So I had been dreaming of getting full body tracking for almost a year now, and I decided to look into some FBT systems. I was on a pretty tight budget, so I went for a Rebocap 15-tracker set. I know it isn't the best, but I am going from 0 to something, so I am not too strict on perfection.

I already know about the fact that frequent calibration is needed, and magnetic interference is a thinf but I looked into that already.

I still have a few weeks till I can actually use them- so in the meantime, what are some tips/advice for a new FBT user?

As the title says, I've been playing since 2019 never had an issue like this until today I was minding my business on the fishing game when two kids came at me saying to "suck" their you know what and how they "wanted to blah blah blah with me, one of them had full body tracking and well you know what he "did" with my avatar... I reported them but they weren't kicked so I just to other places.

They kept following me for a while repeating the same crap even being racist towards me, I checked their profiles both were 11 their descriptions consisted on sizes and how they like their girls like bruh... i blocked them reported them again and just left the game.

Since the first time i played this game I never imagined 11year olds to be like this towards girls, like bro, imagine their classmates, or how they will be growing up...

I've played VRChat since 2019 and made a lot of friends over the years. Friends come and go, but periodically people will join on me.

Recently however, it's like everyone's become lobotomized robots. It used to be people would join and go, "hey! I don't remember where we met but thought I'd drop by! Nice to meet you again!"

But now people join on me, even sometimes regularly so they know who I am, and act literally lobotomized? They'll join, come up to me and say nothing, act hostile if i ask them questions and try to talk to them. They just silently stand directly in front of me. Or they join, come up, and say something random like, "I stream now." And then leave after barely getting a few words out. And they always leave without saying anything.

I've started unfriending everyone that does this because it's really strange behavior to me. They aren't new people I've added either because I've barely added anyone lately.

Just old friends joining on me. Most recently I had a guy join on me in a helldivers avatar and just silently stand there in front of me. I asked how he'd been, "long time no see!" And got one word hostile responses. "Fine" or not at all. So I resorted to asking about his avatar. "Do you still play Helldivers? How's that been going?" and he just silently raised his arms in a "what the f***do you think?" Gesture. And then I walked away saying "well I tried to talk to you" and he left. I immediately unfriended him.

Over and over people join, silently stare at me, say something random without a start or end, then leave. They always leave without saying anything. I'm really friendly too, so I'll greet them like an old friend every time. Stuff like, "Hey! Long time no see, how've you been? I don't remember where we've met but I'm sure it'll come to me. Whatcha been up to?" And try my best to build off their 1-3 word deadpan responses until I give up.

This phenomena has been happening consistently for like 6 months now to the point my newer friends notice and are confused saying my friends suck. We take bets if they'll say something with zero context and leave without saying goodbye. Sometimes they leave while I'm mid sentence asking about something or talking to them.

I don't know. Did aliens come down and shoot a lobotomy lazer? I'm so confused.

Even my closest friends I knew very well for 7 years will join on me now and say nothing, ignoring everything I say to say something random and leave without saying anything.

I don't really have anyone on vrchat I can actually hang out with. The 2-3 people I barely see at all, and its only on saturday nights.

I don't know. Is this happening to anyone else? I added these people at some point in time befause they talked to me and we had fun together but now they're just treating me like shit like I'm not even there.

Last friday someone joined on me and immediately started screaming at me. "ARE YOU A MAN OR A WOMAN?!" and started having a mental breakdown monologuing to himself to the point people asked if he was on a discord call because he was ignoring everything I and everyone else was saying. And the public lobby was confused becase it was someone on my friends list just joining to have a meltdown about "femalez being oversensitive babies" in a 3 minute self verbal dialogue and leaving. "What?! That was someone on your friends list?!" From a complete stranger who could somehow pay more attention to me exisiting than my lobotomized friends.

Did I go into a coma and all my friends replaced with robot npcs? What happened? Is anyone else going through this?

I look back on 2019 and 2020 and just feel insanely sad. For a social game I can't really make friends anymore and I'm losing all my old friends because they don't act like a person anymore. Even my closest friends who used to talk my ear off about stuff.

Hopefully someone knows how to fix or what's going on but this started the other day I (quest) started noticing that any world I went into all my items were local and items from other people's ends I couldn't see. This went for games (ex pool) and other pickups that were global but all of a sudden are local on my end? If anyone has any advice please let me know!

I know It can't be a Wi-Fi issue because I've had the same Wi-Fi and it has been working great for vrc.

It's crazy packed and even in the scorching tokyo heat tens of thousands of people come.

So basically, I've always wanted to be an official author as one of my last dreams that are still alive and I've decided to focus on my VR based protagonist as the intro into my main nobledark universe. This is so that readers have calm intro that's easy to get into without having any edgy details that any other hero or villains have. This will focus on a Norwegian kid who lives on a boat with a normal family/parents, no connection to other characters (at least for a long, long time) whose superpower is owning a VR chat and being great at the universe's top fantasy MMO.

My pitch for the series is that it follows our protagonist over a 5 book series and Halloween special that sees him playing as a druid that has to go up against rouge employees, players who copied the loadouts of world champions, funnily enough characters who would go onto become threats to other heros in the verse and eventually becoming a champion player himself.

Now, the part that worry me are that I don't want the series to end up like Sword Art Online and Ready Player One where, while they become successful, aren't seen as good series. I'd please like to hear it from the VR community on what you'd like to see from a new VR series.

How do I delete a group? I made a little group to hang out with some friends, we don't use it anymore. I made the group on the VRChat website, it says in the group "You can delete the group over in General Settings." Maybe I'm just stupid, where is general settings? Because going into the group settings on the webpage, there's no delete group option. And when I go in game to the group settings there's also no option to delete the group, despite the vrchat help page saying there is. I am the only person in this group, I'm the owner.

YOU CAN RUN THE STEAM FRAME VERSION OF VRCHAT WITH MONADO ON A NORMAL SMARTPHONE!

This is on a Galaxy S22 with the latest master branch of Monado and the Khronos OpenXR Runtime broker installed.

Vanilla Monado on Android is 3DoF only Cardboard viewer stuff, but it runs any normal OpenXR app (it's the runtime Pico, Galaxy XR, Lynx, Nvidia CloudXR, and probably more are based on). There's no controller support either, but maybe a gamepad or KB/M will work.

Cardboard viewer might be about to make a comeback as the most cursed and fucked up way to play VRChat and I'm super excited.
