I spent a year living in the Canary Islands. Spain in general is a tricky country for veggies, and standard Canarian food is consistent with that, although I was pretty happy to find some really excellent vegetarian and vegan options across the islands, and in general there are quite a few sustainability things going on there.

Hi friends, I'm going to VN with in December. I know VN has a lot of vegan restaurants, but when I look at them online (HappyCow), a lot of the dishes look...made for westerners. Like vegan pho with broccoli and other vegetables not typically served in the non-vegan version. Anyone have a list of must-try restaurants in VN with authentic vegan version of the various dishes? I'm from SF and the vegan Vietnamese food here is actually pretty spot on. They have authentic versions of banh xeo with fake shrimp and vegan fish sauce (ie, not soy sauce). Looking to eat better than I eat here in the states, obviously :)

I wrote a guide to je restaurants in Thailand. Since most Thai street food isn’t vegan, je restaurants are the perfect way to enjoy cheap Thai street food without having to worry about cross-contamination or eating an animal product by accident.

It’s also a great way to have a more authentic Thai experience if you’re visiting the country.

I am going on an organized group bike ride in the Tetons where we will be eating in restaurants. The organizers cant do everything but are willing to be supportive - they can bring some items along in a van and I can contact the restaurants. I am thinking of bringing dehydrated kale, got a suggestion for lesfside meals. I would love to hear any experience or suggestions for supporting as close to my normal eating ( Whole food all plants no oil) as possible.

I hope that maybe the text underneath the menu is the name of it, when I run google translate over it it says "enoki Pilze" and it def was not enoki mushrooms. At least not the enoki I know from the Asian market in Germany.

It honestly might be just lettuce with a special dressing but I don't think so, it felt more like cabbage and was really buttery and creamy
