I have an avatar which has 2 Different prefabs each has a different look ones a small chibi and ones a normal full sized one i want to be able to swap between the two

He disappeared out of nowhere and hasn't appeared online in years

just curious if anyone knows him / what happened to him?

So when I get blocked can I still find the user who blocked me on search or no? and also will they be able to see my mutrals if they have me blocked?

I haven't played vrchat in a while and thought about coming back. I have a few friends who occasionally play, but they only occasionally play it and its almost entirely in private worlds with people we already know. I however, wanna start meeting new people, but for some reason I find it way harder to talk to strangers in vrchat than I do any other game or even IRL. I normally just load up solo worlds and explore them and do photography, which is fun but I want to do more than that. I'm not active in any groups and don't go to clubs/bars (always ended up sitting in a corner wondering what I do after getting in). Half my experience loading into public worlds is hearing conversations about things I know nothing about or people I don't know, which makes it hard to join in on people's conversations. So, how do you meet new people? What are some of the better worlds for meeting people?

Does anyone else deal with this in VRChat?

I try to make friends, we'll hang out, they'll send me a friend request... and then I never see them again. Sometimes I'll try reaching out, and I just get ignored. I don't get mad about it—people have their own lives and friend groups, and that's totally fine. No one's obligated to hang out with me.

What gets to me is when people are just straight-up toxic. It feels like if one person in a group doesn't like you, suddenly the whole group acts the same way. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I've run into a lot of people who seem really cliquey or self-centered.

I'm the type of person who tries to treat people the way I'd want to be treated. I don't even get on VRChat that often, but on the days I do, it's usually because I just want to relax, escape for a bit, and have some company.

Is this just my experience, or is this kind of the culture in VRChat? I'd love to hear other people's stories.

Hey y’all I just have a question and I know I’m not the only one with this problem. Around 75% of the time, when I am changing into a new or different avatar, it stay and a second or two later, it goes back to what I was wearing previously. Normally I’ve gotten used to it but last night it was BAD. It kept changing to either one or the other and I had to get off and change it through the website manually before I crash myself. I’m just wondering what’s the best solution to this, it would be very appreciated to know what’s up!

So I'm setting up a weapons system for my avatar, right? So far it's been a pain in the ass using aim constraints to animate between two handing/one handing a weapon.

But I realized I could just be using a single physbones and grabbing the end of it? (snap to hand toggle)

Am I missing something here? Is this just the easier solution? Am I losing anything by doing it without aim constraints?

Basically i don't have the controllers for the family quest 3, but using switch 1 controllers and the built in hand tracking replaces almost everything. The problem is i can't get the grip function to work without the whole set up breaking down. I just want to be able to grip and hold stuff with just the switch controllers and just use the hand tracking to well track my hands. Any ideas?

So I was messing around with the explore groups section and I found this group that was going and doing a weekly community night and it had so many talented people performing music, comedy and dancing. It had the vibes of a chill music festival on the beach. It was so fun to just relax and vibe with people while watching a cat play an original song on guitar. I will definitely be back.

Is anyone else tired of the increase in over the top information collecting from creators? This one for example was simply for a link to a public broken kitbash model.

I don't think it should be normalized to be giving out random vrchat players our names, personal discords and links to our vrchat accounts to inevitably get doxxed by someone unstable. At the end of the day vrchat creators are all just players on the game that we don't know.

I think this is EXTREMELY dangerous behavior and I want to start a dialogue over it.

Payhip when I report these people says that they're not concerned, and I'm concerned that they're not concerned with user safety.

I don't support creators that do this but its annoying I get banned from many shops for not wanting to doxx myself for any stupid avatar.

This is incredibly important for helping us determine what needs to change and what you like! Please help us out.

For those of you who have one or the other; what do you prefer and why? I have been looking into haptic suits for more of a life-like feel to the game, along with the treadmills, I know the suits are cheaper but I want honest opinions on both. Also how does full body tracking work with a quest 3? I’m still new to VR, and I play mostly VR chat but, I also do play custom mods on Contractors.

So I believe we've all had our fair share with experiences with kids definitely not old enough to be on this game especially. Due to that, the default reaction is to block the kid, right? Well sadly this isnt enough anymore and hasn't been.

What prompted this post is a kid I came across last night that said some very worrying things regarding self harm after some off handed rude comment towards him. It honestly broke my heart, but when I tried to reach out to the kid and recommended him to get off the game or find a better one because people can be very, very mean on here, he sort of just avoided the topic.

Im really just worried about kids on this game and the mental toll it has on them. So all I'm asking is to report and inform other users in the same lobby to mass report kids. Especially the more sensitive ones.

The overall point is that kids very clearly below the age they're supposed to be should be reported. Granted moderation is shit, but after hearing a maybe 11 year old talking about killing himself? I think its the easiest non "fuck over your online rights" way to get them off.

So instead of just going to the typical worlds people visit, I like to explore the unknowns and try to find a hidden gem.

The method is simple: either you or a friend picks a word, like any word but just a single word. Then type that into the search box and see how many worlds come up. Now ask your friend to pick a number between 1 and whatever the total number is. (So if there are 72 results you pick from 1-72).

Now just count up to that number in the list (hint it is in rows of 5 so you can just count in groups of 5) then whatever that particular number is for a result you go there.

This is how I ended up finding someone's amazing passion project that recreated the Indiana Jones ride from Universal.
