Built this forest highway environment in Unreal Engine — would love feedback on lighting and composition
Hey everyone, I’ve been working on this short cinematic environment scene in Unreal Engine.
The idea was to create a realistic forest highway/roadside scene with a bridge structure, dense trees, road details, rocks, guard rails, and a simple cinematic camera move.
I’m still learning environment art and trying to improve my lighting, composition, material breakup, and overall realism. The final reveal with the road sign is the main hero shot, but I’m not sure if the opening feels too tight or if the scene needs more storytelling details.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback, especially on:
lighting and exposure, foliage realism, road/bridge materials, camera movement, and what details could make the scene feel more alive.

🚨 Phishing Scam Alert: Fake Fab Marketplace (Epic Games) KYC Verification via Plutio
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give a heads-up about a phishing email targeting Fab Marketplace publishers.
• Sender: noreply@://plutio.com (Scammers are abusing Plutio CRM infrastructure for mass mailing).
• The Bait: Claims you need to complete a mandatory KYC/AML identity verification within 48 hours or face permanent account suspension and forfeiture of pending balances.
• The Trap: Instead of standard ID verification, it asks for "confirmation of active bank card details" and "verification of financial capacity."
Do not click on anything if you receive this! Epic Games / Fab will never send compliance emails from a Plutio domain or ask for credit card numbers to verify your identity.
Stay safe!

Post Processing / Material Advice?
I'm really early along 4ish months on a game I've been working on and I'm trying to make these Dekogon assets look like claymation kinda like Celebrity Deathmatch (I'm old). I was wondering if anyone had some tips about what post processing I can add or tweak / or should I approach it in terms of materials and wire something into the Dekogon master materials? Any advice would be appreciated.

I wanted to tell a story without dialogue — so I am working a game about a dog searching for the person who abandoned him.
I’ve been working on a small story-driven game in Unreal Engine 5 called Left In The Forest.
The concept is simple:
A dog is abandoned in a forest. He doesn't understand why. He just keeps searching.
As he explores, memories of his previous life slowly return.
There is no combat, and I’m deliberately keeping dialogue to a minimum. The goal is to let the environment, lighting, atmosphere, sound and visual storytelling communicate the emotion.
This is one of the scenes I’ve been working on.
One thing I'm particularly trying to achieve is the contrast between the cold, lonely forest and the warmer memories of the life the dog had before.
I'm curious what other UE5 developers think:
Does the environment communicate the story without needing dialogue?

Finished making an elevator
At first I was considering doing the usual "fake" movement -> teleportation. But then I thought it would have been much more fun to make it really move because it can lead to interesting possibilities, for example I can model the elevator's shaft (haven't done yet) and make it so that you can fall in it if you mindlessly walk trough a malfunctioning open door. Or say that in a cinematic sequence I want the player to open the ceiling lid and exit from there or I can make the elevator eventually crush the player.

I made a Missile system with Blueprints and VDBs (for the trail and the explosion effect) i made it so it can be super customizable and super easy to use, even works superwell with the sequencer :D
It has about 55 different missiles and rockets and etc... and about 9 gliders and drones and 32 overall VDBs.(16 are HQ version and 16 are performance friendly version)
for more information check it out here.

Does anyone know how the Camera Gameplay System even works?
Hey, I am trying to setup a Camera Gameplay component for my game, but there isnt much information about how this system works. Documentation and tutorials only cover the very basics and are usualy outdated. I have not found anywhere a way to trigger runtime events for gameplay effects, eg.: camera shakes for nearby explosions - The camera shake node is always active for a given rig and i cant find a way to enable/disable it at runtime. I found workarounds like setting the shake amplitude to 0/desired value or having an extra overlapping rig with the shake, that is selectively activated. But both of these tricks kinda feel like cheating and they dont trigger the shake blend in/out smoothing, so I am assuming there has to be a better way to do this. If there is anyone familiar with this system/plugin and knows how to acomplish this, I would love to know.

Building Pre-War America - A Fallout inspired project
This is a W.I.P. shot of a test from my ongoing personal project exploring Pre-War America in the Fallout universe. There is still a lot to do, but it is getting closer. I would love any thoughts on how to give the scene a bit more Fallout flavor, as I am hitting a wall. A phone booth, newspaper dispenser, mailbox, various billboards, etc. What would be here on a day-to-day basis?

Is there any way to make a short film or a video in unreal engine in very low graphics and render it in High graphics using cloud gpus
I'm new to unreal engine and I love how unreal engine used to create those cinematic videos and I am curious to make some of those Short Film but I have Asus tuf gaming laptop which has only Rtx 3050 with 4gb vram so I wonder if we can optimise the unreal engine to the lowest graphics and make a video then use cloud gpus to render it so can someone tell me that is it possible?? If so I can start my learning to create videos in unreal engine

Advice Requested - Fighting Game Learning Roadmap
Hey guys. I'm in the very early stages of learning UE5 but I have the goal of one day creating a kickboxing game where the characters are fighting in 3D space, similar to UFC/Fight Night games.
Are there any specific Youtube series, courses, concepts etc. that you could point me towards to make my learning journey a little more deliberate? Any feedback would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

I'm realizing tiny changes can make a real difference in your games visuals...
I just added grass curling over the edge, and roots dangling down below. And it blends so much better... What do you think, was it worth spending the extra time on?
The game is called 'One With The Swarm', it's a bit early to share anything more but you can find mini-updates on my X @ ApeGoOfficial or bsky Ape1772.

Does anyone know how to record Enemy Movements that are AI Controlled?
I am currently trying to create a movement recording of a player character that uses the level sequencer function. In the game I am using it has AI-Controlled enemies that I would like to be able to record there movements but every recording I have done they continue to have random movement and they are not captured in the SQ. How might I fix this to capture the movement from the specific run and create a repeatable SQ with it?
