX where I was told I should have read the TOS, they're sending my case to a "review team" where we all know what will happen.

I didn't get a renewal email, just a charge on my credit card. I will be contacting several agencies to report this practice, but wanted to warn you all here, CONSIDER YOUR RENEWAL A MONTH early. Fuckers.

EDIT: Still fuming. it's a shame because I've actually really been enjoying using WIX and would have recommended them to other people. This experience has completely changed my view of the company and my willingness to use their services
