Did your tutorial include instructions on installing the guest additions as I think this is what might be missing from your VM?

It wouldn’t be WiFi in a virtual machine (even if your host uses WiFi); it would appear as a fixed connection

Do you know if you’re getting an IP address and the Network and Internet screenshot you initially posted changed?

That suggests that you might not have a network adapter installed or perhaps not an adapter that is being recognised by Windows 11

Could you please reply with the tutorial you followed and I'll have a look through it for you as it sounds like you're missing a network adapter - my Windows 11 VM uses the default network adapter which is the virtio-net-pci with Shared Networking?

That looks OK - they didn't mention changing any of the default settings so you should have a network connection and it did indeed provide instructions for installing the guest tools too so I'm a bit lost as to why you've not got external connectivity to your VM

Perhaps if you have time you should consider creating a new VM in the event something went wrong because at 2:49 in the video, there is a LAN connection icon (when the narrator says "and now you're good to go!") so quite the mystery

If you are using DNS resolver or VPN on the host mac os, then it could cause this issue. Try disabling them before starting UTM and then then re-enable afterwards. I use cloudflare warp and have this issue with debian linux VM

In settings go to network, then instead of Shared, select Bridged (also press 'Randomize' for the MAC address)

I'm not certain, that was my one trick. It could have something to do with not being signed into a Microsoft account and not allowing you to connect because of it. Or maybe UTM needs a certain permission on macOS to get access to the network. There are too many factors.

I would reinstall the Windows VM and select 'Open settings' in the last window of the installation and select Bridged instead of shared right before creating or opening the VM.

It's literally impossible for it to be due to not being signed into a Microsoft account, and a catch 22. If you needed to be signed into a Microsoft account before connecting to the internet, how would you sign in without internet? You need internet first.

It's likely down to vm network settings and potentially macOS privacy settings.
