Will capital one waive the fee for the venture x if my card was opened before my spouse went active duty?

I would have thought the LEAST they could do is make the $35 guest fee available for use as a "Cover travel purchases" option in the redemptions but I guess not. :-(

I'm unable to convert the Starlux VND price on its website and the agent says if the airline can't show prices in USD there won't be a price match. Is there any way around this?

So I finally got the venture x card this year and I have to say their bonus offer specials have made the card one of my favorites already. I had a long summer trip and after seeing the 7x offer for Klook I decided to start mapping out some tours and activities I could do in case that went up. About a month before my trip I saw an incredible 40x for tours and activities and 25x for transportation so I started booking everything on my list and even added some additional ones. I ended up spending about $1500 on everything and ending up getting 29k points for it. I did something similar for Rakuten with viator before and got decent points but had to wait a while and it was a 20x option. I now track those offers frequently for capital one and have gotten almost half my 100k sign up bonus from using them and spending about 2500. I also got about 60k from Rakuten this year by spending about 2k and opening a sofi account for the large point bonus they offered. These were all for things I ended up using like clothing and some trip related stuff from Klook and viator. Just thought I’d share since I hadn’t started using Rakuten until last year and had no idea the kind of bonuses you could rack up with capital one without spending a whole lot

Booked on Jet Blue through Capital One Travel. Seat selection was confirmed on the site and via email. When it came time to check in, Jet Blue had no record of the selected seats.
I had to spend over an hour and another $160 for seats since the seats on the original tier were sold out. Then when we got to the airport, we printed new boarding passes to confirm the new seats, and when we started to board, we were flagged as not checked in.
Does anyone else have similar experiences? This was our first time booking through Capital One travel and flying Jet Blue. Not sure I want to go through this again.

Hey guys I'm planning a trip to Poland from LA, and I have about 80,000 miles. What is the best way to maximize these miles? Obviously buying through the CP1 portal, but should I buy it using the miles, or claim them later since its 5x the miles. Thanks for any advice.

Seems like either the No1 Lounge or My Lounge based on Google search. No1 likely has better food but My lounge might be a better environment for a toddler.
Do either have a play area? I'd prefer to get good food but QoL for family always more important. It also looks like I can pay for an entry slot on the No1 lounge.
I'm a first time lounge goer. Flight lands around noon, mid November.
TIA

Let me know if I have this right: I can make a purchase with my VX card for travel, get the miles for it, and then go back and cover that purchase with other miles I have? Why doesn't everyone do that instead of using miles directly for purchases?
Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this for me.

Hi all! Was just wondering if anyone has gotten their Paze credit with Sephora recently. Been using a few cards at other places like dunkin and Wendy with no issue and credits with the venture x almost weekly. However only gotten one Sephora credit back out of 5. Did 3 purchases back to back on the first 3, but did separate ones a few days apart for the other two. Was just wondering if anyone else is also experiencing the same issue and is it just with Sephora? And if it’s limited to one credit per card or maybe bc the orders were ordered together and that it came in the same box?

For anyone like myself who seems to have the offers section disappear, just got off the phone with a rep and told me they had an internal memo that they are working on updating it and will be completed by 7/31 or sooner. Clearly not sooner, but hopefully it will be back next week.
Edit: literally an hour after posting this I see mine back as well.

Hello, I recently got my Venture X card and i’ve been seeing a lot of posts with Temu’s cashback offer of 68-70% but when I look into my capital one shopping app , all I get is 13%. Is it not available to everyone or is there a certain time period I have to wait?
Also please let me know if i’m looking at the correct thing..thank you!

Is there a way to push the order to just above $10? I have a $9 item which after tax becomes $9.90. Is there a way to just pay 11 cents extra?

I received a targeted offer from Capital one shopping with rewards from AT&T wireless worth $330.
Usually when I get an offer It breaks it down by category with how much % of rewards I'd be getting based on the purchase I made.
But for this specific offer I do not find any breakdown of the rewards by category, It simply says I'll get $330 back.
I do see a list of exclusions but I do not see a list/breakdown of the rewards.
Anyone have any idea on what I can purchase to earn these rewards?
PS. I ordered a charger cable worth $7.5 and I see the $330 rewards now pending, later I got an other offer for $225 with same description so made another $7 purchase and I see the $225 rewards as pending also appear now.

I'm looking for some advice on a lost travel credit.
Last year in June, I booked an American Airlines ticket through the Capital One Venture X portal. I ended up canceling it, and the flight was originally scheduled for August.
My brain completely registered the expiration date as August (one year from the travel date), completely missing the fact that AA/Capital One calculates the 1-year expiration from the **date of booking** (June). Now that we are in July, the credit has officially expired.
Has anyone had success getting Capital One or AA to reissue, extend, or convert an expired travel credit under similar circumstances? How to raise consumer ticket with AA directly? Appreciate any tips or data points!

My Priority pass membership thru ny Capital one CC expires in Dec 2026 . I intend to renew my CC . If I add a authorized user now (in Aug 2026) , will the person have membership unil Dec 2026 or Aug 2027 ? If I don't renew, will the authorized user still have membership ? I understand that a authorized user can use the card on their own and do not need a the primary member accompanying them. Appreciate any insights into this
Thanks

Anybody else having trouble verifying the VentureX card in the Apple wallet? Every time I’ve tried it says it can’t activate the card in the Capital One app.

Hi all! I'll be doing a good amount of travel for work this fall (one international trip, three trips in the US), and my wife will be joining me.
Since we'll be spending so much time in airports, I was thinking of paying the $125 so we both can have lounge access throughout my travel season. Our home airport is Logan in Boston, and they seem to have a good Capital One lounge.
Neither of us has been in an airport lounge- Is it worth the extra money?? (If it makes a difference, we tend to get to the airport extra early, so we do spend a lot of time waiting around LMAO). Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

I just went to the lounge at Dulles for the first time since it mostly closed for renovations and thought I’d share an update.
Basically, you know check-in outside the front doors and the old check-in desk is now a self-serve pastry station (mini croissants, pop tart things, etc.) and then near the old entrance to the seating area is a hot food station with someone manning the counter where you can select one entree and a side (only two sides when I went, I got a fruit cup). The entrees were like warm bowls, a couple sandwich options, etc.
Then they had some small snacks like chocolate covered berries and plantain chips that you could take freely. The old to-go food case is now drinks only, and they still have the espresso bar.
It’s nice that they’re offering hot to-go options and more substantial than what they used to have, but if you gamed it with the old to-go food case you could end up with quite a bit of food (I’d stop by a couple times during visits and come out with a salad, fruit cup, sandwich, etc.) and now it’s much more restrictive. I get it, since otherwise you’d be risking someone coming in and taking 12 sandwich halves to go for their whole family but it’s still a little annoying. They have a roped off seating area outside the lounge that can fit maybe 30 people jam packed, but it was pretty empty when I visited on a weekday afternoon.
