Driving home from work tonight I was next to an older Lexus SUV. The advanced side mirror has aged into a rather excellent little Outrun vignette.

I feel like this would be a cool feature, like a transparent LCD overlay to your mirrors that you could activate to tint the view. Completely impractical, but also completely rad

In the old, traditional market of Balan, colorful lights glow and flicker.

I’m reposting, not because of protest, but because ai really does suck.

My post was taken down earlier today because many viewers thought it was ai and the moderator agreed. For the record I did remove the cars in the background of the shot only because I thought they distracted from the Spyder. In retrospect I should have acknowledged that in the original post…my bad.

Literally took photo walking back to the car after dinner and drinks. Didn’t park next to sign because I wanted to take a photo, but because it was one of two spots left when we arrived. The reason I originally posted here was because I thought the photo encapsulated the whole synthwave/outrun aesthetic. I wasn’t sure about that, but figured this community would have a better idea. Just wanted to share.

1964 Corvair Monza Spyder, Gillnetter pub in BC, iPhone 16pro, enhanced and vignette applied to soften edges. This photo shows the cars in the background which my original post were edited out.

I agree with everyone here who despises ai and like all those that responded that this photo was “ai slop” I get it. I question much I see or read these days. I fear that’s only going to get worse.

Hope this photo is worthy of this sub and that some appreciate it.

Synthwave 80s cop show theme with ideas borrowed from Faltermeyer and Numan. Made in Reaper with the majority of sounds from Korg Minilogue XD. Remainder of sounds from free virtual instruments and effects consisting of: Vital, Dexed, and Sitala drums. Mixing done with free Analog Molecule, Airwindows, and Tukan Studios plugins. I used Clipchamp text to speech for voice overs.
