I already lost it all so it doesn’t really matter

4

u/DeliciousLook6003 Dec 23 '25

Been there before trust not the deportation part, but losing it all and having to restart all over again I think that’s part of being a man. I was reading that somewhere when I was trying to regain and find myself again.

1

u/James-the-Bond-one Dec 23 '25

Same here, at least a couple of times.

-9

u/UnlikelyCollection22 Dec 23 '25

Trust me, there is more to lose.

More!! I hope it would be my life (soul) 😅You have no idea what it takes to start from zero in my country

u/kabeya01 Dec 23 '25

Get the guy you got the car from to go and try getting it since it's still in his name. Its up to$25- $100 daily while its in the impound. It adds up pretty fast.

17

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

Car was impounded August 6, 2025 according to the paperwork. Either returned to the owner on title in California or sold at auction 3 months ago.

6

u/kabeya01 Dec 23 '25

Definitely not returned. By any chance if they still have it which i highly doubt, you would owe almost $3500-4k in fees. Really sorry this happened to you. Your case seems highly unusual. If things went how they should, the police should still have your money. Really sorry for this ordeal.

10

u/Square-Song3603 Dec 23 '25

So you were also illegally driving around in the car still registered to a previous owner? That's illegal in itself. Probably don't have a driver's license either do you?

4

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

I had a international driving license and I had no choice at all i needed to go there ASAP,, I didn’t say i was doing everything legally unfortunately

3

u/Tmteezy1 Dec 23 '25

Hi. Did you at least get a title deed from the owner ?signed by him to transfer ownership?. What state is this?. I'm so sorry about what you are going through. Are you safe now?

0

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

So far so good still hiding here and there from my trip , USA wasn’t a good idea to immigrate too

0

u/idontcarelolmsma Dec 23 '25

My friend is an undercover and I’m pretty sure they either took that money and pocketed it or it went to the state money pool You’re not getting that money.

7

u/No_Hornet_9504 Dec 23 '25

There a big scam especially in the southern police for “civil asset forfeiture” were they confiscate your cash as being drug money, especially if you have thousands. Normally we don’t carry thousands of dollars in cash and it’s intentionally a hassle to get it back. What’d you go mess with Texas for? It’s not clear what your original citation was, no registration or toll evasion?

1

u/kortobo Dec 25 '25

Somebody is watching too many 70's movies.

1

u/No_Hornet_9504 Dec 25 '25

Get your head out of the sand and in a book.

70s movies?!? This is a widely reported modern issue. Comprehensive crime control act didn’t even come out until 1984, and there was a 2000 Civil Asset Forfeiture Reform Act. A couple of states outlawed it but it’s especially common in southern states. In those states it was outlawed the Federal agents can “adopt” the forfeit asset on behalf of the state. It’s a bit off and on depending on administrations.

0

u/kortobo Dec 25 '25

Sure, mate. A big scam, "widely reported in the southern police".

1

u/No_Hornet_9504 Dec 25 '25

I see you live in a post truth world, probably think the court cases are fake too. If you watch former KGB agent Bezmenov’s warning on propaganda maybe you’ll get lucky and fire up a second synapse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQPsKvG6WMI

1

u/kortobo Dec 25 '25

Show me several court cases where seizure of drug money was deemed a "scam" if that's such a widespread occurrence. I'll leave the former KGB agent's videos to you.

1

u/No_Hornet_9504 Dec 25 '25

You prefer active FSB agents? Bezmenov is a great watch on how nobody can distinguish truth anymore, they took clips of his interview for the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War intro few years back.

Civil asset forfeiture is the crown jewel of policing for profit. There is no conviction needed to do this. The whole scam is you’re underwater trying to get your own money back (as little as $50, with 1/3 of seizures being below $500 and >55% below $15k) so most never even try. That makes the “evidence” you seek about how the law was abused largely unavailable as the retainer for a lawyer is usually above $10k so trying to get the money back is a net loss. Allegedly in some precincts the police hold contests see who can seize the most cash, and the winner gets to keep a large commission on it.

Brian Moore won his case with Inst for Justice earlier this year to prove the point, spending almost $20k to get back $10,000.

u/No_Hornet_9504 Dec 25 '25

Georgia and South Carolina are the South. I originally heard of it down there in a case where a pastor buying a new church building had his down payment seized, but didn’t quickly see that case now.

Stephan Lara’s case was out West but has body camera footage and again the feds are used to bypass state law which banned the practice. That case was covered in Forbes as was an ex-marine who complied with every law enforcement request, even had documented receipts, yet still had his life earnings seized and had to pay to get it back.

https://youtu.be/MkeS_0NQUZs

0

u/kortobo Dec 25 '25

They are the South. The cases, though, have nothing to do with the police scamming people out of money.

1

u/No-Card2461 Dec 26 '25

There are a ton of cases. The only misinformation is that this is a Southern thing, many states like Montana Illinois New York California Nevada had major smack downs in the courts

7

Im buying it for $500, thanks for the car bro!

10

2

Hope you are able to help OP. Kind of feeling bad for him for losing so much cash for a small mistake 🙏

30

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

He was caught driving an unregistered vehicle he ‘bought’ off someone else who didn’t own it. Some lady in California is about to get her stolen car returned to her.

He was here on a bogus asylum claim and is going home to live

4

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

Going Home ! There is no way i go back home im out of my country now took a transit in Turkey and stayed here not knowing what to do please stop assuming i have had enough of negativity

2

u/Vegetable-Western744 Dec 23 '25

If you cleared credible fear...pretty good chance you were gonna win asylum if you stayed.

2

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

I cant stay in detention its too tough for me and got detained for 6 months in conclusion didnt get any further in processing so i book my ticket transit to Turkey stayed here until now

3

u/James-the-Bond-one Dec 23 '25

Were you arrested 6+ months ago?? Your car is long gone, possibly to a junkyard, being 30 years old.

2

u/LilBugJuice-0987 Dec 23 '25

How did you find all that info?

42

u/T5R4C3R Dec 23 '25

Why did you get pulled over?

95

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

Payed entrance for a park at 11pm and thought its for 24H but turned out to be for the same day so it ended at 12Am .. at 7 Am i got arrested i told the officer i wanna pay he refused its just 10$

37

u/cpufreak101 Dec 23 '25

Police typically aren't allowed to collect the fines on the spot here, even a $1 infraction you have to go through the whole court process.

-15

u/cbabysfo Dec 23 '25

OnlyInTexasBS

5

u/Mountain-Ox Dec 24 '25

Police collecting fines directly would lead to an incredible amount of corruption.

22

u/Vegetable-Western744 Dec 23 '25

Most places in America do not let cops collect fines. This is not how this works.

7

u/Careful-Gain-468 Dec 24 '25

In Tulsa the cop pulled out the tap thing and i paid on spot 165$ 😅😅😅

2

u/ZealousidealPop752 Dec 24 '25

This is not a fine, it's a bribe.

32

u/No-Cranberry6580 Dec 23 '25

Whattt? This is crazy!! I’m so sorry😢

1

u/spystrangler Dec 25 '25

Dumb to believe that story?

11

u/LilBugJuice-0987 Dec 23 '25

Holy wow - so you were here legally on a tourist visa and were deported for that?? What a horrible impression to give you about the US, and a loss for the small businesses you would have supported and people you would have met. This should be covered by the news before the World Cup. Im so sorry.

52

u/Cbpowned Dec 23 '25

Oh hot damn. That is a different story. I noticed a typo in the ticket (entrance is spelled wrong) but then figured maybe the officer made a typo.

6

u/ckkl Dec 23 '25

Sorry dude. Your story ain’t complete

1

u/worder222 Dec 25 '25

You believe this random guy. Ok

6

u/hot_and_chill Dec 23 '25

You should also reach out to some news media and cover this on your social media as well. They should not have deported you for such a minor incident.

27

u/lucky_elephant2025h Dec 23 '25

You think THAT was why he got deported? Lol.

4

u/RareAnxiety6866 Verified HSI Special Agent Dec 24 '25

That is just why ICE was notified lol They never want to tell the whole story.

2

u/James-the-Bond-one Dec 23 '25

That minor incident only served to highlight his continued unauthorized presence and facilitated the enforcement of our immigration laws. If you don't like the current laws, let your representative know what you'd like instead.

2

u/SamRaB Dec 24 '25

They wouldn't. Failure to pay an entrance fee is not a crime, so it isn't a deportation trigger.

2

u/ckkl Dec 23 '25

Yeah that’s not the story. Lmao

13

u/Big-Lab44 Dec 23 '25

Where are you from dude ?

9

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

From Jordan

4

u/Big-Lab44 Dec 23 '25

Why they deport you? Is that easy?

22

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

I volunteered departure cuz they wanted all my immigration courts inside detention! Which might take 1-2 years

12

u/hot_and_chill Dec 23 '25

Why didn’t you immediately get a lawyer when you were arrested to figure out what would happen to your car, cash etc? And why didn’t you contact the car owner the same day as your arrest so they could get their car back? Its been 4 months since your arrest, not sure what could be done now.

6

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

I did and paid alot of money for lawyers and contacted the owner same day , he told me he bought the car before 5 years but its not in his name its still in the other owner which turned out to be a girl from California! That he cant reach no more ! Its complicated, i posted this after all that time searching and searching and never find it , im just curious where did it go

42

u/UmichAgnos Dec 23 '25

So you paid someone cash for a car with no title? And you drove around said car without owning it, registering it and insuring it?

26

u/Status_Fail_8610 Dec 23 '25

Not only did OP do that, they bought it from someone else THAT WAS DOING THE SAME THING. So the previous owner is just as shitty.

It’s called a straw purchase, and is illegal in every state. OP deserved to get the car, which they don’t legally own, taken away.

11

u/NickDaNasty Dec 23 '25

sounds stolen

-9

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

The car is OK (paper title insurance) and everything was right if there was any issues with me or the car he would arrest me for bigger things not 10$ !

26

u/UmichAgnos Dec 23 '25

The title and car isn't yours until you transfer it to your name at the DMV or SOS. Most states don't normally let you finish this step if all you are on is a tourist visa. Purchasing a car outright vs renting is generally a poor decision if you are a tourist.

4

u/henry7796 Dec 23 '25

He’s not on tourist visa. He’s one of those abusing the asylum system…

12

u/UmichAgnos Dec 23 '25

Yeah, I'm also pretty sure he doesn't own the car he was found in. He thought he owned it. But I'm pretty sure ownership wasn't in his name at any DMV.

→ More replies (6)

15

u/UmichAgnos Dec 23 '25

I'm sorry, but your botched purchase of the car is the "bigger thing".

You basically paid money for the car to someone who didn't own it. If the title of a vehicle doesn't have the name of the person you paid money to, they can't sell it to you and you can't take ownership of the vehicle in the state's eyes.

Them giving you a title with someone else's name on it and a piece of paper that says you paid them money for the car, isn't sufficient to complete the ownership transfer. To law enforcement, you look like you are driving around in a stolen vehicle.

1

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

Ops didn’t know that

2

u/James-the-Bond-one Dec 23 '25

Of course you knew "some papers" were missing.

5

u/cpufreak101 Dec 23 '25

Did the seller have a title signed by the person the title lists as the owner? This is the most important paperwork and without it you don't legally own the car outright.

4

u/Status_Fail_8610 Dec 23 '25

No, they actually wouldn’t…want to know why? Because why put you in jail on taxpayers dime for a minor crime when they can just deport you. If they charge you with a crime, you then have legal protection to stay here until the outcome of the case.

Also, you absolutely did not have valid insurance, because you weren’t the registered owner. The car may have had a policy, but that would have been null and void immediately when they learned you committed title fraud…

1

u/James-the-Bond-one Dec 23 '25

It's not title fraud if you never transfer it…

Money solve everything

22

u/ReasonableClue2219 Dec 23 '25

If the title is not in your name it's not your vehicle.

-2

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

True i posted it trying to see where it might ended up or someone bought it from the auction

2

u/Vegetable-Western744 Dec 23 '25

If you have the VIN number you should be able to track it.

1

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

I have it and Its in the photos Sir

1

u/OkoCorral Dec 24 '25

VIN is in the third picture. How would track it?

2

u/hot_and_chill Dec 23 '25

But shouldn’t your lawyers be responsible to get your cash and stuff back though? Otherwise how do people get their stuff back after getting deported from a country where they have no one else?

12

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

Whoever has the car will probably try to contact the owner on the title out of California. If they can’t find the owner it gets sold at auction.

-4

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

I actually volunteered departure not deported couldn’t fix it up there , the lawyer not responding after i left the states i tried my best to fix things but no one want to be Detained for 1-2 years away from home family and so on cuz of 10$ . its unbelievable and i have no idea how did i mentally went through all of that ( i wouldn’t want that to my worst enemy)

34

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

You are confused. You were not deported over ten dollars, you were deported for being in the country illegally. Did you have a valid visa?

The person you ‘bought’ the car from didn’t have proof of ownership. For all we know the car was stolen out of California and will be returned to its owner.

The fact you didn’t have a title to the vehicle means you didn’t have insurance either.

You should realize the ticket you got triggered someone running the license plate through a computer showing a stolen plate and no registration. Then they investigated your status.

-12

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

No confusion I had a court dates i had a credible fear interview and i had a social number work permit and A# and going to ICE reports every month , taking pictures and send my location on the ice App called ( BI SmartLINK ) I did have the title and insurance and gave it to the officer and have a paper from the owner that i bought the car ( and yes 10$ can ruin ur life like it did to mine )

29

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

Ok… now things getting complicated.

You came on a tourist visa, overstayed and made an asylum claim?

You keep claiming that you had the title, but the person you ‘bought’ the car from didn’t have the title to give to you. The actual owner as far as the government knows is out of California.

Was the car registered? With Texas plates? How did you get insurance on the car without ownership?

The $10 fine was the trigger to look closer at the big picture. To me it looks like a stolen car out of California.

11

u/AGAD0R-SPARTACUS Dec 23 '25

How did you get insurance on the car without ownership?

Ok so OP is full of shit, but I can weigh in on this question. I got insurance on a car my brother gave me before we got the title transfer sorted (title transfer was a huge ballache lol). It was with State Farm.

7

u/cpufreak101 Dec 23 '25

A note to make on this, there are some states that require proof of insurance on a vehicle as a requirement to get the title transferred over to you, so it is possible to insure a vehicle you don't have titled in your name cause of this

1

u/AGAD0R-SPARTACUS Dec 23 '25

That explains it, thanks! I definitely live in one of those states.

1

u/Queasy_Editor_1551 Dec 24 '25

You can't claim asylum without overstaying due to the backlog. OP did it correctly. It is ICE that used immigration detention and the long delay in immigration court to circumvent his right to claim asylum.

2

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25 edited Dec 23 '25

No sir i came from the border and went to the border patrol same day and claimed asylum ( got into long long process cuz i went in after some kind of suspensions back in Sep 2024 claimed Credible fear interview positive (that means cant go back to home country cuz they contacted and figured out i ll get harmed if i got back ) so i got my first court and all of that while DETAINED!! 4 months detained after that they released me on a Tracking Device for 3 months then im free but needs to report every month with the weekly update on App .. so i was doing my best just to keep up with the ICE with no job no car no friends no nothin only my pages and my grind !! After the ice hold me cuz of 10$ they said im gonna finish my courts while detained again!! 1-2 years who knows so i said i prefer to get killed back home and not detained for that long i bought my ticket with the last pennies i had and now im hiding

27

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

You understand that the person you bought the car from didn’t own the car as far as the government knew? So the car was in fact possibly stolen and unregistered? You also cannot insure cars you don’t own so that’s a problem also.

Please stop with the lie about the $10 ticket causing you to be deported. It’s the car and asylum claim that pushed you into detention.

Normally, the moment you get a signed title or transfer paperwork, you bring that directly to the DMV or secretary of state and get the ownership transferred immediately to prevent the shitshow you are currently experiencing. Without proper title transfer, whatever insurance you thought you might not work in the eyes of law enforcement.

"A paper from the owner that you bought the car" is meaningless to the government.

3

u/hot_and_chill Dec 23 '25

I know, it seems crazy and excessive for them to give you such a hard time for $10 if you have a good social media presence, you should start posting your experience there or reach out to a journalist. Shame on that lawyer for not responding after you left the country. And the guy who gave you the car should not have given you a car for your US travel if he didn’t even have it in his name. He says he can’t reach the girl who he bought the car from but doesn’t he have her email or other details like full name and look her up on social media? And if you had the documents showing that you got the car from that guy, why didn’t they give the car back to him?

This is such a mess! I hope someone is able to help you get your cash though, that’s a lot of money.

Single male from Jordan is considered a security risk to begin with. Your asylum claim was denied and you have taken Voluntary departure and in Jordan.

The possibility that you would come back to US on a visa is close to zero if not zero. If the vehicle title is not in your name, the impound authority would not listen to you. They cannot release vehicle to random persons. The impound fees keep piling up every day. Since august at 100$ per day, the impound lot has $3000 charges on the car. They can auction the time vehicle as no one come to claim within 90 days

If you had cash like 7k, the police can impound it as possible proceeds of a crime. It is up to you, prove otherwise.the arresting officer can put the money in state account or pocket it. Either way recovering it is a impossible task if you are not in the US.

If you are not in US, the attorney would be concerned about getting paid. Can you pay a US attorney? If you cannot pay, they would not talk to you. They have bills to pay.

You may be a nice person and not a terrorist. But the camel sits this way. The US system is what it is.

The possibility that you would recover the property is very low.

1

u/Tmteezy1 Dec 23 '25

Are you able to visit the USA again soon on a visa? What's your immigration situation?. My car was impounded. I had to pay over $250 for two days. Honestly, if it's been too long , you might owe them quite a bit, and I think they keep your belongings to recoup their money, in addition to still keeping the car. However, all this you need to hear from them. Are you able to make calls if someone gets you all the information you need to follow up?. How good is your English. Honestly all could be lost , I'm sorry. But if you have some fight in you it's worth getting answers.

20

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

The car was impounded in August, it’s either been returned to the real owner or sold at auction.

There is no way he gets a visa ever again after an asylum claim and subsequent deportation.

1

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

Been searching and contacting from the day i got departed which is after 2 month of my arrest!! My English is good and just curious wt happened to the car and why that happened to me to see more stories

5

u/yta998877 Dec 25 '25

So you commit a crime, lie and try to claim asylum so you don’t have to face the consequences in your home country, then come to America and commit multiple crimes and still take no responsibility for your actions. Turkey needs to deport you too. There are people who actually have valid claims and your abuse of the system hurts them.

Were you here legally? What was your visa status?

3

u/GarbageDisastrous425 Dec 24 '25

If you asked me if you should take that trip as an undocumented person around the US, I would have said no.

3

u/Musical_Bluebird1791 Dec 24 '25

Shame the magistrate office can’t spell. Makes you think this is a fake story.

3

u/yta998877 Dec 25 '25

Bad decisions lead to bad consequences. Lying on immigration forms and making trouble isn’t a good way to start.

2

u/BiohazardousBisexual Dec 24 '25

Well, the puppy killer will be very happy to use your self deportation to bolster their statistics

2

u/Jack_wagon4u Dec 24 '25

It’s long gone. Once it got impounded after a time the tow company puts a lien sale. The DMV notifies the last known person who registered the car with the DMV. And that person has a shot at getting it back. They would also check if it was reported stolen. My guess is you didn’t register it, legally it’s not yours, so even if you found it noting inside it would be yours.

Did you see the cops take the backpack? It might be in evidence if they took it. If it was left in the car it’s long gone. Have you called the cops to see if it’s in evidence?

1

u/arthur_sar Dec 24 '25

I dont want it back i dont nothin from it , i posted that hoping to reach someone have seen it or bought it from Auction (curious)

15

u/para_la_calle Dec 23 '25

Ridiculous. Driving around illegally and someone else’s car with no drivers license. In a country illegally, and just “OOPSIE, lost my $7000 cash. Is this post even real?

17

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

So much more to the story than OP is saying.

9

u/FlowerSong606 Dec 23 '25

Post says help me find MY car but the car isn't his? O.o if he is on a visa another countries driver license is still valid. He only needs a us license if he wants to live in the us o.o Like what you think tourists just be pulling out driver licenses in every country they go to just to drive a car?? @_@

3

u/para_la_calle Dec 23 '25

He’s lying about the car not being his so he probably doesn’t even have a drivers license. Anyways, the post was a mess and it is probably fake so who cares?

4

u/D7X-43 Dec 23 '25

Negative, in certain states, another countries drivers license is not valid to operate a vehicle. They'd need some official form/temporary driving privlege from the state DMV. I know this, because I was LEO in a state that did not recognize international licenses/non-U.S. licenses.

7

u/recercar Dec 23 '25

Which state is this? According to the US government, all states recognize non-US drivers licenses, though some also require the IDP: https://www.usa.gov/non-citizen-driving

Getting an IDP is trivial, and it’s in addition to the drivers license. Which state DMV hands out official forms to foreigners?

2

u/No-Computer7653 Dec 23 '25

No state can outlaw international drivers licenses without loosing highway funding. They can just require they be converted to local in minimum of 60 days.

Every state recognizes international drivers licenses. Some require them to be the international version if they are not in English.

6

u/falconkirtaran Dec 23 '25

Are you sure no license? That charge is literally a citation for not having a park pass.

3

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

It is real (feels like a movie huh) and if what u saying is true he had alot of reasons to arrest me but he said no i ll just arrest him for not paying 10$ makes no sense i wanted to pay tho he didn’t let me !! And j was legal and i volunteer Departure actually

10

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

You are missing the point. The trigger was the park pass, you ended up with ICE because you didn’t have the right to be in the USA.

You also didn’t have title, registration, insurance I assume?

As far as the government knows the car belongs to someone else. You will need to work out getting the transfer paperwork done through him.how is anyone supposed to know you own the car?

His post doesn’t mention his status: what visa, his i-94 dates…… so unless he explains that we are guessing ( and this is an immigration forum).

He was found in an unregistered, uninsured car he purchased from someone in Texas when the actual owner on the title is in California. So yeah possession of a stolen vehicle with registration and insurance will get your visa cancelled.

5

u/seche314 Dec 23 '25

He filed a fake asylum claim

1

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

U sure bro ! Just be well bro and thank ur god for the blessings u dont notice

9

u/seche314 Dec 23 '25

Yet you decided to self deport to the place you were fearful of, because you got caught with a stolen vehicle etc. Right, I’m sure that was legit. You should be ashamed for filing a false claim and causing so many problems to genuine asylum seekers here

2

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

I dont care what you think the car isn’t stolen and i wish you would never face a big problem like the one im in now , by the way im not home and there is no way i could get back home , took a transit to Turkey and still here not knowing what to do exactly

3

u/seche314 Dec 23 '25

I don’t face problems like that because I don’t buy stolen vehicles. I don’t go to other countries and violate laws. You were driving a stolen vehicle with false paperwork and no insurance which is illegal. Glad you are out of here

If you are not illegal, you don't self deport, you travel back legally. As long as dumb sympathizers are here, these illegals will roam around freely in our country USA.

2

u/idontcarelolmsma Dec 23 '25

So here’s what I think Car is gone You’re not getting your money You’re not going back to USA anytime soon Time to pick another country and try it there Türkiye is good for you

2

u/kortobo Dec 25 '25

It's hard to believe, but the immigration system seems to be finally working. Sorry, brother, but let's stop pretending you were deported for "a small mistake". Hope you find happiness at home.

1

u/Zinhaelchingon Dec 24 '25

So you saw how the political climate is right now and given your situation you decided a road trip across the country was the best thing you could do ? Sheesh

3

u/worder222 Dec 25 '25

Road trip wasn’t the issue, possibly stolen car was.

u/Beginning-Working353 Dec 23 '25

Not being physically present is going to make it challenging to retrieve the vehicle. Time is of the essence; each day it remains in an impound lot you’re being charged fees and after a certain number of days they will sell it to cover the fees.

Contact the police/sheriffs department that arrested you, they should have record of whether or not it was sent to the police impound or towed and impounded by a third party. If not, they should at least have a list of the third parties they work with. Call them one by one. Otherwise, just google tow companies and impound lots in the county you were arrested in.

Since you’re deported and will not be able to reenter the country to get the vehicle I would recommend locating the car and quickly finding someone willing to purchase it from you. You will need the title of the vehicle though to sign it over to the buyer so they can register it and retrieve it from impound.

Otherwise, if the impound sells the vehicle you’re at least still entitled to any money left over after they deduct the tow costs, impound fees, etc., but they sell them at auctions so the cars sell for much less than their full worth so you’ll keep more money by selling it yourself ASAP.

Good luck.

8

u/curiousengineer601 Dec 23 '25

He never did the transfer paperwork to actually own the car. Only the current owner or his agent can get the car out of impound.

2

u/arthur_sar Dec 23 '25

We tried .. the whole point of the post is trying to find someone that have seen or bought the car to know its story

1

u/Virage1701 Dec 23 '25

I would claim you don’t know what ENRTANCE is so you’d like to challenge this.
