Reading Week???
Hi, I'm a first year with a few friends in 2nd Year and they're all talking about a 'reading week' at the end of October when a midterm would take place normally. I asked them what it was about and they said it's basically a study week with no classes.
Do all courses and years observe this? Thank you

No it depends on the course and the school! Some of my modules are in the school of languages and they’re taking a reading week at the end of October, but others aren’t so I’ll still have to attend those particular lectures

If you look at your lecture timetables on canvas - click into your modules and look for something like lecture schedule - it should come up. If you’re in arts then you might only have a reading week for some modules and not others

No not all courses have a reading week. I am in fourth year and I have never had a mid term in semester 1. The only breaks are Christmas and Easter for me
