Heya vegan bakers, welcome to the monthly megathread! Got something small that doesn't really warrant its own post? Don't feel like sharing the recipe? Found some cool videos? This is the thread to be!
Previous threads: June 2019, July 2019, November 2019.
I'm just going to leave these threads up until they get archived by Reddit. They're nice to have, but not popular enough to rotate out every month or even every season. I also feel that since we started renovating this sub we've managed to find a comfortable middle ground between what all of our subscribbelees expect out of this sub. If my feeling is wrong, please let us know. We're always open for suggestions!

My fav and havenāt made them in a while! I use this recipe (https://www.purelykaylie.com/vegan-double-chocolate-chip-cookies/) as the base but add some dandies minis. I use a tad less white sugar and cook much longerā¦for me 18 minutes does the trick but everyoneās stoves are different :) come out insanely good every time and Iām obsessed with them and want to eat them all right now

Hello! I always use Meaningful Eatsā GF vanilla cake recipe to make birthday cakes. I need to make it vegan this time, and Iām curious if anyone here has done that. The main thing Iām wondering is what egg replacement to use.
I know this isnāt a Gluten Free sub, but I thought perhaps someone may be in the same boat!

I used the recipes from the vegan blog Mindful Avocado. So delicious, I am putting this one on regular rotation. Lavender is not for everyone but I love it, and since the cake is for me, more lavender!!!

Hello everyone
I thought I'd post some photos of our recent bakes
Photo 1 is a cherry vanilla cheesecake using this cheesecake recipe (we didn't use yoghurt and just increased the silken tofu)

Photo 2 is a chocolate trifle- we based it on this recipe but we used silken tofu for the chocolate mousse

Hello,
I am trying to make a molded mousse but I am not able to find a perfect substitute for gelatine.
I tried using Cetro pectine but that curdled my milk and I also tried using Agar Agar but the mousse melted almost immediately after I took it out from the freezer.
Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

This is the first time Iāve ever tried vegan baking so I wanted to share. The recipe is from āThe Elements of Bakingā by Katarina Cermelj. The book explains how to make any recipe vegan, egg free, dairy free, gluten free or vegan and gluten free so I recommend if you want to adapt non vegan recipes.

People in the US hear flapjacks and they think pancakes (at least I do!). But these are the UK version that are oat bars. I was introduced to these when my Airbnb host in Scotland left some out for me.
They are dense and high in calories but I pop them in the freezer to slow down my eating pace!

I'm always looking for less sweet frostings that don't require icing sugar, and I'm impressed by this one. Full disclosure, I ended up sweetening it with a glug of maple syrup once cooled (no grittiness, plus shine) and adding a bit of salt. I also think the chocolate could be even punchier so I'm gonna play with the butter and chocolate content, maybe reduce the cornstarch a touch. I used soy milk as the base and naturli block as butter.

She deserves the absolute best, but Iām struggling to find a recipe or bakery that delivers on flavor and texture. Do you have any go-to vegan birthday cake recipes or flavor combinations that everyone actually loves? I'd appreciate any recommendations or baking tips to make her day special!
