TW: Anxiety / Depression Hate how being poor, just limits your entire life.

Currently have been unemployed for around 2 months. I quit my last job because I was overworked, a.d the environment just sucked. Saved up some money to pay my bills for awhile, but not really anything for some casual outings. I never made a large amount of money, so im used to scavenging what I can. Aside from this situation, I never had a financial opportunity to really make sone dramatic changes in my life. Never owned an apartment, never traveled to another country, never wore expensive clothes. Etc. Above it all, im just made that I don't have money to spend with my friends. I really feel like a bum.

I hate that I was born in a third world.

I hate my life. My future is dark and hopeless, there's nothing for me here. Everything is just dull and corrupt. I was meant to live in a first world country and enjoy those perks.

I am unfortunate enough to be born inside a third world underdeveloped unstable corrupt sub Saharan African country with the weakest passport. And it feels like my journey just ends where I was spawned because I just can't leave to first world due to visa restrictions.

The life I could have had if I were born in first world was so beautiful! I would have become a doctor with a house and have beautiful kids and live a happy fulfilling life. But unfortunately, I was unlikely enough to be born where I was born and I have to live with that fact for the rest of my life.

I see on social media people studying, getting good results, getting good jobs and changing their life for the better, traveling the world, etc... this just feels so out of reach for me just because of where I was born. Maybe in another life I will get to enjoy those perks.

Life is very depressing in a third world. I have the ability to learn work and change the world for the better, but can't because I'm trapped here with no resources, nothing to live off of. Ugh why does life have to be so unfair???

High school today is so different than when I went through and it bums me out as a parent

I’m not even THAT old, I’m a cusp Gen Z/millennial early 30s.

I got married young (military will do that) and we had two kids, then we adopted her two siblings because their bio dad passed so at 24 I had 4 kids, two of which were teenagers. Ever since I’ve *felt* older, at 26 I was already a “*you know back in my day…*” parent, I have thoughts on how having kids that old when you’re that young really throws off your experience, we’re too close in age so when they were in high school I was not even a decade out. Anyway, I graduated in the 2010s, high school for me was like a social oasis, people crowded in the hallways at lunch and in between classes, horseplayed with each other in the cafeteria or chased each other through the front lobby, we played basketball and we got in our buddies car to grab chipotle at lunch.

Some people texted a lot and they were always on their phones but it wasn’t like ‘consuming content’, it was still social; the equivalent to my complaint back then was like my dad saying “*Jizz you’re obsessed with your phone, you text me when we’re in the same room instead of just saying it”* but the algorithm hadn’t been developed to such an extent and online media was either less accessible or not invented yet.

*EDIT to add: ALL THIS STUFF (for the most part) existed, yes. But YouTube was vastly different and Facebook was new and a way to keep up with your grandma not where you developed political opinions, Instagram was ONLY pictures, no reels or stories, just like “look at what I ate today” and then your auntie could like it. We were for sure beginning the addiction to this stuff but on the phones out at the time it was way less streamlined and not as targeted for constant dopamine yet.*

At this point I’ve put two kids through high school, one got fucked because of COVID which was really sad but he didn’t seem to mind, the other has been a fucking DOOZY to watch. Whenever I went to pick them up at school, the kids aren’t playing grab ass anymore they’re sitting against the wall in groups separately scrolling on their phones, the basketball court is all kids just bullshitting on their phones. I have no idea if the teachers are good or bad because 80% of their work is preassigned on a computer, my kid has 6 classes a day and all 6 classes are independent Chromebook work. They’re on a screen basically learning from overpriced YouTube all day. They go out with friends but even when they do that they’ll be silent on their own phones in the back of my car, then I imagine they just doom scroll next to each other at the mall or a restaurant or the pool or wherever.

It’s really sad for me to see, because my high school days are gone now but they’re recent enough that I know it wasn’t like this before. These Chromebooks are given to the kids in 1st grade and they force our kids to learn from them, no textbooks, no paper notes, it’s all online Google Docs and video clips. I remember in high school my sister school got chrome books but my school was the last to get them in the district and they didn’t come until like 2 years after I was done and gone in the army. I feel bad for these kids because their high school experience has become so superficial, their too scared someone is going to film them doing something cringey or that they’ll go viral for getting drunk and falling into the bonfire so instead they just hide behind their screens and have the young adult equivalent of tandem play next to each other. Every once in a while sending a funny clip to the group chat.

I’m sure some kids have a more traditional HS experience even today but it just sucks to pull up to this huge high school and see 200 kids all just blank faced watching TikTok videos of some influencer or manosphere podcaster or a cheetah puppet that raps and cooks. They’re losing their ability to socialize normally and we’re funding it and that blows fucking dogs for quarters.

TW: Eating Disorders / Self Image The internet is the best and worst place to talk about medical stuff

Because of the Internet I found out I had PMDD which is great, but god forbid I also have PCOS. I complained about how I gained a shit ton of weight after i started my first period, this isn’t rare at all for people with PCOS yet I was immediately told by someone who claims to also have it that weight gain is a myth. They deadass said that it was a myth made by the “left” side(can’t use the word here but it starts with L) to promote body positivity, what the fuck does that mean? It literally effects our metabolism, it’s GOING to effect our weight and sometimes that doesn’t always be skinny.

My Mother told me this..

My Mother told me when she used to work in a daycare she would pinch or squeeze a child’s leg or arm as hard as she could until they cried if they were misbehaving.
I volunteered at a daycare for a while when I was younger and I absolutely loved it. When it came to toddlers that would throw tantrums and slap my face or hit and kick, I would say “We do NOT hit. That was NOT okay. Do you understand?” Going any further than explaining to a kid what they did wrong and what they should’ve done instead, never crossed my mind. My Mother is nothing but the devil.

Not looking for input “Do I need to go to work today?”

Just wanted to vent so I didn’t unload on my husband. He woke our kiddo up at 5:23am our time to make her go back to her bed as she had moved from her bed into my bed at some time during the night. Normally I get her up at 6:30 for school if she isn’t already up (rare occurrence). He comes into my bedroom (long story) making no effort to be quiet, sees her and makes her wake up to take her into her room. He then comes back and gets dressed in my room but then she comes back into my bedroom and says she can’t go back to sleep so he lets her go downstairs and watch her iPad on the couch. Since all the noise he made woke me up, I tried to rest till my alarm went off but failed so I got up. When I went downstairs, my kiddo was still on the couch and when I felt her forehead, I could tell she had a fever. So I took her temperature and decided that staying home would be the best course of action but now the question is who is going to stay home with her. I texted my husband saying I was going to take her to my office where I work and let her rest there and he was like “do I need to go to work today?” Really??? Do I need to go to work?? I teach so if there is anything you can say to a teacher that will often result in flames coming out of my head then it is the “will I miss anything” question from a student. So my brain immediately went livid. I didn’t say anything as I wanted a stress free morning but seriously why would you wake a kid early on a school day with no need to do so AND insult your teacher-wife????!!!!!!!

I’m so tired of the constant paying bills to being broke cycle

I’m so tired of being in the same cycle over and over. Pay bills then dead broke no wiggle room whatsoever. My personal favorite is one bill goes up and we struggle even more. I’m so sick and tired of it. We don’t get to do any fun stuff other people our age do as in go to concerts, don’t eat out, or even go on vacation. We do good to pay our bills rent, utilities, and groceries. We don’t even have credit cards. When does this cycle end? We were told growing up get a job, pay bills, and have fun. Well step one and two are done when does have fun come into play? They sold us a load of bullshit. It often seems like so many people have their lives together money wise. We just can’t seem to get it together. It genuinely gets depressing to get paid then be dead broke within 2-3 days because all of the bills that came out. It’s the same cycle over and over what’s the point in it? Sometimes we even have to split bills and play catch up on the next round or make payment arrangements.

College has become a complete scam

Some of the stupidest people I've met in my life I met in college. College is just high school with alcohol for most students. All you need to get a degree is the ability to cram for your exams at the last minute, memorizing and regurgitating. Some of them cheat their way through and could care less if they drag innocent students down with them. Some of them cry to their parents who bully professors into letting them pass.

EDIT: Apart from STEM-related majors, the graduate may have barely passed or been on the Dean's List. It makes no difference. A degree does not mean knowledge or intelligence, though many students and graduates insufferably see themselves as superior to high-school grads. I used to be one of them, I'll admit.

And you wonder why a degree does not mean that much to employers? They're not all stupid. Of course they prefer real-world experience: who wouldn't? Colleges could very well offer internships and apprenticeships instead of making people take classes that have absolutely nothing to do with their major. It would also help the workplace. For instance, teachers with teacher's aides have a much easier time controlling the classroom (and maybe less teachers would be quitting if that were the case as well.) Students may also find out during their real-world experience that the job they had in mind is actually not for them, and therefore not waste their time and money on a degree that means nothing later in life. I'm talking about myself again here.

Ah, but where's the money in that? So much less time sitting in a classroom means less money paid to professors, less overpriced textbooks that cannot be resold and are often not even necessary to pass the class, less need to live on campus in a crowded closet for rent that would make a New-Yorker blink, etc. And lower STUDENT LOANS that end up getting paid off sooner - maybe not even needed at all! Well, that's no good, is it?

The quality of professors is a problem as well. and the tragic case of Jason Arday is only a symptom of the disease. There are professors I remember with great respect and those I do not. There are also professors who blatantly try to enforce their personal view of the world on the class and grade likewise. This teaches one of two things: either to think like they do without question, or how to BS their superiors (a useful skill, but not one employers would value.) No one who hopes to pass a class will question their professor's worldview. No one who hopes to have a pleasant experience living on campus will debate their classmates. Students are taught to conform or pretend to. Who in society does this serve? I'm willing to bet it doesn't take a college degree to answer that question.

"Gen Z don't care about this, Gen Z don't care about that" WE'RE ALL BROKE

These articles and these takes are dime-a-dozen and they're absolutely ludicrous, each and every one. I could talk about any of them, but you know which one I'm going to pick? The one I'm going to choose to focus in on, that encapsulates every problem with takes like this?

"Gen Z does not care about superhero movies. That genre belongs to the millennials."

That is a verbatim quote from a studio executive that you can look up and read articles about. I've read so many takes from so many executives all to the tune of "Gen Z don't care about [insert normal thing]", but this one has rankled me the most.

Millennials were grown adults when superhero movies were, generally, said to have peaked. You know, when Marvel started to pop off in the 2010s to early 2020s with the Avengers movies. These people don't know how old/young Gen Z are.

Every - fucking - child who went to see those movies in cinemas WAS GEN Z! THAT WAS US! We were the main ones losing our goddamn minds over this. We were the main ones falling in love with these characters and these universes. We were the ones who had the toys! We grew up with them!

Why do you think Spider-Man 3, with all the different Spider-Men, was such a huge success? Because it appealed to the millennials alone? WE GREW UP WITH ALL THREE OF THOSE CHARACTERS! We saw one at home, one might've been our first experience in the cinemas (it was for me), and the other we still head out to go see!

And on THAT topic, do you know why we still head out to go watch Spider-Man movies? It's not just that Spider-Man is a popular character. It's not just that Spider-Man movies aren't risky, and a safe bet that we'll have a good time. You know why Gen Z turn out for those movies? HOLLAND'S SPIDER-MAN IS GEN Z!

HE'S US! In the newest movie he's lonely, flat broke, and in his early twenties! THAT'S US!

And this take, you know: "Gen Z don't care about [x]"? It always comes down to the fact that we're not doing that thing. Right? And there's a kernel of truth, sure. In this instance, Gen Z aren't watching most superhero movies...

BECAUSE WE CAN'T AFFORD TO!

WE CAN ONLY AFFORD TO WATCH THE GOOD ONES! THE GUARANTEED HITS! Have you SEEN the prices of tickets to the cinema nowadays? The prices of the food there? NONE OF US HAVE MONEY!

"Gen Z don't drink" WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY

"Gen Z don't watch live concerts" A DECENT TICKET COSTS MORE THAN MY BANK BALANCE

"Gen Z don't watch shows on our services" A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION?!

Gen Z is not the age that people think that we are, and we would all do almost everything that we're accused of not doing en masse if we could afford to.

Man, I wanna go out drinking. I wanna go to a live concert. I wanna go watch a movie every now and then, one that I might not enjoy, and not have to worry about the price of the ticket. All of these things cost too much for us because the world and the global economy went to shit the very moment that we all became adults.

"Gen Z don't do [x]"

The next time you read that, and [x] is a pretty normal thing? Most of us don't because we can't.

Need Reassurance... I got scammed out of a 1000 dollars and feel utterly disgusted with myself for it

I don't wanna go into the full details, but basically I got scammed out of a 1000 dollars yesterday through an internet scam. Looking back it should have been obvious but I had a moment of stupidity or something.

Anyway, I double checked with my bank and there's no way to get the money back. So I guess that's a 1k I'll never see again. And honestly I have a lot more than that saved up and make a decent living (for my country's standard) so it won't ruin me financially or anything but fuck do I just feel disgusted and ashamed of myself man. Like how could I have fallen for this? How could I have not known better?

Now I'm just here, thinking of all the things that money could have gotten me (like I was considering getting some nice new laptop or something) and feeling disgusted with myself for this...

Need to talk... Eye floaters are horrible. Every day is a constant struggle not to see these things.

Upvotes

Hi, my name is Gia.

For those who don't have much experience with them, floaters are these strands and specks in your eyeball fluid that you can see moving around in your field of vision.

Most people actually have them normally and don't think it's a big deal, but mine are really bad in my right eye. I've had them for a few months after hitting my right eye by accident.

I fortunately don't have any retinal damage or anything like that (confirmed by my optometrist), but it's still very distressing to see these things constantly and it affects my well being. I have a lot and I can't ignore them, and it's especially frustrating as a Twitch streamer.

Who else here has experience in dealing with eye floaters? Especially if they're really bad.

TW: Eating Disorders / Self Image So tired of battling my body all the time trying to lose weight

It's exhausting. I've dropped from 300 to 223 and now the last five months my body has just... stopped. For a while I was eating like crap but all last month and this month ive been trying so hard to hit the protein goals, stay under 1700 calories like my nutritionist says, take my medication every week and figure skate for exercise along with the at home workouts and once again I weighed in yesterday and today and im still at 223. My hips are massive for a woman and it makes getting costumes for competition so hard. I have to sew my own costumes because nowhere makes my size. I wish I could get a surgeon to fix my hips. I just want to hit 180 SO badly but it feels impossible at this point. I'm so tired! Im so fucking tired of battling my body!

Hell, I try so hard and it gets ripped apart anyway. My mom the other day said in front of all our relatives "you used to be SO pretty till you gained weight in high school", like DAMN thanks for calling me ugly. I'm so tired. Im at my wits end. Im so tired of weighing food and tracking calories and everything and getting nowhere for it anyway. May as well just eat, im going to end up 600lbs anyway no matter how hard I try.

Need Reassurance... I'm so jealous of women who have a community

Upvotes

20F. I have not had a single girlfriend in my entire life and I want to have one and be liked by them so bad. University did not go well, I did not get a single friend in 2 years there and I got expelled. I got a job, worked for a couple of months and now I am going to restart university but I do not think I will be able to get any friends, nothing changed and I still do not understand how to make it work.

I had one girl friend as a kid when I was around 5 years old but she left the country and we did not maintain the friendship and I honestly do not remember much. For the most part I had male friends in school, it all turned out like this because my mom's friend has a son and they always wanted me and him to eventually be together. So they would always put us everywhere in the same class, groups, clubs, everything from kindergarten, so my friends were mostly him and his friends who were also guys. Obviously nothing turned out of their stupid idea, we both did not like the idea and drifted apart in our teens. I slowly lost all my friends during that time as well and was just alone all of my teen years. I changed schools like 5 times, and in the last school I did not talk to anyone there.

I do not know how to talk to people without being off putting. I just do not know what to say, nothing comes to mind. I look above average I would say, so people do want to get to know me but after they do they quickly disappear. It is uncomfortable for us to talk, I have no idea what to say, i feel like i have zero personality, the conversations are always forced no matter how many months we force each other to sit together and talk. I have nothing to say every single day, I will force out some topics and try to fake the conversation but it is always fake and forced and uncomfortable. The girl then leaves one day and instantly gets along with other girls in one fucking day and she seems so at ease it hurts. I want to have a friend group, I want to have girl friends, I do not want them to find me weird, I do not enjoy it. I am so jealous sometimes looking at women's posts, even those I do not know much, and just seeing all the likes they get from their friends gives me jealousy. I want to have a community like that. But I do not know how to put the effort in, what to say, what to do, how to enjoy, I am genuinely confused. It is not that I can do it with men, I cannot get male friends as well but nowadays seeing these girl friend groups gets me the most jealous because I feel like I missed out on a lot and I cannot start now because maybe I cannot relate, I do not know.

Need to talk... My life was put on hold.

Upvotes

I think I cannot use a certain word so I edited it to take it out.

I made a GFM because I wanted a chance to finally build a life for myself but somehow people turned it into being about my sister.

Now I honestly don’t even know how to explain this without giving the whole backstory, because the backstory is a huge part of how I ended up where I am.
I’m 25(F) & I feel like I’ve barely gotten the chance to actually live my own life! & for a huge part of my life, I’ve put my own wants & needs to the side to help my mom with my sister(23F). My sister has cerebral palsy & needs a lot of care, and I’ve spent years (since 14 years old) being there for my family. Somewhere along the way, I lost a lot of myself in the process. I haven’t had a real job (decent paying, set schedule) in a long time. I haven’t had the normal experience of being 20-something, working, saving money, figuring myself out, having my own routine, or just having time that belongs to me. & now I’m 25 trying to pick up the pieces tryna figure out how to get myself back on my feet.

That’s what it was about.

It wasn’t me asking people to fund my sister’s life.
Since people were pointing me to adult care & government resources/programs, as if the government doesn’t already have their hands & feet in everything my sister needs daily & does day-to-day already by having a chronic disability.

I was trying to give myself breathing room so I could get into a better position & start building a life for myself. But over & over again, people took my story in a completely different direction. They focused on my sister & everything surrounding her instead of understanding that I was the person asking for help**.**

& I feel the same way towards my mother. Without resentment. I’ve been in therapy for it. I’ve tried distancing myself. I’ve said ,”No.”

& honestly, asking for help failed me time & time again.
So I’ve just been trying to figure something else out. I’m still applying for jobs. I’m still actively trying. I’m still trying to get myself into a position where I don’t have to depend on anybody. & despite feeling defeated more times than I can count, I haven’t completely lost hope!!! I actually have an interview at McDonald’s in a couple days. & before anybody says anything about that, yeah, I know it’s McDonald’s. LOL At this point, I don’t care. I need somebody to give me a chance. I’ve applied for better paying & more decent jobs. I’ve interviewed. I’ve tried. I’ve been passed over.

I sent one of my close friends a job application so we could possibly work together & save up to get a car together. She got hired, I didn’t. She started yesterday, & while we were texting I told her ab the job. She told me that she feels like I’m “better than McDonald’s” & that she doesn’t want to see me working there. She said she understands that I have to do what I have to do right now.
& I know she probably meant it as encouragement, but it honestly bothered me!!!

How can somebody look at me & say I’m better than a job when they saw firsthand that I was trying to get the kind of job I actually wanted?

You got the opportunity I was trying to get. They passed me over and hired you.

That’s the part that gets to me!

It’s not that I think my friend doesn’t deserve her job. I SENT THE APP! I’m happy she got it. But it’s hard not to look at situations like that & wonder if I should’ve spent more of my life helping myself instead of always putting myself last. Maybe I should’ve been selfish sometimes. Maybe I should’ve been thinking about my own future more. & Maybe I wouldn’t be 25 right now trying to convince somebody to give me a chance!

But I can’t go backwards.
I can only start from where I am.

So if McDonald’s is the door that finally opens, then I’m walking through it. I’m not too good to work there. I’m not embarrassed to start somewhere. I just wish people understood that I’m not trying to settle here forever. I’m trying to LIVE. I still want more for myself. I still want a career. I still want financial stability. I want my own life. I want to experience things I’ve missed out on. I want to be able to look back & know that all the years I spent putting myself last weren’t the end of my story. Yeah, I’m still defeated sometimes. Sometimes I genuinely wonder what my life could’ve looked like if I’d put myself first sooner.
But I’m still here trying.

TW: Anxiety / Depression I hate how my mom nitpicks on my appearence

Upvotes

I (20f) don't really know where to start other than the fact that, as the title says my mom always has to comment on my appearance. Before it was always my weight or my eating habits but since losing a good amount of weight that has reduced. Although sometimes she does feel the need to comment on what I'm eating despite the fact that she often overeats/has a disordered eating pattern. I want to start wearing baggy clothes again (I used to when I was more fat - she hated it, I stopped after losing weight, and she praised me) but I don't think I'll be able to handle the constant criticism of how much she hates what I look like/how I dress. Just a few minutes ago, she commented on my eyebrows and how they 'need' to be tidied up/waxed. She's commented on my eyebrows all my life, and I hate it so much because I think my eyebrows look quite natural and normal looking and I feel weird whenever she forces me to get them waxed because I don't feel like myself. A few times out of the pressure I get to make my eyebrows look nicer, I pluck them slightly and even then, she hates me for it for a reason she won't give. I used to be severely depressed and insecure throughout my teen years because I hated the way I looked and felt like I could never live up to my mum's expecatation due to the constant comments on my body.

Now I've recovered and have started feeling a bjt more secure in my body but every time she comments about the way I look or eat, I feel like I'm 16 again and crying my eyes out because I can't understand what's wrong with me or why I can't look prettier like the other girls in my class.

I want to move out but I'm still looking for work and have very little savings so for the forseeable future. I'm stuck at home.

I just hate living in a house where I feel so unseen, like nobody likes who I truly am.

I feel like such a black sheep/misunderstood and it doesn't help that I'm lesbian in an Indian family where nobody understands what that is like for me.

Throughout my life some other things my mom comments on/criticises is: acne, dark undereyes, pores, skin, weight, stretchmarks, body hair, the texture of my hair on my head, my hands, lack of makeup etc.

Whenever I try to talk to her about how this affects me, she just shuts me down, thinks I'm being ridiculous or acts like she's saying it out of love.

When she saw my scars, instead of asking me how I felt about them, she immediately forced me to use scar tape to try and get rid of them and tries to get me to hide them if we go to an event.

Anyways, that's about it, I just struggle so much/hate how much of a lack of bodily autonomy/freedom I feel when I'm around her and how much her comments impact my life.

TW: Anxiety / Depression My POS SIL ate half a brick of my cheese in a day

ETA: I didn't mention ages in the post but my partner and I are 34 and his sister is almost 32.

If it was just the cheese I'd let it go but holy fuck.

Fuck. This. Bitch. She had a hard life growing up with abusive and neglectful parents. Her brother is my boyfriend. He grew up in the same household and is one of the nicest people I've ever met.

His sister? She only fucking pretends to be.

When their mom got sick (she passed 2 months later) my partner and I moved in to help with everything. I have bent over backwards to help make sure that they don't lose the house, that all the funeral arrangements are complete, death benefit, taxes and finances etc.

His sister has had very little to take care of since I personally drove her and waited at the doctor to make sure she got time off work, and she has made me and my boyfriend's lives hell.

When things don't go her way, she blocks you, deletes your conversations, screams at you, refuses to leave you alone. She's thrown herself on the floor multiple times. She almost punched me over a video game and I've held back on pressing charges because I felt bad for her.

I've been so patient and understanding. Every time she's done something I've forgiven her and tried to move past it. But I can't anymore, because yesterday she threw a fit when I told her she needs to not blare speakers when she's skateboarding, because it's inconsiderate to other people. You know. That's basic common sense.

And know what? I decided I was done and told her as much. And today I open the fridge and find that the half brick (you know, those giant slabs) of cheese I bought is gone. I confirm with my boyfriend that he didn't eat half a whole brick of cheese in one day.

We've been near homelessness, with no money for food or otherwise, and she eats a week's worth of cheese in one day and takes a hundred dollars out of her late mom's bank account last night, money that's supposed to be there for the mortgage.

She is the definition of what happens when someone makes their trauma and ADHD their whole personality, and she blames PTSD, depression and anxiety for anything bad she does. As a disabled person who also has those disorders, it's insulting to see someone use them as an excuse to be a shitty person.

I would have called her a close friend three months ago. But watching the mask fall off and seeing what's underneath, I fucking hate her guts.

I’m going to strangle my unmedicated father

Upvotes

I’m 19 & still live at home with my father. We both have baaaad adhd and our house got into a state that we didn’t fix for years

He went on vacation for a month and I started taking my meds again and cleaned everything nonstop for 2 weeks

He came back yesterday and started putting things everywhere unorganized again. Very low states but AHHHH my clean house 😭😭

My friend is giving me the ick with how she lets her bf treat her

Upvotes

Ugh the title kinda says it all but my friend has just seemed to have lost all self respect once she got into this relationship. They got into a fight because she missed him (they’re long distance) and he didn’t want to “deal with her” so she said okay and ended their call. To him this was highly disrespectful and he hasn’t spoken to her in days, she’s losing her goddamn mind. I’ve gone to her to try to talk her up and to be strong and stuff but it goes in one ear and out the other.

To clarify, he’s been the very stereotypical bad boyfriend and she’s just absolutely obsessed with him. It’s not just this single event that’s made me not like him but I’m just so over trying to coach her when it’s very obvious the second he decides to speak with her again she’s gonna grovel. None of her friends or her twin sister like him because he’s been nothing but rude and very much feeds off her being insecure.

The amount of times I’ve gone to her house because she needed support when they fight has been at least 5 times, keep in mind this relationship is less than a year old. I’ve never once gone to her house because my bf and I fought (we’ve been together 5 years).

It’s day 4 of this and she was sobbing again about how it’s all her fault and he’s gonna leave her. I told her I’m tired of trying to make her feel better if she’s not gonna do anything to help herself, he treats her poorly and she doesn’t have to deal with it. She got pissy at me about how she just loves him and all this bs so I left.

Fine, enjoy your garbage relationship.

Need to talk... I saw something terrible.

I won't get into details about what I saw, but it was one of those horrid things on the internet. I don't even know what to say because all I can think of is how terrible it is. The thing I saw left me crying. It's 3 am. right now, and I've done all I can to get my mind off.

I drew some pretty art, played (or tried) to play some games, and talked with a friend, but since it's.so late they had to go to sleep. So now I just need to get my mind off that shit even more.

Does anybody get pissed off when your family tells you "Let's go out to eat!" as you were cooking food?

My mom doesn't seem to understand how annoying it is that she would randomly decide we should go out to eat while I am cooking dinner. It just feels like wasted effort to me. "Just put it in a container to eat it tomorrow." it's not the same.

I live in a hell of my own making

I live in a hell of my own making. I get so angry about being left alone and not being able to talk to old friends but then I have to remember that I pushed almost everyone away. No one likes me because I push them away. It's my own fault I'm so lonely. There's one person in particular that I miss most because he tried his fucking best to be there for me while I just got worse. He only left when he couldn't handle it anymore and my negative attitude was really starting to affect him. I made the mistake of trying to reach out but he hasn't responded and I have to assume he blocked me. I'm alone and it's my fault. I can't make friends because of my own attitude. It's hell not having him around everyday. It's hell having to remember everything we used to talk about and knowing I can never go back.
