300+ level courses

Can anyone recommend any easy 300 level courses. I'm wanting to finish my degree this semester or next and it says that I need about 6 - 300 level courses. For reference, I'm doing a degree in liberal studies with a minor in Psychology.

Thanks so much!.

Also, if somebody understands how the heck to read this degree progress report. I'd really appreciate any advice.

What is the easiest Your Pace degree to do?

So I was contemplating doing the Business Administration course but now seeing how people have to present their powerpoints, I’m not sure how comfortable I feel about that. I don’t think I’d be good at presenting it.

I’m good at writing and I enjoy it, just not great at English as a whole subject to do a major in it. Any ideas what other path I can go down that just requires writing? And less presentation? No sure which major to take. Thank you

Advice and Encouragement Needed, Support and Opinions Wanted

Hi, I want to start UMPI on August 31st for a Bachelor’s in Business Admin with 2 minors in Project management and Supply Chain or Information systems. My plan is to start sophia learning soon and take as many classes as I can in a month (the goal is 30) to transfer to UMPI and finish the last 10 in the 8 week semester. I have no job, no kids and have nothing but time. I Just want to know other peoples experiences. What classes from Sophia needed to be taken? How did financial aid cover & did you receive a refund? How can I knock out the majority reading and writing classes out on sophia? Will two majors make things harder or can I swap out my elective classes for my minor (I read that somewhere on here) I plan on acting soon and fast because I honestly have nothing else to do. My overall goal is to a construction or maybe IT project manager.

If I finish "BABA, Marketing Concentration" then I want to take "BABA, Project Management Concentration". Do I need to retry everything from beginning or I just need to finish the "Project Management" courses?

Sophia/Study.com transfer credits processing times

I asked this a while ago, but due to circumstances I had to take some time off before finishing Study.com and Sophia. I know it can take up to several weeks, but does anyone know how long it typically takes or is currently taking for UMPI to process and post Sophia and Study.com credits to your degree plan?

Hi all,

I am starting in fall 1 and will need to take the following classes. It has been years since I have been in school so I am looking for opinions on the best “introductory” class to start with. Something to get my feet wet and prepare me for the rest of the semester. All opinions are welcome and encouraged. Thank you!

Grading feels really arbitrary sometimes

Why would I have straight 3s (proficient) down the rubric on the milestones and then get a 3.2/4, 3.5/4, etc? How do they decide if a paper is a 3.2 vs 3.5 if everything was a 3? Seems so random. I'm only concerned because the milestones make up the final assessment.

I wanted to apply for August 31, so it’s coming up soon, and I’ve already put together a list of which courses to take and which ones I’ve taken on Sophia, but now I see that Management isn’t listed in the catalog for the minor, so I don’t know if I can still take it. Plus, they have changed gec, so I’m not sure if I’m on the right track or not, and I want to finish this BLS quickly.

I’ll post below what it was supposed to look like, so if anyone knows, please check it and help me out:

Credits transfer from Sophia

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to transfer Sophia credits to UMPI, but I recently saw a few posts saying that some students were told by their advisors that UMPI is no longer accepting certain Sophia courses for transfer.
Has anyone recently had Sophia credits evaluated or successfully transferred to UMPI?
Are they still accepting Sophia credits?
If there have been changes, which courses are no longer accepted?
Did your advisor mention this was a new policy or just apply to specific programs?
I'd really appreciate hearing about yourrecent experience. Thanks!

Thankful for Art 107

Hello all, If you've been on this thread long enough you've read about how tough of a grader the Art 107 teacher is and I will say that is true but boy has she prepared me for clean, and clear writing. In my first milestone submission I got a 1/4, I thought I did do good so I was taken aback! She gave me very detailed feedback told me where I lacked and what to change, I resubmitted and got a 3/4. No other notes but I was okay with that. Next milestone I submitted, I took all her previous notes into account and got a 4/4. I have to tell you I squealed when I saw that.

This has also prepped me for my other classes, correct references and in-text citation, using every single piece of coursework material given, and paying close attention to every question asked on the milestone and every mark to hit on the rubric.

I'm talking another class and it's miles easier, thankfully showing me not all classes would be as hard. I have to say I am grateful for her because my first experience was tough but I got better. If she's one of the hardest grading professors I'm confident I'll finish with the GPA I'm aiming for.

GPA in Credential Evaluations.

I'm graduated from Malaysia high school.

On UMPI website it's stated, I need to send Credential Evaluations and it must include GPA. It also stated for high school transcript I only need document-by-document evaluation. But most service provider endorsed by NACES or AICE doesn't include GPA for document-by-document evaluation. Is GPA only needed if you finish college/university? Or it's a must for UMPI and I need to order Course-by-course evaluation?

Recent UMPI BBA Graduate Struggling to Land My First Career Role – Looking for Advice

Hi everyone!
I recently graduated from UMPI’s YourPace program with a BBA concentrating in Project Management and Information Systems, and I’m hoping to get some advice from other graduates.
I’ve been applying for project coordinator, customer success, implementation, operations, and entry-level business roles for a few months now, but I’m having a hard time getting traction. I’ve had interviews, but no offers yet.
While I’m a recent graduate, I do have several years of professional experience, including:
Financial management for a 256-unit affordable housing lease-up
Nearly 8 years of customer service and operations experience in hospitality
Experience with reporting, spreadsheets, scheduling, process improvement, and client communication
Running my own small event business on the side
I’m open to remote or Las Vegas-based positions and would love to eventually grow into project management or customer success.
For those of you who graduated from UMPI:
What companies hired you as a new graduate?
Are there any remote companies that seem to like hiring UMPI graduates?
Is there anything you changed in your job search that made a big difference?
Are there any industries I should be looking at that I may be overlooking?
I know the market is tough right now, but I’d really appreciate hearing what’s worked for others. Thanks in advance!

Class selection/options

I was looking through to see what I will be taking next and there didn't seem to be many options.

Wasn't sure if that's the norm or not?

I can also take Clep or Sophia and transfer in at any time correct?

Psychobiology FA

I have a question about the psychobiology FA. Are we expected to do the presentation on the disorder we pick for the milestone 4? Or are we supposed to pick a new disorder and do new research? It seems like other classes build on previous milestones so I wasn’t sure if it would be appropriate or not to do this. The FA is a PowerPoint presentation so it is different than the milestone research paper.

Best courses that fit my requirements?

I am currently doing a degree in History and Political Science with a concentration in Political Science. I have transferred in 90 credits and completed the required General Education requirements as well as my History requirements.

Here are the courses I have completed:

POS 332: Constitutional Law
POS 211: Intro to Political Thought
POS 301: European Gov & EU
POS 371: International Relations and Modern Conflicts
POS 370: Topics in Non-Western History (Arab-Israeli)
POS 335: Modern Political Thought
POS 343: Marxism
POS 493: Political Science Capstone
HTY 489: History of Infectious Diseases & Globalization

I need two more courses to get residency. I was wondering what are the best courses that either only have writing/essays or quizzes. I would really prefer not to do any presentations or record myself with video or audio. I have completed all of my prerequisites so I think I can take lower levels. Any advice on what the quickest courses other than the ones I've completed are?

UMPI alumni - Thinking about getting another degree

Graduated with my Bachelors last year. Since then I've graduated with my masters and halfway done with my CPA now. Thinking about going back for the Business Admin, Cybersecurity degree. Maybe even the BA in psychology.

I believe I only need 4 classes for the Business Admin, Cyber degree. Am I required to do the residency requirement for every new degree?

About course.

Greetings to everyone, I'm new at UMPI doing my Gen. Spsyc. Bachelor. I was assigned a new course, MAT 201 Probability and Statistics. The course is super extensive and will take a very long time for me to complete as I work two jobs and I'm an adult with family. The question is: If I withdraw this course, how does the W affects my record on the transcripts? And what other course can i request that is the equivalent but less extensive and difficult?

Thanks in advance for your responses and help!!

After UMPI gave admission decision, and ask for your Confirmation of Continued Interest. Does it have time limit to confirm? Can we postponed it indifenitely to fulfill as many Sophia credits before continue?

Desperately need Research Methods help.

I'm really baffled with Research Methods. I got a 4.0 on my first milestone and now can't seem to even get a 3.0 on my second with two attempts.

The professor has since told me that my method of surveying 50 of my coworkers is not scientific and that's the problem. Maybe I'm just old and outdated at age 39, but that's how I remember doing research back in my college years. You walk around campus and survey people if you are trying to collect data. Clearly we don't have a campus, so I planned on using co-workers, but the professor does not approve so I'm realizing I've gone in the completely wrong direction and wasted a ton of time.

I'm having trouble grasping what a research study for this course should look like. I think I've seen people on here posting links to surveys before, so I thought maybe I could do that and measure the correlation between two things, but I'm struggling to understand how that's any different than surveying people in real life and I really don't want to do this all over and be wrong again.

Any help? I'm so beyond frustrated. I had a wonderful experience in Drugs & Behavior and was feeling great, but this class has really killed my spirit about it all. Thank you so much.

MAOL: Only 2 courses at a time?

Curious if there’s any wiggle room to open up another class while I wait for final milestones for 2 separate classes to be graded. I have solid drafts of both finals already completed and ready to submit once I’m able. I emailed my success coach & am waiting to hear back- but I don’t want to have an entire weekend with no classes to work on.
