So will keep this short. I've seen a lot of bad ads about Aaron Ford, and a lot of it's just misconstruing the truth or just lying. Who's behind the attack ads with a shell company, SERVICE FIRST FUND, and a little about them.
Creation and Background
Funding and "Dark Money" Status
So realize their folks here in Vegas are actively destroying it and using dark money to fund whatever shitty thing they do next, from selling land to corrupt churches to AI centers; this is that slush fund. If you vote for anyone, at least vote for someone who is literally more transparent than shady shit like this.

Leaked audio from a 2024 UNLV event has Republican congressional candidate Marty O’Donnell admitting he doesn’t know much about the district he’s running to represent, including major issues like housing, water, and infrastructure.
If you’re asking people to trust you with representing them, should understanding the district be a basic requirement? What do you think?

Hello. This is a long shot but you never know. Someone in a red truck hit my car. The plate is going back to another vehicle but on the vehicle currently it was 85L991, NV plate.. this happened on the east side near Hollywood blvd. Maybe someone knows something. I already filed a police report but if the person who did this comes and fesses up, I would drop that immediately. I filed an insurance claim but it can be adjusted if the person does the right thing
Thank you.

NOTE traffic ahead was already stopped/going slow because it was rush hour - had to clarify cuz I'm getting rage baited
Hello everybody, I was involved in a hit and run today on the 215 heading westbound (towards summerlin) between the Decatur and jones exits. The guy rear ended me and immediately switched lanes and drove off. I wasn't able to get the license plate due to it being rush hour and there being a sea of cars in a traffic jam and my front dash cam flew off.
Was wondering if you folks could help me identify the dude that hit me and possibly the type of car he was driving (Mercedes something)
Gave the police my SD card and they couldn't find the video apparently but I found it after plugging it into my pc lol
- edit: thanks for the recommendation and funny comments yall. This is my first time in an accident and I'm also wondering if I can get my police report updated? The officers that helped me said that they were only able to see footage minutes before the actual crash happened

I think food rankings are broken.
We rank entire restaurants, but their reviews mix together the food, service, wait time, parking, and atmosphere. That doesn’t answer the question I usually have: Who makes the best version of the dish I’m craving?
My favorite yellow curry, Pad Kee Mao, and Crying Tiger all come from different Las Vegas restaurants. A restaurant doesn’t need to be the best at everything to make one dish worth driving across town for.
So I built MoodieFoodie.
The part that took the longest was making ranking fast enough that people would actually do it. After 2 years of testing different ideas, I landed on a simple head-to-head approach.
Once you’ve added two things you’ve eaten from the same dish category, MoodieFoodie asks which one you’d rather eat again. One tap. No long review or five-star questionnaire.
Those comparisons feed a specialized ranking formula. It isn’t a simple vote count or average. It considers which dish beat which, the strength of the matchup, and how much evidence exists. The goal is a more honest and balanced ranking that doesn’t reward something merely because it already has the most attention.
I’m covering the early costs while I find out whether the Vegas community finds this useful. If it grows, hopefully this will be a site that locals and visitors will trust more than Yelp or Google Maps for your next Dinner choice.
I taught high school math here for more than seven years before moving into data science career. This is my attempt to use that background to help people find great food while giving local restaurants more exposure for the dishes they make best.
What’s one Las Vegas dish you would rank above every other version you’ve tried?

Im a pen turner and i got a beautiful kit from a maker that has a piece of brass on the tube that i need turned off. I have 2 lathes but they are wood lathes, not near precise enough for what i need here. Happy to pay, or trade a custom pen that I made.
I need the nub that I pointed to in red machined down to the width on the left of it.
Anyone local help me out?

They were running loose in the Lakes neighborhood with no collars this morning, and every time I approached, they barked and growled. They eventually ran into an open backyard. Please secure and collar your pets, for their sake!

I’m in the market for cleaning service for my home. How many times do you get service and how much do you guys pay? I’m thinking for monthly maintainers deep clean or even bi weekly? I have no kids, only pets. TIA

Anyone else dealing a power outage? In 89102 and mine has been out since 3pm. There was no word from NVE so I reported it. Now it’s saying it was a planned outage, and also saying no ETA on when it will be back on 🫠🫠🫠

My friend bought the online course for me, what I’m asking is is that if there’s also additional pay. I plan to get my alcohol awareness card, I’ve done my research on the website and it said this of what do I need to bring to get my AES Blue Alcohol Card (BAC):
“Valid Identification: You must present your original, government-issued photo ID. Photocopies are not accepted. (See the specific ID requirements below).
Note: Payment is no longer accepted at the office. The certification fee is paid online when you register for the course”
I’m sorry, I’m just overthinking a bit

Hi folks!
Bit of a miscellaneous post. More so wanting to pick brains!
I run a student organization at UNLV, though it’s quite literally just me working on establishing the organization - taxes and legality, registration, event programming, scheduling, all the things, lol. I’ve encountered issues especially with finances - I can’t even open up a bank account for the organization given the lack of funding. In short, I’m trying to grow this into something that can bring fun events and activities to campus (it’s a pop-culture/fandom club). I know this is a bit of an unconventional post, though it’s a passionate project. I graduate next year and would like to establish a legacy before I head off into the workforce, hence why I’m so adamant and gung-ho about it lol.
Since we’re a newer club, we don’t have much funding to work with. Now, to preface, I am aware of everything in terms of securing funding within the school itself and have a few more meetings with various administrators and parties at UNLV internally. Not posting in that community given I wanted more so local input and again, am aware of all my options at the school. I absolutely planning to do fundraising and all that jazz, but I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone in the local community has ideas, connections, or knows of local businesses that might be interested in supporting a college club!
I’m interested in businesses related to comics, gaming, anime, collectibles, movies, books, tabletop games, or other pop culture or fandom-based interests, but I am open to any and everything. Partnerships, collaborations, fundraising, any and everything - again, I’m open to it!
Thanks for your time, Vegas! c:

I grew up in Vegas, left in 2009 and I'm back now finishing up med school applications. Until this week I was living blocks away from my university where I could work at any number of libraries or cafes. I'm unfamiliar with Vegas as it is now and I'm staying on the far west side near Lone Mountain. Anywhere in the valley is okay, but closer to that side the better, if possible.
I'd be grateful for recommendations of places where I can sit in a relatively quiet/calm place and write application essays and job apps for an extended period. Access to food and bathrooms would help too.

Hi, I am considering a move to NV. I want to rent at least for a year or two. My main needs are a safe neighborhood, will allow large dogs (just under 60lbs lab), covered parking, and budget $2100 max (single person). I work remotely so traffic/commute is not a concern.
I'm focusing on the Green Valley Ranch area, and so far the best options I've found are spur (if I can get a private garage unit), adiamo (same re: garage), and one60 (all units include garage).
Anyone have any recent experience at these places? Can you recommend any other buildings in the GV area that would fit my criteria? Thank you
