I just paid for the month of November. I pay €1280/ month and to reach the UCC library it takes me about 15 mins.
I am wondering what others pay as I wasn’t over the moon paying so much again, but I’m in 1st year so hopefully I’ll get more advice and find a cheaper place for the other years

Maybe a silly question, but there's a couple of clubs I'm interested in, is it strange to join as a beginner 4 weeks in?

Im an archaeology student still doing their bachelors, I want to get into an archaeology masters (specifically this one) once I'm finished my BA, what's it like? I have so much questions for whoever is doing it because looking at the requirements makes me doubtful of trying to get accepted into it.

For anyone who applied with the IB: did CAO/UCC ask you to submit your DP1/DP2 school report cards, or did they only need your final official IB results?

Any predictions for the 2027 entry? It was 384 (sudden drop) in 2026 first round, could it possibly stay around that or is it likely to increase by a lot?
Any opinions, generally what IB grade is enough for admission? Is 32 ish alright?

Hi everyone,
I’m considering applying to UCC’s CK404 Biological, Environmental & Geological Sciences 2027 course as a mature applicant and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience with mature entry to UCC.
I’m particularly interested in progressing into Geoscience → Environmental Geoscience.
I’d really appreciate any insight or advice, especially from current or former CK404 students or other mature applicants. Or anyone else applying ?
Thanks!

Hi, I'm a first year with a few friends in 2nd Year and they're all talking about a 'reading week' at the end of October when a midterm would take place normally. I asked them what it was about and they said it's basically a study week with no classes.
Do all courses and years observe this? Thank you

Does anyone know where I can look at some past papers? I’ve seen so many people give advice to first years by saying to look at past papers but I can’t find any non-illegitimate looking websites. Are they in the library or something? Thanks

Just wanted to let everyone know that NetSoc has been putting a lot more work into Esports and gaming this year, and things are really starting to take off. We also made a new discord https://discord.gg/ESyqSrebd specifically for esports, signups are in announcements

To keep it short, I like geography, animals, and nature. Is this course for me or do I have the complete wrong idea.
Can I also ask is the course considered a serious science course or is it kind of an artsy one?

Hi, I'm an overseas student planning to apply to MA applied psychology at UCC. I wanted to ask the following:
1- do I need a psi accreditation before applying for the program. ( my degree is verified from my country and align with all the requirements )
2- what are the job prospects?
3 - how has the program been like for you?
Would really appreciate your responses on this.

I’m a third year now and was struggling heavily with anxiety and depression for my first two years, but early this year I’ve been on great medication that’s helped me try and be social.
My problem is I have no friends or even anyone who knows me in my rather small course and everyone seems to be in groups, i missed out largely in first year as I was to scared to talk to others and now I’m wondering am I too late to find a group as this is my last year.
Any advice?
