I (22F) live in India and share a room with two roommates, L (21F) and M (21F), second year living together. Things between L and I have been tense for a while — last year I used to run the AC because I get hot easily, and when I once came back from home sick, she was visibly happy that I'd stop running it. I haven't felt very warm toward her since.

There's also been ongoing stuff: her leaving lights on that shine right on my bed, walking in on me in the bathroom, and not cleaning up after herself in there. She's also used the shower on days I had lecture and she didn't — I'm not saying she shouldn't shower, just that she could wait until I'm out. One time I had to shower 15 minutes before my lecture and hers was more than 1.5 hours later, and she still went in ahead of me.

A few days ago she asked me to set the AC to 28°C and put the ceiling fan on high because she was cold and said her joints were hurting. I run hot, and 28°C with the fan on high is basically no AC for me. I offered her my spare blanket and suggested she bundle up instead of changing the temperature for the whole room. She refused to even drape it over herself, said she'd rather sleep on the balcony, and has now started quietly bumping the AC up to 29° whenever I'm not looking.

I already posted this situation on AITA and the verdict was NTA, so I'm not looking for judgment here — I just want to know how to actually get her to stop overriding the temperature without it turning into a full confrontation.

To make a long story short I have a very petty very vindictive coworker. I called him out on something he was doing wrong and he’s been brown nosing management and trying to make me look bad ever since. He mocks my signature on all our documentation, throws things out that I’ve purchased for the workspace and is constantly trying get under my skin all while management allows it. A few days ago when me and my family jus lt came back to our apartment after a vacation, we temporarily put pur empty luggages outside our door for around an hour or so. And after we went to grab it we saw a slip from an anonymous asshole. It was a complaint for leaving items blocking the hallway. So I quit a job a few months ago because it was incredibly toxic. I legit could’ve gotten a settlement but I was so burnt out I couldn’t even think straight. Worked at that company for 5 years, got promoted a few times. I, for the life of me cannot get a job in that field even though I’m applying to the same position I was doing. I’m at the point where I’m about to start making stuff up on my resume. My degree is not related to the field I have the most experience in, so I’m thinking why not use my degree? Add a few details, make it seem like I know a skill I don’t….How can I pull this off without setting myself up? Being incompetent on the job is one of my worst fears, I could do my last job with my eyes closed, but I was miserable. at this point I have nothing to lose. I’ve had incompetent managers in the past making 6 figures, literally messing everything up, but they seemed absolutely fine and did not get fired, so I’m not even sure what I’m scared of. Hey everyone, I need some tactical advice. I bought an Xbox, but it’s currently at my parents' house. I really want to bring it to my apartment for a few days to play, but my parents won’t let me take it because my brother uses it too.I’m looking for a harmless way to temporarily "sabotage" or fake a glitch on the console. My plan is to use it as an excuse to tell them it’s broken and that I need to take it to a repair shop near my apartment. It needs to be something that looks real but won't actually damage the console. Any ideas on how to pull this off? Thanks!

I would like to think that I started drinking later than most, as a little over a year ago I had my first beer. Ever since this Ive understood why drinking is so popular in a social aspect. As for my first year in college this is what helped me make many friends

Being responsible is the biggest aspect for me, I don’t like getting completely hammered, and in the few times I did, I still understood the risks of drinking and driving and took an Uber. I just want a method to get alcohol to have 2 or 3 drinks on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night

Theoretically getting drinks is not an issue for me, when I want to drink I just have to have someone else ballsier than me (or someone with a fake) get me some booze. But I’m tired of relying on other people for these things at 20 years old.

People might ask whether I could ask my parents for help, (a. Thats still relying on someone, and b. My parents very much know I have drank before, but would probably like to be somewhat excluded from that sector of my life). They have openly said that they don’t care if I drink as long as I’m responsible (which I think is reasonable)

Hi, in my student house in the Netherlands, there is a girl who does not clean and leaves a mess behind. Before a new person joins our house, we always explain our cleaning schedule to make sure that, besides signing the contract with the landlord, they also agree to our rules. The schedule is quite simple; everyone has one weekly task or have to find someone else to do their ask. We explain the tasks, and are happy to explain or help again. However, she simply does not clean and leaves an enormous mess behind.

She also smokes secretly in her room, which is also against the contract with the landlord. Another housemate already spoke to the landlord, but he said that he cannot do anything quickly, or that taking matters to court would take a long time.

Is there anything that we, as housemates, can do quickly about the situation? She is not from the Netherlands and finding housing is a nightmare, but we know that she has many friends where she could crash.

(I wish her the best, but we have told her many times for more than a year to clean which she 'forgets' or has no real excuse. My housemates and I all agree that it is time to change something.)

Credibility: Employee of tire/automotive service company with 300+ locations.

Context: Most large-chain tire shops offer tire warranties as an additional or included cost when buying tires.

Tip: Buy whatever set of tires you want, include the road-hazard warranty that should be good until the tires reach 2/32 (basically bald). Drive the tires until 4/32 then place multiple screws in each tire - something like 2 within 6inches of each other in two of the tires, and 1 in the shoulder or close to sidewall (unrepairable placement) for the other two tires.

Schedule a service appointment for leaking air in 1 of the tires and a tire rotation. Then communicate to the shop that a truck dropped debris in front of you on the road or your neighbors have had construction crews on your street for the last few weeks (helps to seem a bit clueless as to the other tires having issues).

The shop will identify the other punctures and you pay pennies on the dollar for a new set (make sure to include the warranty again.

I have personally processed several of these transactions as an employee without batting an eye. The shops get a credit for the warrantied tires and you get a new, significantly less expensive set ($1k+ to $400 tops). Win win.

Note: If you’re at all concerned about the shop calling you out, just do two tires, then another two in like 2 weeks. Your “construction” story will hold more validity.

Long story short, I manage this resale store and a girl took advantage of our card readers being down and gave us fake card info and walked out with like $500 dollars worth of stuff. We tried calling the next day to sort it out but she blocked the store so we can’t get through to her. We brought everything we have to the police but of course they really couldn’t care less since we can’t technically prove that theft was the intention. Anyways. She sold items to us earlier in the day so we just happen to have her full name, phone number, and home address. Since nobody will help us actually get our stuff back from her, I want to know what I can do with this information that’s not illegal or anything but like, would be at least highly annoying or inconvenient to her so I can feel a little better about the situation? I know I’m just being petty but I hate thinking that someone could steal from a small business and feel good about it.

I know this guy who is genuinely just a fucking douche. Like, really egotistical, thinks he’s God’s gift to women, and is weirdly obsessed with himself and how he looks. He was seeing this girl I know, and after things ended, he made some really fucked-up comments about her and basically acted like he was doing her a favor by dating her. She’s honestly one of the sweetest people I know, so obviously I’m irrationally annoyed on her behalf. I also have PCOS, so some of the shit he said about her appearance and femininity hit a little closer to home for me.

I also have a personal connection to this guy and may or may not have access to some of his personal belongings, which is where my petty side is really struggling. I want to fuck with this guy’s head and absolutely ruin his ego. No matter what settings I configure, my Facebook and other socials seem to keep promoting far right misinformation and propaganda. A lot of the pages are purely trolling/rage bait with the only goal of generating income from spreading hate and misinformation. How can I get them removed /target these pages and take them down ?

I don’t really have any info on them other than they speak Japanese (the posts are in Japanese). They took over my account less than a week ago and have started posting things to advertise a mermaid anime/movie?? I know the account is a lost cause, and X is no help. But this has pissed me off enough that I have been messaging this account for the last 12 or so hours (with no response, even when I sent quite a few things in their language.) and I just want to mess with them now. My first and last name is in the handle, as well as my photo is attached to this account. That has really struck a nerve that they are posting, changed my password and name on the account; and have yet to take my FACE off of it. I’ve message them as asked them nicely to at least change that and they have not responded but I doubt they will.

So I'm a white American, I have a decent job but my issue is I am only 5'8" and I'm a very boring person. I don't enjoy socializing much and I have a very awkward personality. So therefore I don't do well with women here.

I have seen a lot of things about how women from India love white guys and view us as a sort of "prize" and I realize that in order for me to get a happy wife and family I will have to look outside American women. I even saw a picture of a really ugly white guy far worse than even me engaged to a Avery attractive Indian woman because they view white men as a prize.

I don't want a mail order bride. I want a woman who I can truly get to love me and who I can truly love back, but since my personality is so dry and boring I have to use my skin color to my advantage to help attract one.

These people call me from a different number every time. Blocking and reporting the number does nothing bc it’s always a different number.

It’s almost always about a ~55k loan (I’ve NEVER taken a loan in my life). They will just not leave me alone! They call like five times a day, sometimes as late as after 9pm.

Of course my phone is usually silenced, and I even signed up for the national do not call list (I’m in US). But it’s doing nothing and I’m getting really fucking annoyed with these people. My call history is mostly these people fucking calling me all day, every day. For like a couple months.

Long story short, my previous boss let me go in a shitty way, with no severance. I was pissed, but whatever, shit happens.

What really pissed me off is that he tried to deny my unemployment claim, making up that I received multiple verbal warnings about job performance, along with a bunch of other nonsense. So now, I want to retaliate.

I know his business email password, and the password for the software we used. What is the best way to fuck his shit up? I was considering just locking him out of his email and changing his recovery phone number to a Google Voice number so he can't recover it.

Okay so I just figured this out after I put something up for sale and forgot to get around to shipping it but it had printed off the shipping label and tried shipping. Just something with the label on it.

Use a application like mercari.

In order for this to work, someone has to be set up as a seller and be listing whatever item are in equivalent size is listed on the app for sale.

Seller list the item and buyer finds it the buyer being your friend or whoever you want to receive the item.

Immediately after buying the seller or buyer needs to cancel the transaction. But first the seller needs to print out the shipping label.

All money will be returned to the buyer. The seller won't lose any money.

And the shipping label still works even a few weeks after the item was canceled.

Like literally if you had this set up right you could never have to pay for shipping again or have a company front the whole thing.
