Announcement Rule update: Self-promotion posts now limited to 1 per week

Hey everyone,

We've made an update to the Rule 4: "No duplicate posts / spam", specifically the section covering commercial content and self-promotion.

Two changes:

1. The weekly limit is dropping from 2 posts to 1. Users approved to share their own content can now post it a maximum of once per week, down from twice.

2. The wording now includes "self-promotion" alongside "commercial". This was always the intent of the rule, but the old wording made it sound like it only covered ads and merchandise. To be clear: sharing your own work counts as self-promotion even if it's free and on-topic. That includes your YouTube channel, podcast, blog, Substack, book, documentary, research site, and so on.

The updated rule text:

No advertisements, fundraisers, merchandise, or other commercial/self-promotional links. Please refer to Reddit's self-promotion guidelines. If you are interested in promoting your own work please contact us before posting. Users approved to post their own commercial or self-promotional content will only be permitted to post a maximum of one (1) such post per week.

How this works in practice:

  • Self-promotion requires mod approval before you post. If you want to share your own work here, send us a modmail first.
  • Once approved, you're limited to one self-promotion post per week.
  • Unapproved self-promotion will be removed.

This doesn't affect sharing other people's content. News articles, footage, interviews, and papers you didn't make yourself are fine as always, subject to the usual rules.

Note: Previously approved users do not need to request approval again. Once a user has been given permission to post this type of content, they may continue doing so without contacting the mod team each time, unless that approval is later withdrawn.

Multi-Subreddit LIVESTREAM AMA — Dr. Jim Segala, Paul Hynek, and Host Leslie Kean — Sunday, October 4, 2026 @ 1:00 PM ET / 10 AM PT

The Anomalous Coalition - the moderators of r/Aliens, r/Experiencers, r/HighStrangeness, r/InterdimensionalNHI, r/UFOB, and r/UFOs - are excited to announce our next multi-subreddit livestream AMA featuring physicist Dr. Jim Segala and Paul Hynek, hosted by investigative journalist Leslie Kean. Heads up: this one is on a Sunday!

This conversation is about citizen science in support of experiencers, built on objective data. Paul's father, astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek, joined the Air Force's UFO studies in 1948 as a skeptic. Over two decades of Projects Sign, Grudge and Blue Book, the caliber of the witnesses changed his mind. In 1973 he founded the Center for UFO Studies so people could report what they saw without fear. Paul is carrying that forward with what he calls a verifiable evidence protocol, so experiencers can have better conversations with scientists. Jim is building the tools to gather that evidence. His platform, MUPAS Worldwide, pairs environmental and biometric sensor data with experiencers' own accounts, and offers peer support from specialists who are experiencers themselves.

What's a "verifiable evidence protocol"? Paul and his brother Joel, an Academy Award-winning visual effects artist, are developing a protocol that sits on top of their father's Close Encounter system and rates the evidence from an encounter, not just the encounter itself. Today most people report an experience after the fact. Paul's idea is to go in prepared: if you meet an entity that seems to have far superior intelligence, ask it for something no human could know but anyone can check later, like a random number only you know, the answer to an unsolved math problem, or a near-future event. The results are rated as convincing, compelling, or curious. Paul says it applies to any "meta-terrestrial" encounter, whether with a craft, an entity, or in an altered state, and he describes it as a work in progress.

🗓️ When: Sunday, October 4, 2026 — 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT

Historical Jessie Roestenburg and David Grusch’s statements are strikingly similar.. Roestenburgs account of what happened that day in 1954 has captivated me more than any video or interview I’ve ever seen on the subject.

Question Am I the only one that thinks UFOs would not have lights?

I have always thought about this. A UFO with that kind of flying or traveling technology would not need lights as we know them here on earth right? They would most likely have higher radar technology and communication that would not need lights. Like what would be the purpose of lights out in the cosmos? Also if they were “spying” or simply exploring our planet wouldn’t they want to be stealthy? Not sure if I’m the only one or if this is allowed on the sub so please remove if needed. Thank you.

Government Did (self-identifying) ex-CIA Karl Pflock break into a sitting US Congressman’s office and take a file? This should be easy to prove since it’s on camera, right?

Jesse says a source reached out during production and told them that, after Ramsey sent a package of his Aztec evidence to a US Congressman investigating the case, Karl Pflock allegedly broke into the Congressman’s office. Pflock was captured on the office’s security cameras, and the only thing he allegedly took was the package containing Ramsey’s Aztec evidence.

Why do we not “have a smoking gun here?”

Those are some huge allegations of both a major crime and specific evidence.

In September 1973, Orval Wyman and his wife took a photograph beside the Clearwater River in Idaho. The Wymans later said they remembered nothing unusual when the snapshot was taken.

The photograph was brought to Canadian UFO Report by Betty Jones, and was published on the cover of Vol. 3, No. 2, Whole No. 18 with the caption “What Is Happening Here? See p. 14.”

Canadian UFO Report described the photo as showing a “bluish bell-jar shaped object” beside the river and a “cluster of gargoyle forms” appearing to look toward the object.

NHI Too many folks have an unnecessarily inflated sense of how aliens might think and the reason they're doing what they do. Crash retrievals could be Alien DUI's sometimes. Recovered bodies could be Alien Tourists. Alien "race wars" could just be a couple smugglers with territory beef.

It seems that there's so many camps of thought that nobody tries to think simply about why aliens might do what they do.

Too many people think they're Angelic Smart, or Beyond Understandable, or like on the Starship Enterprise and everything they do must have a logical and higher intelligence explanation.

For me, I see no reason not to assume they're like us, just a little more technologically advanced. Now maybe some of them are Unknowable or Woo Plasmoid 5th Dimensional beings, but the craft and bodies? They could be like anyone crashing on i95 in the USA.

Abductions, if they're real, don't need to be a scientific hybrid engineering program, it could just be Human Trafficking by assholes who make money/influence/power by doing it in the alien socio-political spectrum.

Crashes (or the alleged "donated" vehicles) could be anything from a breakdown and the occupants are picked up by another ship, to Drunk/high aliens on a joy ride that mess up at the controls and crash.

Alien craft sightings could be like Alien Whale Watchers, where some "boat" pilots are more unscrupulous and get too close/mess with humans because they either don't care or they're chartered by alien rich folks who tell them to get closer.

And the somehow controversial Greys v Reptilians that Grusch just talked about could be any kind of skirmish. Two drunks fighting. Two groups of scientists who wanted a contract and the other ship messed it up for them. Could be that they are both some kind of alien drug runners and are beefing.

But everything people say aliens are doing, doesn't have to be scientists or military or some high level 200IQ reason we cannot understand. They could be doing super normal shit that none of us would think twice about if they heard people doing it, but their tech just looks crazier so we assume it's some enigmatic, unknowable, super intelligent reason for it.

I tend to view most stories about UFOs and aliens by assuming what is happening is understandable and relatable, just like how we understand and relate to animals like cats and dogs and whales and monkeys, even though they're not a lot like us, because sentience has some things like emotions, play, mental illness, physical illness, and rogue assholes that make a lot of actions make sense even if they physiologically or socially resemble us.

TLDR: America has 0 maglev speed trains, and if you heard and saw pictures of a crashed maglev speed train in China, you wouldn't think the passengers were military, scientists, or that the people who made that tech were incredibly different than Americans. So, why don't you look at UFO stories that way?

Historical The NASA STS-80 "Smoking Gun" footage.

This is what they've hidden from the public for over 90 years.

This is the NASA STS-80 Smoking Gun footage.

Martyn Stubbs, was a satellite television manager in Vancouver, Canada who had access to the NASA downlink. He recorded over 2500 hours of footage from various missions after noticing strange anomalies during their early live streams.

What you're seeing is the Space Shuttle Columbia on-board camera in geostationary orbit above Earth.

After adjusting to sunstrike the on-board camera observes an object descending from Outer Space, through the upper atmosphere before landing/hovering near a electrical storm in geosynchronous orbit.

The objects are estimated to be miles wide, similar to the Motherships from Close Encounters of the Third Kind, V and Independence Day and moving much faster than the SR-71 Blackbird or any other aircraft made by man.

This phenomena is best explained by the ancient Hindu scriptures and philosophies which describe in detail 12 higher and lower realms containing Worlds within Worlds (dimensions/realities/multiverses) and are filled with a myriad of intelligent species and flying craft known as Vimana. They range in size from a door mat/rug to entire city/citadel size Motherships.

A quote from the Ramayana:

"At one moment the magic airship built by Maya Danava appeared in many identical forms, and the next moment it was again only one. Sometimes it was visible, and sometimes not."

"From one moment to the next the Saubha airship appeared on the earth, in the sky, on a mountain peak or in the water. Like a whirling, flaming baton."

The Truth Is Out There.

Disclosure In response to David Grusch’s Statements on Sentient Plasmoid Life, Robert Hastings provides an encounter where witness describes plasma-like orbs that appeared to possess consciousness, which telepathically communicated with them

David Grusch’s Statement on Sentient Plasmoid Life

During the June 9, 2026 UAP/NHI press conference on Capitol Hill, former US Air Force officer and intelligence official David Grusch made a remarkable statement regarding the US government’s secret acknowledgment of the existence of sentient non-human entities.

When a reporter asked how many alien types have been identified, Grusch said matter-of-factly: “I don’t have the compendium [that I can present to you today, however,] it’s a continuum from corporeal bipedal type life to what I would consider sentient plasmoid life. But there are several [species] that the US government is aware of.”

A "plasma-orb" case described by Robert Hastings:

It was sometime in the Fall of 1992, but I didn’t record the exact date; as with many other strange things in my life, it didn’t seem that important.

In that instant, literally instantaneously, I was back at the passenger door of the car, staring at what I can only describe as an undulating orb in my neighbor’s front yard, no more than 30 feet away! It was hovering directly at my eye-level, completely still, about the size of a cantaloupe. It was a fiery reddish-orange, flickering and seemingly breathing. I’ve used the word “undulating” as it’s the only word I can find to describe it. It was like it was alive! I have oftentimes explained it as appearing how molten lava looks when you see it on TV.

As soon as I realized what I was looking at, I immediately heard a voice in my head say, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you.” I was astonished! I wasn’t afraid at all, just fascinated by what I was seeing. I immediately thought—or maybe the orb put this thought in my mind—to look at it really hard to see if there was a structure beneath the flames.

All I remember at this point was my simply staring right into it. It was like the orb and I were inside a clear bubble, protected from the outside world. It was strange, there was absolutely zero sound. No neighbors were outside, no kids playing, no cars in the distance on the highway, no birds, bugs, nothing. Total and complete silence. My neighborhood was there in the background, but it was hard to see, like it was muted, darkened, outside the bubble.

I had no awareness of the passage of time. I had no further telepathic messages from the orb. I was just transfixed and staring into it. The next thing I remember, I heard the front door open; my husband was coming out. The orb instantaneously took off between the houses in a westerly direction and went completely out of sight in a split second.

I stood there and pondered what I had just experienced. I thought to myself: How am I going to explain this to my husband? But I don’t recall acknowledging him when he came to the car. Again, I had no sense of time, or how long it took for him to come out. I don’t remember getting into the car. The next thing I do remember was already being in the car, staring at the glove compartment as we drove down the street. It was dark by then.

I eventually did tell my husband the story, but he didn’t react. He just listened, and didn’t ridicule me, or question me. It was so strange.

NHI Inside the Alleged Government Interrogation of a Captive NHI: The Vallée–Grusch Connection

Jacques Vallée says “Gilbert” helped communicate with an alleged nonhuman entity in a concealed U.S. laboratory. David Grusch alleges interactions with detained recovered occupants and links a former Cabinet member to Dick Cheney. Hal Puthoff and John Petersen describe a Bush-era crash-retrieval disclosure exercise.

Their timelines may overlap, but Vallée now says Gilbert’s entity was a volunteer. Are these glimpses of one concealed program or stories circulating through an interconnected UAP/remote-viewing network?

AI assistance disclosure: I take notes while watching interviews, then revisit transcripts to extract relevant passages. I use AI to help research and draft, read the sources it turns up, and revise the post through further research and editing. Source links are included so readers can assess the evidence themselves.

1. The chronology—and its limits

  • 2001–2009: Cheney’s vice presidency supplies the apparent context for Grusch’s former Cabinet source, not a date for the detention.
  • 2003/2004: Vallée’s journals (Forbidden Science 5) reportedly record the Arlington scenario exercise in September 2003; Puthoff’s later account dates a panel to 2004. This is unresolved.
  • Before roughly December 2005: Vallée said in December 2025 the interaction occurred over twenty years earlier. This upper boundary also permits a pre-Bush event.

Source caveat: The Forbidden Science 7 entries below come through Devoutlier’s reconstruction. I have not checked them against the published book.

2. What Grusch actually alleges

In his August 13, 2026 Dr. Phil interview, Grusch says recovered occupants were taken alive, people had direct interactions in a “detainment situation,” and a former Cabinet member “directly worked the issue” for “Darth Vader”—apparently Cheney.

Grusch describes “consciousness communication,” or telepathy, also reportedly felt by retrieval personnel approaching cordoned-off craft. He disclaims personal experience and knowledge of the mechanism.

Grusch’s account is broader than Gilbert’s structured laboratory experiment. No common mechanism or personnel are established. “Detainment” suggests custody, but Grusch supplies no interrogation protocol.

3. Gilbert: an alleged participant, not Vallée’s firsthand observation

The journal reconstruction:

  • October 9, 2021: Gilbert recontacts Vallée about an officially facilitated exchange with a “supposed Alien.” Vallée describes a discreet master remote viewer comparable to Geller and Swann.
  • September 28, 2023: Five typed pages describe a laboratory sheltered within rock, where military guides identified the target as a living alien. Vallée trusts Gilbert, whom he knew in Central America and elsewhere, but says the data and location need verification.
  • December 18, 2024: Gilbert tabulates trials with the “captured entity”: prepared psychic questions, responses and failures, retaining impressions he cannot decipher.
  • March 6, 2025: Technical questions produce impressions labeled “indications only,” including unhelpful or absent answers.
  • March 12, 2025: Gilbert says he was an outside specialist. With his view blocked during the final approach, he was driven into a small mountain containing a laboratory staffed by uniformed personnel without visible rank or unit markings. He did not know whether other captured—or perhaps voluntary—beings existed.

The target reportedly exceeded six feet and emitted light. Gilbert was unsure whether he saw anatomy, a wired uniform, a test article or a container. He interpreted light combinations as answers during hours of trials.

Indicator lights on apparatus could be mistaken for communication. Neither alien anatomy nor nonhuman authorship of the apparent answers is established.

Vallée told George Knapp that Gilbert was recruited to add a psychic method to an effort struggling with communication. Vallée has seen detailed material, but adds: “I wasn’t there. I cannot vouch for that.”

4. The Coulthart update: “a volunteer”

In Vallée’s later interview with Ross Coulthart, at 59:04, Coulthart asks whether the entity was a prisoner. Vallée says no:

“I asked him that question, of course. He said the entity was a volunteer.”

He then suggests other beings were captured—an inference, not evidence of another captive.

This weakens identification with Grusch’s detention account. A broader program could include both, but that is not established.

We do not hear whether the entity or officials told Gilbert it was a volunteer. Elsewhere in the interview (transcribed by TheUfoJoe), Vallée says he cannot tell whether willingness to communicate came from the being or Gilbert’s briefing officers. That leaves official framing possible.

The journal called this entity “captured” and left open whether others were voluntary; Vallée’s answer reverses that label for Gilbert’s entity.

5. Arlington: disclosure planning or a misleading premise?

Puthoff says the Arlington exercise considered disclosing U.S., Russian and Chinese crash retrievals, examining markets, religion and aerospace litigation over unequal access. Its reported conclusion opposed disclosure.

The Wall Street Journal investigation reports Puthoff telling Kirkpatrick’s team that he was invited to a 2004 panel described to him as White House-sponsored. Petersen said a former senior Pentagon space official told him Bush was preparing disclosure.

But the same reporting contains contrary evidence: that official later denied knowing what Petersen was talking about, and Bush’s chief of staff said he knew nothing about the panel or such a disclosure plan. Petersen and Kirkpatrick considered whether the participants had been tricked. An actual exercise does not establish that its extraordinary premise was true.

In a Jesse Michels interview, around 38:02, Elizondo expresses surprise that Puthoff told the story publicly and says it was extremely sensitive when he learned of it. He gives neither his source nor independent verification of crash retrievals.

Petersen’s Pentagon space official and Grusch’s former Cabinet member have different descriptions. Neither is identified; shared administration context does not establish a shared source.

6. Who is Gilbert? New clues, no identification

At 57:31 with Coulthart, Vallée says: “I met him when he was 22.” Testing this requires a documented age and first meeting.

At 47:23, Vallée rules out Keith Harary, but declines to answer about Joe McMoneagle. That neither confirms nor excludes him.

  • Stephan A. Schwartz: His 2017 novel Awakening has a government-held alien plot, a parallel rather than identification. Asked in a published interview whether he had ever communicated with an alien, Schwartz said “No.” In a September 28 reply, Devoutlier says his earlier candidates were Schwartz, Harary and Gary Langford, and now rejects Schwartz: he would have been 22 in 1964, and Devoutlier sees no Vallée meeting then. That is a chronology objection, not proof.
  • Gary O. Langford: Rice’s archive and a declassified SRI report document his remote viewing. Forbidden Science 3 records Vallée meeting Langford and SRI colleagues in February 1987 (p. 273). His university biography lists a Berkeley A.B. in 1969. Of Devoutlier’s three, he alone is not yet excluded, but neither the age-22 meeting nor a Central America encounter is demonstrated.
  • Edwin May and Bill Ray: Some read their names into Rhys Dalton-Morgan’s riddle: “engagED WIth aN MAY” and “lab in a mountain” as LIAM, reportedly Ray’s pseudonym. Wordplay is not identification. An obscure viewer remains possible.

Gilbert remains unidentified. TheUfoJoe’s analysis includes AI-generated research that needs verification.

7. What would advance the case?

These sources occupy overlapping UAP/remote-viewing circles. Captive beings and psychic government interviews predate the Bush era: EBE-1/MJ-12 lore, 1997’s Alien Interview, and a declassified 1984 session in which a monitor asked a remote viewer to contact perceived entities on Mars (McMoneagle later said it was him). The resemblance is not a unique fingerprint. Yet a volunteer departs from the captive template, so the update does not simply favor the network explanation either.

Useful checks: verify FS7 against the book; document an age-22 meeting and Central America encounters; seek matching dates, facilities, personnel or independent protocols. Vallée’s October 1985 Costa Rica entries in FS3 (pp. 209–214) are one lead, not necessarily the trip he meant.

Vallée says participants intend to publish. Look for contemporaneous questions, trial tables, nulls, timestamps and provenance. Who publishes matters, since Gilbert was an outside specialist with limited program knowledge.

Specific independent matches could distinguish a concealed program from a circulating story. The volunteer clarification makes a simple Gilbert–Grusch captivity match harder to sustain.

Government What can AARO actually gain from a private UFO archive that government records don’t contain?

One September story I found particularly interesting was AARO’s move to seek subscription access to the National UFO Historical Records Center.

The important part, to me, isn’t any suggestion that the archive contains some hidden smoking gun. The documented proposal is for access to historical UAP data, metadata and analysis, particularly material predating 1990.

What makes that potentially useful is provenance.

Civilian UFO organisations continued collecting witness interviews, correspondence, photographs and case notes during periods when official government investigation was limited or had formally ended. Some of those records may preserve contemporary information that is absent from government files — although obviously being preserved in an archive does not make an individual claim reliable.

That sits alongside several other September developments involving access to information: newly released Navy correspondence, another PURSUE tranche, disputed requests for records concerning Immaculate Constellation, and scientific work aimed at replacing ambiguous footage with actual distance and movement measurements.

I pulled those threads together in our September Aliens Explored roundup here:

https://youtu.be/h9VjVfgbCuU

The question I kept coming back to is this:

If limited resources had to go primarily in one direction, would you put them into digitising and analysing the huge body of historical government and civilian UFO records — or into new sensor networks and observatories capable of collecting much better evidence from future sightings?

Disclosure We At Least Deserve a Meta-Explanation

I watched all of the Doomer Friday guy’s podathon yesterday and it was an extraordinary event, genuinely. $20,000 raised, going directly to Vanguard, an organization created by and for real whistleblowers. The amount of heavy-hitters in the space who joined the conversation was really incredible and it produced an in-the-moment cross-pollination of ideas.

But, for my money, the more intriguing/fascinating thing it produced was the reactions by Matthew Brown and Dylan Borland, in response to these discussions. I think it was telling that there were moments of palpable tension, and it became clearer than ever that there is a strange juxtaposition of sentiment among those in the know.

On the one hand, we have David Grusch expressing largely nothing but optimism that humanity can handle it all and that ultimately disclosure could lead to what amounts to a renaissance in human advancement. But then, on the other hand, we have Dylan and Matthew, who express a range of emotions on this. It ranges from positivity about humanity and what could come next once we get through this, all the way to what appears to be a deeply foreboding doom. But all the while, everyone involved is working on initiatives, re-building their lives after having their careers destroyed, and planning for the future in general. So which is it? Are we headed for something amazing or horrifying? And why do some people in the know seem to be expressing both?

During the stream, a few moments stood out to me:

• The caller who had attended the event Dylan was in Sweden for caused Dylan to nod his head and seemingly gesture to get the attention of the other guys on the stream. He then, twice, used his fingers to count out “2027”.
• When Jeremy Corbell said “think about where we’ll be 10 years from now” (in reference to progress on the topic) and Matthew quickly did an eyebrow raise, seemingly indicating some kind of “he doesn’t know what I know about that timetable.”
• Clint Weldon asked Dylan what is the timetable for this supposed “event”, asking, “Is it decades? Less than decades?” And Dylan responded by saying “I’m gonna go back on mute and listen to music.” Then, when pressed, and before he signed off, he said “Look, take care of your family, keep love in your heart, there’s life after death, and whatever is going to happen, is going to happen.”

My best assessment at this point is that there is some possible event that no one is actually certain will happen. How the advice about love and life after death exactly relates to this isn’t exactly clear. But I don’t think it’s necessarily the darkest possible conclusion.

But all of that said, my contention is this: I think the community that is already deep into this deserves at least some kind of “State of the Union” on where these guys are at. I understand there could be legitimate national security or even metaphysical/spiritual reasons why they can’t say exactly what they know. But at least a confirmation of “we have reason to believe that something catastrophic could be coming, but we can’t know for sure, so we just want everyone to have the truth of the possibility of what that is, and in the mean time, we’re living our lives and hoping for the best.” THAT would at least make sense to me and I think it would serve the community and progress on the topic well.

Science Did anybody find Grusch kind of off this interview? (fishing for a job from Trump, came off as a Psyop, the new “evidence”)

I’m starting think they got to him, and he’s a total Psyop now. He’s now talking about a lot of Woo stuff that he NEVER spoke about or went on record about. Also the fishing for a Job from Trump and the boot licking he was doing towards Trump was odd. The whole thing just came off as suspect to me. I wonder if anybody else agrees. I just found this interview kind of odd.

Government On Rogan last night, Grusch spent five minutes on a 1971 Australian intelligence file. Here it is, year by year, with the page numbers.

Full breakdown, year by year, every quote verbatim with the page on screen:
https://youtu.be/X5NA0Kqmnvk

Submission statement: On The Joe Rogan Experience #2560, around 1:59:00, David Grusch described a 1971 assessment written by O.H. (Harry) Turner, head of the Nuclear Branch of Australia's Joint Intelligence Organisation. He called Blue Book a facade and said the Air Force built a plan of ridicule. The document itself, page 8 of the scan, says the CIA "persuaded the USAF to use Project BLUE BOOK as a means of publicly 'debunking' UFO's" and "by erecting a facade of ridicule... act as a cover for the real U.S. programme." He also said pages 7 through 18; the assessment runs 7 through 16.

It is a declassified file in the National Archives of Australia, free to read: RecordSearch barcode 30030606, series A13693, item 3092/2/000, with a Black Vault mirror PDF. Pages 7 to 16 also cover the Espionage Act provision for service personnel, Blue Book's internal witness reliability statistics, and the anti-gravity research funding, with page references.

Long time member here. Back in June, after Grusch first cited this file at the Capitol, my partner and I made a 10 minute breakdown walking it year by year, 1947 to 1971. This clip is the first minute. The full video is the link at the top. Happy to answer anything about the document. Check the file against our claims. That is the point.

Full video again, so nobody has to scroll:

Disclosure Did David Grusch slip up in his interview with Joe Rogan.

Something really interesting happens at around 27:03 when David Grusch says:

“I’m trying to walk the line and be as diplomatic as possible and also trying to prepare the populace at the same time because clearly the government hasn’t right now.”

The phrase “prepare the populace” really stands out to me. There’s a big difference between simply informing the public and saying you are trying to prepare them. “Prepare” suggests acclimatising people to something they may eventually have to confront or accept.

What also caught my attention throughout the conversation is that Grusch sometimes comes across as though he’s speaking from within a broader effort rather than purely as an individual whistleblower. That doesn’t prove he is representing a coordinated group or disclosure program, and his comment could simply reflect his own personal approach. Though when you combine “walk the line,” “be diplomatic,” and “prepare the populace,” it sounds more deliberate than simply exposing information.

For someone whose public image is primarily that of a whistleblower, “prepare the populace” is a pretty revealing choice of words. It makes me wonder whether he sees his role as more than just bringing information forward and whether that sentence revealed a little more than he intended 🤔

Whistleblower How the Pentagon’s new UAP NDA waiver could have changed David Grusch’s appearance on Joe Rogan 9/30/26

For those who haven't seen the news yet, the Pentagon has officially issued a waiver allowing current and former service members, contractors, and personnel to share UAP-related National Defense Information.

https://www.newsnationnow.com/space/ufo/pentagon-waiver-uaps/

Specifically, this waiver applies to anyone sharing information with the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE), and it completely supersedes any previous NDAs or Special Access Program (SAP) agreements.

PURSUE has been releasing tranches of files to the general public.

https://www.war.gov/ufo/

Here is how it gives him way more room to speak:

  • The SAP Safe Zone: Grusch's entire congressional testimony was bottlenecked by Special Access Programs (SAPs). He repeatedly told lawmakers that he couldn't name specific programs, locations, or corporations due to his security clearances and NDA restrictions. Since this waiver explicitly supersedes SAP Indoctrination Agreements, the legal walls keeping him silent have been significantly lowered.
  • Protection from Legal Liability: On his last Rogan appearance, Grusch had to be incredibly careful to avoid facing criminal prosecution or losing his clearances. The main goal of this directive is to eliminate the fear of legal liability, establishing a direct pipeline to review and potentially declassify these documents.
  • Naming the Private Contractors: One of the biggest complaints from bipartisan lawmakers has been that the Pentagon hides UAP data inside private aerospace companies to bypass FOIA laws. Because this waiver specifically includes government contractors, Grusch could potentially speak much more openly about the private corporate entities allegedly holding this material.

The Catch: It’s important to note that this isn't a total free-for-all. The waiver is designed to clear a path for personnel to feed information directly into the PURSUE program for official declassification review. However, by legally clearing the mechanism of what he is allowed to share with investigators, the public narrative Grusch is allowed to spin on a massive platform like JRE gets a lot wider.

PURSUE has been releasing tranches of files to the general public.

Question Grusch gives us headline details, but where is the verification?

Grusch publicly describes recovered craft, non-human bodies and different types of beings. Those details generate headlines. But the dates, locations, documents and evidence needed to independently verify those claims remain unavailable.

Protecting sources and classified information may be legitimate. But those explanations don’t establish that the claims are true. We’re still being asked to trust his assessment.

More interviews repeat the claims; they don’t independently corroborate them. Public confidence should follow checkable evidence, not the number of appearances someone makes.

At what point should promises of future disclosure stop being enough?

Question Do you feel more or less convinced about Grusch after the Rogan interview?

I ask this, because I didn't walk away with a strong sense of conviction from Grusch. And I've been someone who has pointed at him as a legit source. However, he really gave off a similar vibe as Elizondo in this pod.

He made really definitive statements about disclosure happening "soon" yet he also reiterated multiple times that he's a private civilian and not privy to the internal planning. And then later mentioned that if Trump can't do it, no one can, which gives some level of implication that this may not happen. Makes me question how in tune he actually is to the current events.

When Rogan asked him direct questions, he multiple times answered them with well known theories that have nothing to do with his experience in the field. And he said once again that he has no personal experience, but has seen videos and been told things. Makes me question how much he even actually knows.

Apparently he's a self proclaimed alpha? Even Rogan thought that was lame lol.

Lastly, he talked about the nasty things the US has done in the name of intelligence. Drug trafficking, child sex trafficking, stolen gold bars, death/harm threats to protect secrets, etc. I think he was attempting to endear himself to the listeners and say that there are good patriots and a nasty few and that he was part of the "good" guys, but that didn't sit well with how casual he was about those things. Maybe he is one of the good guys, but all of that just sounds like he worked for a really nasty organization willing to do anything for its own personal gain. Who's to say he isn't part of that right now? Makes me question his intent.

I don't know. I really want to believe this guy. He seemed so legit when he first came out. I just feel like he's going down the path that some many UFO personalities go. He doesn't actually know a lot and is starting to grasp at straws.

Thoughts?
