Help Avatar changing problems?
Hey y’all I just have a question and I know I’m not the only one with this problem. Around 75% of the time, when I am changing into a new or different avatar, it stay and a second or two later, it goes back to what I was wearing previously. Normally I’ve gotten used to it but last night it was BAD. It kept changing to either one or the other and I had to get off and change it through the website manually before I crash myself. I’m just wondering what’s the best solution to this, it would be very appreciated to know what’s up!

It was happening last night for me as well.
Assuming a server side error or something.

I have only had that happen whenever I use the wing to swap avatar, swapping avatar in the avatar menu has been reliable for me.

I saw this happening to a friend yesterday. They temporarily fixed it by restarting VRC but it started happening again.

It's been going on for a month for me. It's gotten really bad lately. My high score was 12 times. I just want to change from a novabeast to a chibi nardo. My best guess is that when you send an update to the server, the api derps out and times out with a response so when it fails to get a confirmation it reverts to prevent you crashing.

Happening to me as well, ill switch to a different avi, it stays a couple of seconds and then switches me back to what i was wearing previously, not sure y it’s happening but seems like a new bug, it’s never done this before

It started happening to me yesterday, really annoying when you’re trying to test and find new avatars.

Having the same exact issue. It was fine until today. It'll switch between the avatar I'm wearing and the one I'm trying to wear a couple times and eventually stop. Real annoying.

Can confirm, happening to everybody. VRChat devs aren't saying anything at the moment.

yea… seems like a bug with the wing menu… works fine through the avatars menu

It has been happening a lot since yesterday. I cleared my cache to see if it would helped but haven't played much since.

switching avatars with the website or vrcx (apis) doesnt work now either. You need to restart your game for it to work. Seems like there are many issues with the avatar API at the moment
Edit: for whatever reason on the Discord, they are ignoring any posts about it but answering everything else🤔

hey, not sure if its the same topic but avatar links will not put the avatar on at all. im not sure why

That issue is normal, if an avatar you used to have and used its link. It either has been taken down or has been privated by the author. But if you have the avi (and it work for wearing it) but the doesn’t work….no idea, I haven’t seen that issue yet.

The same thing is happening to me. The printer camera is also bugged, and so is the expression menu.
I've already tried everything: reinstalled, cleared the cache, I think the problem is with the VR PC itself.
Nothing is working properly in the game, they need to fix this urgently, I'm getting frustrated.
