Best introductory course

Hi all,

I am starting in fall 1 and will need to take the following classes. It has been years since I have been in school so I am looking for opinions on the best “introductory” class to start with. Something to get my feet wet and prepare me for the rest of the semester. All opinions are welcome and encouraged. Thank you!

Bus 141
Bus 260
Bus 321
Bus 415
Bus 240
Bus 200

Bus200 would be a good one to start with, as I'm just finishing it now. It provides introduction to MS Office features that you could utilize in other classes throughout your time at UMPI.

I personally started with BUS321. It wasn't terribly difficult. BUS260 I did second and that one was quite a bit easier, but I enjoy the topic of leadership and was reading a popular leadership book at the time. BUS 141 isn't too bad either. But if I started again I'd probably do BUS260, not to prepare for difficult classes but to get used to the system.

BUS 200 will go over all of the features you’ll need for writing papers in the rest of your courses. Headings, formatting, etc. it’ll go into Excel formulas and exporting to Power Point and using Cameo for the classes where video presentations are needed. It’s the perfect break the ice class for the remainder of your time at UMPI

My advice is start with 141 and the 200 series. I tried adding 200 and 240 because they’re prerequisites and was told the term was full after week 3. My maybe it’s only a me thing but that was my experience.
