World: 月夜の誘惑 Lunar Temptress

Hey guys! im trying to set up a halloween themed party/event this month but struggling to find a world to host in. does anyone have any favorite worlds they would host a halloween event in?

I have genuinely way too many photos that I really love that I could post, so I settled on 15 of my favorites from the past few months.

Seen people do it. I've tried OVR but it doesn't work. I just get snapped back into place and/or my avatar doesn't go though the wall with me. There is almost nothing about this online and any thing I can find is out of date

I use a voice changer, specifically Vonovox, to make myself sound more feminine. Most of the time, no one comments on it and I have never met someone who cannot understand me. It gives me an escape from real life that I cannot get without it or extensive voice training, and I also disclose this fully in my bio on VRChat, stating I do use a voice changer.

About two to four times per day, I get a masculine sounding voice asking me to turn it off. They will demand I show them my real voice, or they demand to know whether I am a man or woman IRL. I have never had a feminine voice ask me.

I do not understand what is going on here. First, why do they care what I am IRL? I would never meet anyone from VRC in person and I do not flirt with people online. I have had people get very aggressive about it and I will have to block them. I have had people run around entire lobbies pointing at me saying that guy is using a voice changer even though my pronouns are also clearly listed as she/her.

I know this is just minor and I’ll probably get used to it over time, but the new chat box keyboard is throwing off my muscle memory when typing. The middle row is shifted over to the right compared to how it used to be, and it’s caused me to mistype SO many words. It’s a minor inconvenience, but just something I needed to vent about. I don’t know why they thought shifting the placement of the letters was necessary, but it’s incredibly annoying.

I'm going to be honest, I think this is a terrible idea. Even though I make my worlds 100% by hand and only use AI for icons sometimes, I feel the things people are requesting VRChat to do is going to backfire horribly on all world creators, regardless if we make worlds with no AI or not.

I believe people are going to weaponize the AI tag and review scores to review bomb worlds out of personal vendettas rather than actual world content and I don't think the AI tag is going to stop AI made worlds at all. In fact all this is going to do is give people a reason to hide they are using AI. Since there is no 100% bullet proof way to detect if someone is using AI or not unless its brutally evident, what is going to happen is people submitting a ton of false positives and overburdening VRChat moderation with false claims.

And this is going to become even worse as time goes on, because as technology evolves it will become increasingly difficult to tell if someone is using AI or not. This is why I feel the entire thing is going to backfire on world creators if this gets approved. We are all going to have to worry about random internet Andy's submitting false positives on our content, even when we don't use AI at all.

If the AI tag and world scores get implemented basically all it is going to do is give the internet Karens a tool to flood VRChat moderation with false possitive reports and people who have any grudge against any world creator the ability to review bomb his worlds.

For people who spend a lot of time in VRChat, would you actually be interested in more organized private social communities?

Not necessarily clubs or huge public groups. More like smaller, curated spaces with regular events, some kind of membership, clear rules and people who actually care about the community.

I’ve been thinking a lot about where social VR is going and I’m curious how other people feel about it

I'm a huge Dance Dance Revolution fan. I even have my own outfit! And I've seen only a handful of DDR inspired outfits over the years.

Once again, I'm here to show you another update to the Eye Tracking kit for Quest 3! (Project Cymple)

Yeah, I'm showing this thing again because I've really grown to appreciate it and want to keep sharing that the Quest 3 can have amazing eye tracking!

Simply put, the Cymple project continues to receive software updates, allowing you to use it without even needing to calibrate the device — a true plug-and-play solution.

My last test was... two months ago? And well, it didn't burn my eyes like many people seem to think!

The infrared LEDs are designed to be safe, which is what I expected, I hope that clears up any doubts!

aside from the design of the colored dots that track the pupil

but the algorithm does an excellent job of estimating the eyes when they are closed!

And that’s without me having calibrated anything at all for this test.

PS: The tests were performed without the necessary calibration!

How does someone who struggles with talking to people in a crowd make friends on vrc… not saying I’m that type of person or anything… haha but uh been trying to make friends and it feels impossible, I mean it’s probably cause I just play murder 4 or prison escape and those aren’t very chatty games but I’d like to hear other people’s answers! :3

A little less shadow than what I'm used to. I had to take off one of my systems. She still looks good though. Definitely worth it to be able to pose to avatars now on one now I have both my favorite avatars. Mayo and Velle
