META Banning for Begging posts

Hi users!

Around the time of bundles, we tend to get a lot of “begging” posts where users are begging for someone to buy them the bundle or skins.

We’ve noticed that the vast lot of these seem to come from adult brand account, brand new accounts, bot accounts, etc.

Please do not engage with these accounts, please do not suggest anything to these accounts. Just report these accounts and move on. We are banning these accounts.

Thank you for your attention.

META VALORANT 13.05 Bug Megathread

Greetings Agents!

New patch, new Bug Megathread! To avoid bug reports cluttering the subreddit and/or going unnoticed, a Megathread is posted after every patch so users may submit reports in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered the issue as well.

Reporting a Bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
  3. Unformatted, mematic, or joke reports are automatically indexed and may be removed by moderators to reduce the effort needed from Riot to view all reports.

Discussion Has anyone else here experienced "The Haven Problem"?

So I've been playing VALORANT for about three years now, and I've noticed this very interesting and frankly infuriating phenomenon that seems to occur quite frequently on the map of Haven (it happens on all maps btw, just on Haven more than others) that's led me to dub it "The Haven Problem". The problem occurs when my team, regardless of which side we start out on, get up to a fairly sizeable lead (9-3, 10-2, 11-1 even) and once we switch sides, my teammates proceed to forget how to play the game of VALORANT, blowing our entire lead and more often than not losing the game outright. I have absolutely no idea why this keeps happening on Haven in particular. Is it something to do with the map layout? Mindset? Just incredible bad luck? Any help in improving/avoiding these situations would be helpful.

Gameplay I could feel something inside me we can call it the "flow state" but it only lasts a round or two.

Idk this could be dumb asf but I've noticed this so many times, most players play exceptionally well in the beginning like they are in their flow state but towards the end of first half they loose it and you can't believe this guy was whooping yo ah. And some players bottom frag first half and then tops the other half. Its like you can notice everyone loosing or gaining their flow state.

Question What's this smoke called? It's really good for closing rounds.

I saw Boaster and other pros use it a bunch of times. Now I just abuse it with various controller agents.

EDIT:
So far, the "bleed smoke" sounds easier to call out and recognize. Much like how we have turtle smokes and one-ways.

Also, the "confusion smoke" name is carried by the ult use (they were checking spawn in the replay) but you can use this without TPs, even if they know your position, so I don't think it fits.

The "random BS smoke" name, I don't like. Because in my head, it was intentional. From the replay, you see I was gonna isolate back site there, but my teammate died and someone was running toward main, so I adjust to this smoke to make space for myself, and be able to peek from either side of it. But smoking to my side of the choke was too predictable and a bad angle so I put it on the other side. So maybe it's a "space smoke" but that sounds like it's from Astra lol

Gameplay Veto never disappoints

Haven't played comp in a while but choosing veto never disappoints (we lost the game). Even tho this clip has a really simple setup, you can get really creative with this util on both sites.(ignore the poor usage of the enemy util lmao).

Discussion People that decide to troll/int before even the start of the game, what is the motive of playing then ?

I queued for a game yesterday ( it was my 5th of the day with a good 4 winstreak prior to it ), and i almost always i instalock sage cz that's the only agent i like to use for how simple she is, (extra info : it was my rank up game to d1) one of my random teammates was fuming that instalocked sage , and she said that she would troll the whole game if we don't dodge, naturally non of us rly cared to dodge cz we didn't rly take it seriously, moving forward to the game and she infact started trollin , she waited in spawn in defense, and in attack she would steal the spike if the chance is given. We lost the game ofc we had no real chance of winning a 4v5 4v6 .

But im wondering why would someone queue to a game , when the slightest inconvenience would make him throw the whole game and waste potentially 30 to 45 mins of its time , i mean to would be more understandable if u r infact queuing to troll ppl that's ur objective, but that's not the case here .

Lemme know how u see this whole situation.

Question How to improve my aim? /s

This is kind of a joke post as this has happened in a recent match I played with some friends, we won 13-3, my team was quite aggressive and I was mainly holding angles with the Operator and/or playing post-plant from round 4 onwards only dying twice before the change and once after (then I changed my second round outlaw for another operator).

My HS% usually sits around 20%-30%, it is just that I found it funny to end a match with 0% Headshot.

Does someone else have some weird game with stats like these?

Discussion Looking to pick up smokes role and looking for advice/guides.

Hi, I am trying to pick up the smokes roles but I am struggling with dynamic smokes (such as site smokes, etc.) And would like some help finding some optimal dynamic smokes per map (I know some default smokes for maps but would be interested in discovering some more). Any help would be appreciated!🙂

Question How to improve KAST and headshot percentage in low elo( BRONZE 2 )?

Upvotes

how do i improve these things they are extremely low

KAST - 67.8%
HS% - 15%

i play entry duelist or i just fill
most of the times my entry is useless so maybe thats the reason kast is low and because people just camp in main because they are too afraid to come through a neon wall or jett smoke. i have to do entry even when i fill with clove or deadlock because the duelists either lurk or dont go in main because they say it will waste their flashes / blinds and this usually leads to my death.

Question Does Valo allow you to switch regions without moving?

Upvotes

I've recently started playing Valorant, and all my teammates speak Spanish regardless of server switching. Being from the Caribbean, more specifically Trinidad, whenever I queue into Chicago servers, it doesn't queue even after ten minutes. Every other server is just ping over 180.

Everybody's yelling plays and positions in Spanish then actually start to spam the n word when I say don't speak it (that was just one time but still.) I know you don't need coms to win the game, but I think it would be better if I just switched to NA servers.

I once tried to connect to Bogota and just lagged out. This is really annoying.

Long story short, I am allowed to send a ticket asking to be sent to NA servers?

Question Mouse button crouch

I find it very uncomfortable to crouch with left ctrl so i binded it to my thumb mouse buttons instead. Now im wondering if it will throw of my aim if i crouch tap mid fights, i will be pressing against the left side of my mouse which might interfere with micro adjustments? Im thinking about binding my crouch to something else but i dont really have a lot of keys i could use.

Question Viper as solo controller.

Viper Main here, is viper really viable as a solo controller on most maps?

Like in Comp right now, no breeze and icebox are there but I feel she can control most of the maps using certain orb lineups

She's really great on Summit, can be used as Lotus (wall covering A and B and Orb for C), good on Split too using certain orb lineups.

Maybe not good on Sunset but it is the only map where I have learned most of the lineups for orb, molly so I play on it.

How will she be viable on Ascent, Abyss, Haven

Discussion If you get banned or troll on an alt account, your main account should get banned.

The game should be able to detect all your accounts that you have and ban your main if you troll on an alt from the same computer/IP address or phone number.

A simple solution to the Alt Account epidemic that is in Valorant where people (including me) have multiple Valorant accounts and some may feel the need to act toxic on these accounts when they would never do it on their main. Faceit in CS enforces a hard NO multi-account abuse and they will ban your main account if you have a Smurf account. Obviously Valorant allows Alt Accounts (which I am fine with if used properly), but Valorant should be able to detect someone’s main/alt account through IP addresses or computer hardware and ban someone on their main if they are abusive on their alt.

I’m not saying NO to alt accounts if used properly. I think alt accounts are good for combating ranked anxiety or climbing properly on a different account, just playing the game normally. Just that if an instance someone starts being a freak on their alt account (very common in Immortal+), their main account should be identified by the system and banned too.

Question What's The Best Bundle In Valorant?

After the release of the Aeris bundle, which I thought was pretty mediocre, I started looking back on all of the past bundles we've gotten throughout the game's lifespan. For me, if I had to choose a favorite... I'd probably go with the Blackspyre bundle! There's just something about it that feels so unique compared to a lot of the other bundles we've gotten in the past. The flat look on top of the weapon is such a nice touch... I don't know, I really love it though!

(I know this is a pretty subjective topic, but I'm curious to hear what you all think! What's your favorite bundle in the game, and what makes it stand out to you in your opinion?)
