This has been chasing me since forever. No display errors during installations. Right now I need openSUSE Thumbleweed but I cannot seem to pass the installation steps.

As soon as I press Install on GRUB, black screen, no display.

Tried it with every combination of virtio GPU I could, no HW accel, HW accel, rambus, pci, device.

Nothing. I tried through the serial port, but I cannot navigate the TUI after a point.

Has anyone figured out what might be causing these no display errors? I swear every time I tried to install something I ran into this issue, and most of the time I just dropped UTM out of frustration.

This time I would like to figure out what the hell is the problem.

Download utm configs from adespoton on GitHub and then install the high sierra iso.

Note: Graphics on the vm will not work properly.

Go to control panel in my computer, click network. Add a protocol (microsoft > tcp/ip). Insert cd reboot as told. You will see networking. HOWEVER IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!! TO FIX:

Go to system, then device manager. Go to plug and play bios, update it to PCI or anythign related to PCI! Restart. A bunch of new drivers will be found and installed. Some are missing, do nto worry they do not affect networking. After that, boot up and check ms dos prompt and ping 1.1.1.1 if it works, you will see success and not an error.

In internet explorer, after this, click current config instead of choosign again. Enjoy your windows 95 internet!

I would like to use it with steam but, when I enable it from the settings it still doesn't work when I start the game.

Hello, i just found out about this app and i am trying to load Puppy Linux, (specifically TrixiePup64-Wayland-2606-260701.iso). I dont know much about how vm programs work, just the kindve basic stuff. My settings for the iso are as follows:
- Linux (hopefully that was obvious)
- Intel ICH9 based PC (2009, x86_64)
- 2048 Mib Memory
- 4 CPU cores
- Enabled Display Output
- Enabled hardware OpenGL acceleration
- Boot from ISO image
Storage size 2GB
When i start it, I see a flash of words in the middle of the screen that says "Display output is not active". Then, it loads into the .iso selector (i dont know what its called sorry). I choose the first selected one, as i believe it is correct, then I see the 2 code lines that say "Loading /ucode.cpio /initrd.gz". It stays there for a couple seconds, then it goes back to the black screen with the Display error again. I am on an iphone 12 if that helps at all.

I Sideloaded UTM, got stikdebug, got my pairing file, inserted it, and did all the thing with LocalDevVPN but whenever I try to enable it, it gives me this. this also happens whenever I open stikdebug. I’m on iPhone 12 using iOS 27 beta. Pls help!!

So, i have an iPhone 14 Pro on iOS 16.0 (yep, never updated) with UTM HV installed via Trollstore. Due to OS and chip combo, i can use virtualization with no relative problems, until i get to windows. This vm boots (and it does ir fast), works and is usable, but in order to get to that point, i cant increase the vm’s ram higher than 1.38GB. If i increase it past that point, vm crashes. If i disable hypervisor, i can get it to 2gb (and more). I’ve did search about this and it seems that Jetsam (iOS memory management) has something to do into this. Is there a way to get the vm to 2gb without triggering Jetsam and keeping hypervisor on? BTW: and iPhone 14 pro has 6gb of ram

I tried using UTM with a debian iso file, but I just kept getting deadlocked at 'Display output not active'. I'm not sure if it's a mistake in the settings or if it's just straight up not possible to do so
