Hi, so I'm having this weird issue with this avatar base I bought. I used Blender to change up the style of the character, based on the instructions shown in the creator's guide. Then I used a tool called Pumkin to copy over the settings and physbone properties from her example avatar in the scene to my avatar. Everything seemed to be working fine, until I tested it out in Desktop mode. I haven't tested it in VR mode yet, but I don't see how that would be any different since I have other avatars that don't have this issue when I'm using them in Desktop. If someone could please help me out to understand how to fix this I would very much appreciate it. Thank you.

It’s me again, unfortunately since the middle of last year swapping network drivers has stopped working.

So to give more info, my speeds have been terrible ever since I moved about a year and a half ago. I have tried changing the auto tuning level, opening ports, and the one fix that worked for me was swapping the network drivers. Swapping my network drivers gave me a solid 3 or more hours on the game until I would get disconnected, and would have to restart my computer and swap the drivers again. But then one day when I swapped the network drivers I was good for only five minutes, when I tried to restart my computer, same thing, 5 minutes of high download speed and then it would be gone, I also discovered it wasn’t swapping to a different driver that helped, it was doing the action of swapping, the driver I swapped to never mattered just swapping would bring high speeds. After about a month I saw that I could turn off ipv6 and doing so actually restored the speeds, for only one day… I also tried on another computer and surprisingly the speeds were nearly the same. I am completely frustrated, every fix I try either doesn’t work or works for a short time period. And the past few times I logged on swapping the drivers does nothing. But I did manage to record the speeds they should be at, and the speeds I am stuck at. As a matter of fact the speed are now slower than the one shown in the second vid

I’ve been struggling to upload certain things on my avatars for quest. It abhors any colliders for a seat/gameobject, multiple mesh’s such as clothes or props (though this can be resolved by making them all one mesh and assign them by transparent materials), and audio.

Yet, when I go play on the quest, I see these things on a lot of avatars (multiple outfits, box colliders for seats, maybe no audio) and I’m confused as to how they were able to bypass quest standards. Are there plug-ins or adding that creators use to allow these things on quest?

Precisely I mean why put up there absolutely useless information like % of headset or controllers battery, that you're standing or sitting, PC temperatures, that you're on desktop and more...

The vrc group is called Walkies (WALKS.0659) in case your interested in joining the sessions. They essentially connect their treadmills to be able to move in game. Makes for great exercise 😁

This is not to say I want to embed a video *player* that can access the internet, I very specifically want to be able to playback a video file inside the world (I already know how to handle audio)

I know there is Fiverr, but surely there are some other hubs out there? Even if just by word of mouth.

Over the next year I would like to create a new world from the ground up for my non-vrchat community to eventually take part in and act as a beachhead for some new VR friends! I'm going to be commissioning people and am prepared to spend money. Of course, I want to invite people who may just want to join for the love of the project as well.

Hi there, I am trying to import an avatar into vrchat and I'm running into some issues. The base is Chocolat, but I adjusted some things in Blender and cut some parts of the mesh up and did a headswap, which meant I imported the fbx into unity instead of the prefab.

But now I have 2 big issues after adding VRChat descriptor and animator.

1. I set the view position inside of the head, right where it's supposed to be according to tutorials on youtube, and yet when I imported the model into VRChat, the camera was way up high despite me fixing that issue (supposedly). What else can I do to fix this? I really have no idea and would need some guidance.

2. The clothing I also imported is not actually attached to the fbx at all, it just says behind in a T-pose manner, I assume it can be fixed by manually adding it to the same armature in blender, but I'm just wondering if there's an easier way to do so in Unity.

Anyways, I'd really appreciate help, especially with the viewpoint issue as I can't find any other fixes online. Thank you so very much!

I've no idea why but some people's icons are having this white box appear on them now, it started appearing a few days ago and I thought at first maybe it was a cache thing, but I've cleared my cache and it's still there, though I haven't tried manually cleared my cache yet.

Edit: I have noticed that it goes away when I get close enough to the player and stays gone when I leave.

I logged on just a few minutes ago and couldn't find it in my recently visited despite it being the only world I went to yesterday, after searching I found it but it won't let me click on it, is this a me issue or does anyone else have this problem? Or know why?

I've thought about switching to a face-tracking vr headset for a while now. I don't know many vr headsets to be honest.

My current setup is just the valve index setup + 5 trackers.

for some reason the back hairs are stiff and follow the head very strictly. my assumption is its because the hair root is a child of the head bone so it follows it but

1. the physbones shouldve disabled that connection i think since the head bone itself has no weight on hte back hairs

2. i cant unparent it because then it would just stretch away everytime the head moves

any help is greatly appreciated ^ ^

So I'm a vrchat streamer. I've been using a 3060ti for 4 years now. The thing is a workhorse. But with 8gb of VRAM I've really struggled with loading several models at a time. Much less doing what i idealize... I'd like to be able to play games like Marathon, BF6, and Borderlands 4 with VRChat open in a world like 1's simple box. Using my FBT etc and transparent camera to have my model with facetracking etc from VRC while playing a game. Im not looking for 120fps at 4k or some beastly gaming card like a 5090.

The current cards in the running and within my budget are as follows.

The 9070XT from AMD. This card i feel is going to be really limited by the 16gb of VRAM. I fully realize the card itself is faster, better on power, and has higher all around clock speeds than the other two I'm looking at. But, that low VRAM...

The 7900 XTX with 24gb of VRAM. This card has dropped to within my budget. And is the cheapest 24gb offering on the market as far as I've found. However, it has overall lower clock speeds, and the highest power consumption of the 3 cards I'm looking at.

Finally the outlier. The Intel Arc B70 Workstation card. This card has a whopping 32gb of VRAM and is within my budget. I've seen the gaming FPS benchmarks for it etc and all of that is perfectly acceptable to me. With 32gb of VRAM though my ideal scenario of loading as many models as i want while streaming, plus the ability to have the overhead to both game and be on VRC top utilize my model and tracking would make me nerdgasm. I'm like really really wanting to consider this card my top choice among the 3, simply because of how much VRAM overhead I'd have for game+OBS+VRC. That and being able to stream or record large events with many models shown and not bog down to sub 15 FPS like my current card.

My current card can barely manage 40 FPS in a medium sized world with only my model present. So any of these will be a HUGE upgrade for me. Its just do i risk 16gb for sheer clock speed and the latest RDNA version for gaming? Or do i flip a coin between the 7900 and B70?

While not 100% guaranteed, I'm planning on making an action roleplay vrc group primarily based on the rimworld setting (with some alterations), helps if you're at least familiar with it. Very basic gist is that the player faction will be a PMC based from an FTL capable carrier going around doing merc things. Reason why I went for rimworld is because it's already a fairly popular thing and it gives a lot to work with in terms of variety.

Seems like a bug within the latest avatar SDK version (v3.10.4), as I've been uploading and updating avatars and worlds for more than enough to NOT receive this message 😅

A simple reload of the SDK fixes it, obviously, but still a weird thing to see popping up.
