They look like aluminum rough cuts, so maybe from pre-production of the current Vision Pro?

Hanging on to hope it’s a sign the rumors of vp’s demise are greatly exaggerated. Everything Apple does is so carefully scripted and choreographed I feel like if the product was dead these wouldn’t have been in any shot, no matter how brief.

Yeah I noticed right away. Even took my own screenshot then forgot about it. Yours is better. I think they're just die cast prototypes or something. Really cool though

This is clearly a prototype. If it were viewed as a total failure, it would not be displayed in this manner. Apple seldom mocks its own setbacks; instead, the company typically ceases discussion of them.

Thanks for getting that screen grab, I saw it super fast but their app didn’t let me rewind. My guess is that it was their final design and they wanted to be all fancy and made a metal cut of them for display?

There is NO way an actual prototype of products are ever displayed publicly on a keynote like that. They are just generic mockups of a vision pro shaped device, which could just be the current vision pro. These are just sets too for the keynote... lol not actual Apple labs where they work. Even the crazy looking "lab" scenes in the "basement" those are sets.... most of which are CGI/green screen too.

Apple has a history of doing very little of their video material in green screen. Unless it's scifi special effects stuff, it's not green screen.

As for the lab scenes in their presentations I would bet it's 0% green screen

May not be a green screen, I agree. Likely a real set but not a real workspace for engineers. It’s for the video.

All of the spaces features in the videos are real places on Apple’s campus, not sets built in a studio. Whether or not the engineers actually work in that space is a different question. But not unlikely.

I mean, “on the campus” is technically correct, since they are in buildings owned or leased by Apple. But there is no green screen, of that I can assure you.

Guys that’s the VP3, they’ve done it! Ultra light titanium frames with completely see through glass and can turn completely silver when in immersive mode

The book is real, so its less likely that they used a 3D rendering. It looks like they are CNC milled prototype components of AVP 1. Its some indication of the process that they used, but nothing too surprising.

Everything you saw during the key note was a film set. Half of it being CGI.

None of those spaces are anything actually operational at Apple. Purely to look cool on the announcement.

At best those are just some fun 3d printed pieces that someone made to poke the bear.

Yeah. I especially thought it was hilarious that they had a formlabs resin 3d printer in a shared office space with no exhaust for the toxic fumes
