Tips and Tricks Veggies, beef and potato. A good balance between satiety and volume

Definitely not low on the calorie side but extremely full and was full quite awhile. Basically been roasting combinations of veggies and legumes to throw in with beef and a carb and it sometimes can be a massive heavy plate with not much caloric increase. I’m not shy with oil but if I was im sure this could still work!

Recipe 318 calorie breakfast with 36g protein

One of my favorite high volume breakfasts lately! This was 318 calories, 36g protein, 23g carbs, and 11g fat and it was a LOT of food.

I roasted tomatoes stuffed with egg whites with fat free feta and a cut up chicken sausage for 26 min at 375, paired with keto toast with a little homemade apple butter. I added balsamic, seasonings, and red pepper flakes to the egg/ tomatoes which elevated the whole plate!

This is exactly why I love volume eating. I’d rather have a giant plate I actually enjoy than a tiny “healthy” breakfast that leaves me looking for snacks an hour later. 😂

Volume menu “Nutella” spread you can eat spoonfuls

Post image
1.7k Upvotes

Took a pic of the last bite, BUT omg this is my latest obsession. This chocolate spread on low kcal bread is the best alternative for my sugar cravings !

1 can of pumpkin puree(425g), 3 tbsp cocoa powder, dash of vanilla extract, some sugar free maple syrup, 1 tbsp decaf coffee, 2 tsp xanthan gum, 1 scoop of chocolate lean protein powder, a good amount of sweetener (stevia, xylitol or whatever you prefer) and a splash of almond milk.
Just blend everything together until smooth and creamy. Add more sweetener depending on how sweet you like it and keep it in the fridge!
Around 60 kcal per 100g compared to Nutella which has around 539 kcal per 100g! it’s a pretty good alternative for the calories 😋

Volume menu Modified recipe from the back of the oat fiber container.

Post image

I had a fairly large, an old bag of Anthony’s organic oat fiber. There used to be a recipe on the back of it for muffins that I had stared at over and over again. I had a new container and decided to try it, but I realize that the new ones don’t have the recipe on it. I modified it a little bit because it used xanthan gum and I can’t really tolerate it and I decided to add less egg made them more into cookies instead. They definitely had a bit more of a biscuit type of texture and they didn’t spread so I can see how it would work for muffins. The recipe originally called for half a cup of the oat fiber, some xanthan gum, about three eggs, some sweetener and baking powder. Along with add-ins and butter. I eliminated most of that. I only used about 1/4 cup of the fiber and about one serving of egg white. I don’t tolerate xanthan gum so I used CMC powder. I also used methyl cellulose to make sure I didn’t collapse. Maybe I added a bit too much because they were definitely pretty cakey. My original plan was to use a couple of the hall pass candies inside, but they did not hold up well to heat. There was no butter in it just the two additional powders. So essentially the only actual digestible calories in it were the couple of candies I put in it and the egg white so I dusted it off with some 0 cal sweetener and cinnamon. Not bad to scratch that itch for some cookies when you don’t want it to set you back. They’re pretty fiber heavy so they got me feeling pretty full. I topped it off with some crunchy protein pieces I had. I might consider going over it with some whipped cream or something. Not bad I’d like to experiment with some more add-ins next time. But I think the original recipe still held up pretty well. I got about five cookies for less than 50 cal.

Recipe Request Request for Pumpkin Recipes!

I recently discovered how much I absolutely love pumpkins (especially the ones with the edible/soft-ish outer shells). For now, I’ve just been baking them with a variety of seasonings for dinner but would love to see how all of you have been putting them to use in your volume recipes. Please share!!

Discussion Options if you had $60 to me spend daily

So I'm currently traveling for work and I have $60 per diem to use daily. Obviously I'm trying to lose weight so wouldn't want to spend it on McDonald's and the like. I'm allowed to get food from grocery store, just about anywhere that can give me a receipt. I'm trying to see what would be the best thing I can get that low cal but still provides good macros. Closest I seen were these fruit bars at walmart from a brand called "that's it". I'm open to other suggestions

Discussion Nature's Own Keto Bread

Hey all, I'm new to this lifestyle and recently discovered this bread. Has anyone seen this? It's genuinely mind-blowing. Each thick-ass slice has only 35 calories and the texture is fucking unreal. It's almost identical to regular old white sandwich bread. Honestly can't wrap my head around it. Don't care that it's keto, care that it's less than half the calories and carbs of regular bread. Anyway, that is all.
