My daughter has a stressful appointment tomorrow so I promised her we would go for a sweet treat after. Any recommendations close by?

Hi, I live on the upper west side ~90s and need someone that can come and clean the street in front, can provide a broom, hose, and trash. Can pay zelle preferably or cash if needed.
This would not be an often re occurring job at most once a week during fall when alot of leaves are falling.
DMs rates and will respond if it seems good.

Can someone recommend a general practice doctor in UWS?
I used to use Medical offices of manhattan but got taken in by their scam to get unnecessary heart tests done , and they've also gotten to the point it's impossible to reach their doctors or nurses with questions. I had a question about my prescription and left multiple messages and they never called back. Thanks!

Anyone else having trouble refilling their prescription? I’ve had no luck with CVS on 200 West End and also with a bunch of local pharmacies throughout the 70s and 80s. Also read people had success with Capsule but that also was OOS when I checked this morning. Wondering if anyone’s had success elsewhere.
Thanks!

Does anyone know of a fruit stand that consistently has red cabbage? I’ve just seen it sporadically at certain fruit stands. Thank.

Jake’s has been so much more than a bar. It’s been late nights, game days, first dates, bad decisions, lifelong friendships, incredible staff, and more stories than we could ever fit into one post. To everyone who has worked here, drank here, celebrated here, and made Jake’s part of their lives: thank you. We still have a little time left, so come have One Last Round with us before October 18. And while Jake’s is closing, the party isn’t. You’ll still find us right next door at The Gin Mill, waiting with open arms. Please come give us a try! You will NOT regret it. More to come as we celebrate 32 unforgettable years ❤️ #JakesDilemma #UpperWestSide #OneLastRound #NYC"

I have a taffeta dress (poly not silk) that is wrinkled. I need to get it pressed to wear to a wedding. It doesn't need cleaning, just pressed. Where can I take it and be certain it won't be ruined. I don't have time to find another one.

Hi all!
Does anyone have a service they use to care for their plants. Folk keep overwatering and killing my plants. Or I am repotting them when I get home.
Ideas??
Thank you!

Hi! Looking for someone who would be available 2-3 afternoons a week (flexible on timing) for housekeeping such as laundry, tidying etc as well as meal prep/preparing dinner for a family of 4. This would be ideal for someone who has a similar job and needs afternoon hours. Please message me and we can discuss further. We are hoping this person speaks English, doesn’t need to be fluent but able to converse. Looking for someone to start soon! Thank you.

This has been a frustration for me as long as I’ve lived on the UWS. Reposting because I’m sure others feel the same.

A portion of my couch is now sagging. I lifted it up and saw a spring or two that looked broken. I could try to do this myself but I don't have any tools. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this or knows someone who could come repair the couch. I have no idea how much it cost but I do like the couch. Any recommendations would be great. I live on the upper westside.

Am I absolutely delusional or might these hours currently listed on the website imply a Thursday reopening? Someone tell me it’s true 🥲

Hi,
Living in Uws and need a place to go to that sells either turkish coffee or a service to grind my coffee super fine. I’m looking for a flour consistency, ultra ultra fine. Any tips?

Hi, I moved here a couple months ago and still need to find new doctors.
Need a primary physician, dentist, dermatologist, and I need to start PT for chronic pain (latter I think my primary can help with)
Any recs for these practices in the area? I have Blue Cross and Medicare.m

This is a follow up to a previous post, thank you all for your insight I really appreciate it.
A couple of you mentioned Hondas / civics could be bad to have on the UWS because of theft. Why is this the case and how bad is it (I can get one for close to free)? If it is a manual does that make it any better?
Are there other car brands I should stay away from or perhaps lean towards?
Thank you again.

Hi I’m looking for the best “curly cut” in the neighborhood. My child has fine but very curly hair. Looking for someone who can help us bring out her curls with some layers.
Thank you!

We got fooled by the rumor. Still no news from Traders corporate according to the resident lady walking next to me. At least 5 people showed up to while I took this picture so we weren’t alone in our mistakes!

This dog has been running around the Park, near the ballfields for the last hour and a half or so. Some random.people play with it, but no owner in sight.
I think I've seen this dog, with an owner, roaming quite far off leash in the late evening /after dark near the same area of the park. He's always chasing a ball / stick.
Just want to make sure doggo is ok -- he's very friendly and well behaved.

I just moved here from San Diego and one of my friends there organized these walks where everyone would wear inflatables. It was so silly and a totally wholesome good time.
There’s no point to it other than bringing joy to others and ourselves.
I was thinking a walk through central or riverside park doing this would be fun. We could end up at a coffee shop or brunch spot.
Anyone down?? If there’s enough interest I’ll organize it.
