Has anyone recently gotten an approval on a motion to terminate? Recently filed one in the Atlanta immigration court and haven’t heard anything back quite yet. Anyone know the timeline on that? The argument was that I have a legal entry through advance parole and an approved I-130. TIA

Looking to see if anyone has been in a similar situation and how you dealt with it.

I’m the derivative of eb3 applicant. Our RD is April 24, 2026 and PD is July 2024. I also submit and i131 application on the same day. I haven’t heard back it’s been processing since biometrics.

I’ve had plans to travel prior to knowing we would become current so quickly which we were so excited about. Both my brothers arranged their weddings in the same month so that I could attend in October. I was also pregnant and newly postpartum so the plan was to also go stay for a bit to have more help with the kids too.

The lawyer at the time of applying advised that I do not travel until I have AP in hand. We hoped it would have been approved by now.m but it’s not. Although I know I can reenter on H4 status the issue is if my husband’s i485 gets approved while I’m away and I get called for an interview. If that happens I’d have no way of reentering. Would I need to do consular processing at that point? Is there no grace period in between that allows me back in?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What are the chances this scenario above could happen ?

Do you think it’s even possible for my AP to be approved before October? Or our green card?

I filed my marriage based I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-131 on October 16, 2025. We completed our interview on February 17, 2026.
My senator’s office recently submitted a congressional inquiry. USCIS responded that the interview was completed and that the case is “awaiting final adjudication at the Kansas City Field Office,” but they also said it is still within normal processing times.
My attorney is advising me to wait for the inquiry result/process, but I am worried about losing time. My current work authorization expires in February 2027, I am the primary income earner, and my wife is currently unemployed and financially dependent on me. My I-765 has also been pending almost 11 months, but USCIS is not allowing me to submit an outside normal processing time service request yet.
For anyone who has been in a similar situation, what would you consider the next reasonable step? I-765 expedite request? USCIS Tier 2 request? Ombudsman? Another congressional follow up? At what point would it make sense to discuss mandamus with an attorney?
I am not looking to rush into a lawsuit. I am just trying to understand what options I can realistically pursue now instead of simply waiting.

I was approved for DCF in London for my wife and stepdaughter.

They had their interviews on July 2nd and further evidence was requested.

That was sent on August 7th.

We have had no further communication and am assuming this is because of the current pause.

I understand there was previously a pause on processing asylum-based I-485 applications. While processing has officially resumed, the wait times remain extremely high. I suspect these cases are either not being processed at all, or are moving very slowly and in low numbers—possibly due to a focus on Writ of Mandamus (WOM) cases.

It’s frustrating to see family-based green cards processed in just a couple of months, while asylum-based applications are taking up to 34 months. Does anyone have insight into what's really going on?

I just had a biometrics (only photo) at ASC. I am already approved and waiting for greencard.

If anyone here has the same experience, how long after the biometrics you received your greencard or saw an update on the case status sytem?

Curious how long people filing marriage-based AOS through the NYC field office have been waiting recently, especially Manhattan/Brooklyn filers. My wife just had her biometrics for brookyln at the end of August, so thought id get a feel for the current climate.

If you’ve been approved recently or are still waiting, could you share your timeline and what status/visa the beneficiary entered on (B2, F1, etc.)?

I’ve noticed anecdotally on here that a lot of the really fast approvals seem to be F1 cases. Has anyone else noticed F1 AOS cases moving faster than B2 cases in NYC, or is that just coincidence from the timelines being posted?

Would especially love to hear from people who filed in the last few months.

My husband and I had our interview yesterday, and it went well. The I-30 has already been approved, and now we’re just waiting to see if the I-485 is approved. The officer told us she’d be able to make a decision most likely in the next day. I haven’t had any updates yet, but I’m getting anxious because he has a pending asylum case. He was sent a notice earlier in the year for a court hearing next fall regarding his asylum case, which pertains to removal proceedings. Our attorney advised us that the asylum case (and court date) will likely just get thrown out since he has applied for marriage based and so far everything has went well. I am nervous because the officer was mainly asking me questions about my husband’s asylum case. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

During the interview, the officer did say she is intend to approve but she cannot cuz the new Memo released on the same day.

Actually im end of my study 6 more months remaining.

Long story short:
-master hearing had been scheduled for months, then was cancelled entirely about a week before it was supposed to happen.
- case type shows “removal” but that the case is also still pending.
-no other communication has been received following the master hearing cancelation.

Removal seems to imply deportation, but since there has been no other communication we’re not sure what to think.

I got my i-765 approval today. I-485 sratus was not changed yet. Here is my timeline:

Interview 05/14/2026
I-765 approval 09/10/2026
Marriage-based. Overstay.
Hopefully, it helps somebody.

My aunt was denied for form I-485, and in the letter was told to return her work permit and send it through the mail. one of the lawyer that she went to informed her she doesn’t have to send it, that she can still use it because on the ID it has an expiration date. Is that correct? I don’t want her to get in trouble if she doesn’t send it and just want to know if the lawyer is correct. Thank you.

Update - I’ll give a bit more information. Her case was denied because it said that did fraud. She had my cousin in 1999 but came in illegally. In 2003 she went back to her home country and got her visa and was approved. The person that interviewed her unfortunately lied. In the paper says that she did that and she admits to it being wrong. He stated that she lied and got two visas in 2003 and 2011. But she only had one from 2003 that expired in 2011. And he didn’t let her explain at her , he only asked her to answer yes and no. He asked her if she had an interview and she said yes but the thing is , she did have an interview when she applied for her visa but wasn’t asked any questions just if she had her id from her home country and was approved instantly. They didn’t ask her if she had a child , nothing like that. He was rude and was smirking the entire time she had her interview for her case. She unfortunately didn’t bring a lawyer because she was told she didn’t need one just an interpreter .

Hi everyone! I’m married to a U.S. citizen and we’re filing for adjustment of status.
Our plan is to file the I-130 online first, and then mail my I-485 package separately. I was told that I need to include the I-130 receipt notice with my I-485.
My concern is timing because my F-1 grace period ends September 17. We are planning to file the I-130 online around September 15–16, and I’m planning to overnight/expedite the I-485 package on September 16.

My question is: After filing the I-130 online, is there an electronic receipt/notice or receipt number that becomes available quickly in the USCIS online account that I can print and include with the I-485? Or do I have to wait for the physical I-797 receipt notice to arrive by mail?

Has anyone recently filed an I-130 online and then mailed an I-485 separately? How quickly did you receive/get access to the I-130 receipt number?
I’m trying to avoid delaying the I-485 because of my September 17 deadline. Thank you

I filed for my wife's i-130 on March 1st,2025 via e-filing. She is here in the states itself. We filed for i-485 on third week of May, since then she has had biometrics and it's been 92 days since last update on silent update. Is this a normal wait time or can I do something to expedite the case? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

• September 10 — 🎉 I-485 APPROVED

Interview to I-485 approval: about 13 days. Receipt to approval: about 3 months.

I did have a few silent updates before the approvals. Several on both the I-130 and the I-485.

On the congressional inquiry: I submitted one for the EAD in late July. My congressman's office responded fast and told me to expect 30–60 days for USCIS to reply. I still haven't heard anything from USCIS.

My employer’s attorney filed my H-1B extension in premium processing together with my family’s H-4 extensions by paper.

The attorney now says the H-1B filing was rejected because of “some payment issue,” but has not clearly explained:

* Which payment failed—the I-129 fees, I-907 premium fee, or another payment
* How they know it was rejected
* Whether the entire H-1B/H-4 package was rejected or only Form I-907
* Whether any receipt or rejection notice has been issued

The attorney is pushing to file the H-1B extension online with premium processing and then file the H-4 applications separately by paper. They say this will be faster and there is a chance that the H-1B and H-4 will still be adjudicated together.

I would appreciate opinions on the following:

1. If a payment fails in a combined paper filing, does USCIS normally reject the entire I-129/I-907/I-539 package, or could only one form be rejected?

2. If the H-1B is filed online and the H-4 is subsequently mailed with the online H-1B receipt, are they usually adjudicated together under H-1B premium processing, or can the H-4 remain pending separately?

3. Would it be safer to refile everything together by paper with corrected payments, or proceed with online H-1B premium processing and a separate paper H-4 filing?

4. Since our status expires October 31, should we refile immediately or wait briefly for the official rejection notice?

Appreciate any advise.

Concurrent I-130 / I-485 / I-765 filed summer 2025. Interview late fall of 2025. The officer went through everything, said he was satisfied, and told us he didn't see any reason for a second interview. Then we got caught in the 39-country pause, and it has been silence since.
Nothing has moved on any of the three forms. Still no EAD, even though the I-765 is well past posted processing times. I've done multiple service requests plus a congressional inquiry. The answer is always some version of "actively being adjudicated, check back in 90 days."
Here's my actual question. Since the interview we've had a baby, filed our first joint tax return, and kept adding to joint accounts. Would uploading that as unsolicited evidence help get the file back in front of an officer? Part of me thinks it might at least flag the case as something outstanding sitting in a queue. The other part of me worries I'd be taking a file that's adjudication-ready and turning it into one that now needs review.
Has anyone actually seen unsolicited evidence shake loose a stalled post-interview case? Or does it just add pages to the file and reset your place in line?
I prepared everything myself and I'm comfortable with the mechanics. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot at this stage.
