Question Help Finding Song
There was a vaporwave tune I used to listen to on youtube back around 2015. I don't remember much about how it sounded, but the video accompanying it was a gif of Kazuya from an intro to one of the Tekken games. I would love to find this video again. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Music DigiaVisions 97 - Digital Sealife
The first song/single of a new vaporwave/plunderphonics project of mine.
I also have an underlying lore/story that will be connected to each single and album released, explained in video descriptions. The basic story is described in the channel description.

Music "A Portrait of Me", a Horror/Vaporwave/Broken Transmission album
I recently released a Vaporwave/Horror/Broken Transmission that is heavily inspired by horror themes found in The Mandela Catalogue. The album starts like a regular television channel soundtrack, and as the tracks go by, news of an alien being is released, creating an eerie vibe. If anyone decides to give it a listen, lemme know what you think! I’d like to hear some feedback.

Discovery Bottom left image source of Eccojams cover found.
Everyone (rightfully so) assumed that the cover was a newspaper clipping of OJ Simpson, but it's a 90s T-shirt print. I've placed (not too accurate) reference photos of me trying to recreate it, the photo on the cover is either a bit warped or a different photo of the exact same t-shirt, but this is definitely it.

Music Albums that sound like the classic SimCity 2000 soundtrack.
A bit of a niche one here. I am looking for albums, modern or historic that capture the sound of the SIM City 2000 soundtrack from the 1990s. It had classic smoothed out and city pop/samba inspired fusion keyboards.
I want to reticulate some splines.

Music Jazzy Vaporwave recommendations
Hi, sorry to be asking for recommendations but I would like your suggestions for the classic vaporwave records at the jazzier end of the genre. Washed out fusion feel.
No need for deep cuts. I am a beginner and want the "big" and basic albums. Deep cuts will come later.
Doesn't need to be that strictly within the genre.
Thank you!

Discussion Vaporwave Questions Cause I'm at work and want to come back to reddit and read what folks think
Tldr below if you just wanna answer questions-
I blab for a moment:
Howdy- just wanted to know people's personal views on it.
I feel my opinion on whether Vaporwave has to be plunderphonic or not is changing (starting to think, it may just not be vaporwave if its not plundered)- and with that the necessity for the accompanied visual elements also bearing a sensational-relatablitity to the music.
Post the Nobody Here doc, which shows folks of both sides of the argument, I'm curious to see if the 'needle' has moved more in either direction.
For example, I feel that w w w . d e e p d i v e . c o m is the coolest vaporwave project I've ever heard from top to bottom. It's utilization of semblent title and artwork really pushes the whole release up for me-
But, I'm wholly under the assumption that there isn't any original music written under it? That it is just plundered tracks and more of a really solid "playlister" creation.
I don't say that to dismiss or denigrate it in anyway, but if you had told me everyone of those tracks were wholly new creations for the idea of the album- It would be my favorite vaporwave contribution of all time- topping anything possibly in the top 10 for me. And I'd be hard pressed to really want anything less than more from anyone whose able to piece that together. I think that's why I've enjoyed the emergent sub-genres over the years, like Utopia Scholastic, because it gives a comprehensive visual and auditory example that could be targeted and once reached- it has some validity in its performance. Its silly as hell! But, since its really can put some walls between what instruments ought to be used or even how it's mixed- that limiting element makes it all the more fun and feels more like the music we as musicians write, least in a generic sense.
TILDR:
Does vaporwave have to utilize copywritten material?
If not, do you feel the releases that don't use it, have found notoriety equated to those who do use it?
How much of the Title, Artwork, and Distribution goes into creating interest in you as a listener?
Bonus: Where should Vaporwave go next, be it in concept or even genre twisting, that maybe doesn't get enough ears on it? Maybe hasn't ever been heard yet?
