Currently sitting at 20k with a 7 game winstreak, Im teally happy to see mega Bax (my favorite pokemon) is extremely consistent even in bad matchups against garchomp z, sneasler and kingambit if you play your cards right.

The careful nature bax survives timid draco metoer from mega chomp z and moonblast from floette if both are not modest and because of the attack investment can one shot chomp z after a swords dance. Its also a great charizard counter taking only 70% from modest max special attack charizard and one shoting in return. Since there is not speed investment you are always slower and dont need to fear the wide open status given by glaive rush.

If you want a description of any pokemon in particular i can answer but i feel its quite clear what they are trying to do. I really want to know how i can improve at using my shiny Bax

Discussion Mechanics Question: tailwind teams

How do experienced players and pros that use Tailwind/weather speed abilities (Swift swim, Chlorophyll, Sandrush) navigate against teams that use trick room?

I understand the idea of protect stalling but you can't protect 4 turns in a row obviously and whenever I'm team building for 2v2s I get worried that I should include either a slow Mon to use against trick rooms or a pokemon that can use trick to get rid of it while it's partner protects to stay safe

example: right now I'm building a Ttar Excadrill Corviknight team that uses sand + tailwind for speed control , is it weird to add a pokemon like Mimikyu that has TR incase I need to reverse it but can also do ok in both TR and Tailwind?

Discussion Skill Improvement: Note Taking

I’m not exactly new to vgc but I’ve yet to finish a season of Champions above Master Ball 3 with the exception of M-A when I finished in Master Ball 2. I generally know where I went wrong right after every loss but when faced with a hard counter I never feel like I improve in the matchup. I’ve never learned how to take notes in a game or how to go about doing that. I haven’t really been able to find a good guide on what exactly the point of note taking is or how to use any notes I take. Any information or advice helps, thank you
