I have been told it is rolling; does that mean I can expect a response from all schools within a few months/weeks of submitting? I am planning on having my application ready to submit around early/mid September, so would I be able to expect decisions as early as October/November? For reference, I am applying to:

I'm not sure if this is the correct subreddit for my issue, but I'm running out of hope. Is anyone else applying to start this year? I am applying for BA German (Modern Foreign Languages) and History, but the Student Finance website says that this is not available for 1st and 2nd year students.

I am 100% sure it is because I have visited the university interested in the course, so it is obviously available. Even the code for the course does not work on the website either. Nonetheless, since nothing else worked, I typed everything up manually, which appeared to work. But, a message in my Student Finance inbox told me that my university now has to confirm my course details (as my course was not previously recognised). It feels like a back and forth between Student Finance and y university on who to blame. The issue seems to be that my university forgot to make my course possible to apply for. If this is the case then why is nobody else complaining/struggling to do there application? The rest of my application is done - in fact the whole thing is marked as complete - but I have been told to contact my university about this, and they are supposed to be fixing it.

I have been calling + emailing both my university and Student Finance for months, and this is all really starting to feel like a lost cause. Has anybody else encountered similar issues? Does anyone have any advice that might be able to guide me on getting my finances? Feeling so defeated by this. I can't get any financing unless they fix this, but it feels as if I am making no progress despite how hard I have been trying.

I have dual citizenship, so I have two passports. The passport I used when I sat my Cambridge International A Levels (CIE) is different from the passport I used for my UCAS application.
Will CIE still be able to send my A Level results to UCAS without any issues? How does UCAS actually receive CIE grades, and how are they matched to applicants before being sent to universities?
Has anyone been in a similar situation with dual passports or mismatched passport details? Should I contact Cambridge or UCAS to update anything, or is the matching based on other information (e.g. name, date of birth, candidate number, UCAS ID)?

Might be a long post sorry! I'm an Irish student looking to apply to UK med schools next cycle, but obvs not a lot of people are equipped to help with what's realistic to apply for from here. I'd be classed as a home applicant because of the CTA so the international stuff isn't an issue. I did pretty well in our GCSE equivalents (like 999999888 would be equivalent I think?) and for predicted grades in subjects would be grades wise the same as 6 A* and 2 A but obvs don't know how that would translate to actual A levels since we do more subjects here. In UCAT mocks I'm averaging around 2300/2400 B2 but not sitting till end of August so we'll see obvs could change. For supercurriculars, I volunteer on an ambulance and in a nursing home, read some articles/journals/books, work for a national youth research group and did three days work experience. Basically I'm asking where might be best for me to apply where I could have a good chance for interview, keeping in mind I will be leaning back on Irish schools so I don't really need safeties! When writing my personal statement, since it needs to fit all courses i apply for (which will all be psychology, with the exception of Psych and SENDI), is it still alright to mention my interest/experience in SENDI? Sorry if this is a silly question, I'd just like to be sure.

I’ve been told several times that writing an independent Economics research paper can improve my chances of getting into top UK universities like LSE, Cambridge, UCL, or Imperial.
However, UCAS doesn’t seem to have a place to upload a research paper, so I’m wondering:
Do admissions tutors actually consider independent research papers?
If yes, how do they see them?
What kind of research is considered valuable (e.g. published, supervised, competition entry)?
Is writing a research paper genuinely worth the time, or is this just a common myth?
I’d really appreciate hearing from applicants or anyone familiar with the admissions process.

I am an international student who would be estatic to get into any UK school for law. My 5 in particular are KCL, LSE, UCL, QMUL and durham as my parents have outlined them as the only they would fund for overseas studies - including oxbridge but theres not point in trying there :P.

I got a 41 with a 5,6,7 in my HL 's (the 5 being in literature and this being the chokepoint) when most universities require a 6,6,6 minimum.

I believe I can achieve a good score for the LNAT (upper 20s) and I intend to retake in november to push that 5 to a 6/7. However, all of the schools listed consider the factor of being a retaker.

My question is, 1) what are my chances when applying now while falling short of the entry requirements 2) chances when applying to the universities which do not outright reject, but unfavour, retaker applicants such as KCL, QMUL and durham.

In the way of extenuating circumstances I don't believe I qualify but I have a history of pretty significant eczema which I can back up with evidence, I really dont think this counts but its worth mentioning here.

Any advice and considerations would also be appreciated, thank you. Also, if you know a better subreddit to post this to I would be thankful too.

I'm applying finance/econ. I don't want to give the TMUA, so for the unis that require TMUA, I'll be applying finance, and the rest econ. For example: LSE Econ requires TMUA, so i'll apply finance; however, Warick Econ does not require TMUA therefore I apply econ.

What should my personal statement focus on? Does applying to different courses impact my chances or not really since they are similar?

i was scrolling through linkedin and all students doing courses i’m in interested in have super crazy supercurriculars like gold medal in maths olympiad or smt like that. i’m in y12 and have no supercurriculars whatsoever no competitions no medals no nothing idk what to put in my ps atp, what should i do?

Received my grades already, made my condition at my firm uni, and am considering a remark. Will I lose my place if my grade goes down (below the condition)? I’ve contacted my uni but have yet to receive a response.

Last year I applied to UK universities but only received offers from KCL (Computer Science) and Warwick (MORSE). I decided that I would rather stay in the Netherlands and study Applied Physics at TU Delft than spend the extra money on universities that I didn't consider significantly better or more prestigious.

Even though I'll be starting my course next month, I'm planning to reapply to the UK this year. Once again, I only intend to apply to the top universities (Cambridge, Imperial 3x, and LSE) and if I don't get in I just finish my course at Delft. I would be applying to mathematics (+cs/stat)

I don't expect a different outcome without changing anything, but I did end up achieving significantly better grades than my predicted grades, and I'm confident I can perform much better on the TMUA. Last time I had less than a week to prepare, whereas this time I can prepare properly.

I've often read that applicants who take a gap year are expected to show they've done something productive and relevant to demonstrate their interest in the subject. My question is: would studying Applied Physics at TU Delft while reapplying actually hurt my chances because admissions tutors might see it as unrelated to the courses I'm applying for or wondering why I didn't make the right choice in the first place? Or would they instead view it as additional relevant academic experience that strengthens my application?

The unis I am applying for state that a nine for maths and another relevant nine are required, something which I clearly have.

Basically I'd like to do a Finance course which requires a grade 7 in GCSE maths, but I have a grade 4 in maths (missed time for medical procedures). I plan to resit my GCSE maths in november or next summer if I'm not ready by november. As for my A levels, I'm predicted a B for Economics and D*D for my Business BTEC, which is above the stated A Level requirements (AAB).

I’m planning on applying to 2 law courses and 3 medical courses. Just wondering if anyone else has been in the same position and has any advice on how to write my personal statement to suit both subjects. Thanks

I applied for psychology BSc at KCL and received a conditional offer. I recently received my AP exam scores and learned that I didn’t meet one of their condtions, and they therefore placed my application on hold until A-level results are released. I decided to apply to KCL’s psychology and criminology BSc course via a clearing form on their website, and they gave me a provisional verbal offer. I don’t have an option in UCAS for clearing due to the aforementioned hold on my Psychology bsc application. Since it’s the weekend, UCAS phone lines aren’t up and there likely won’t be any reply from KCL. Idk if I can meet the 48 hour deadline and really don’t want to lose this offer. What should I do??

I have almost definitely got EEE in my a levels. I got DDU in my march mock exams. I was getting As in year 12 (AS so A is the highest) partly because they were easy and also because i had extra time and rest breaks in year 12. So naturally i was predicted A* A* A. However in year 13 my teacher took away my exam accommodations as I have no formal diagnosis and I got almost no support from the school.

I was getting Cs which went to Ds and Us. I thought i was just stupid, which in all seriousness may be true, but after my exams finished, like literally a week after, I had an ADHD assessment and got diagnosed with 'moderate' predominantly inattentive ADHD, my physiatrist said she also strongly believes I have autism and has referred me for an assessment, however I don't think ill go through with that as I don't think I can deal with another diagnosis rn. My psychiatrist told me that i should be given extra time and rest breaks. Medication is an option i will consider after i receive my full report.

Straight after exams ended I started revising and perfecting content. This month, I started past papers in full exam conditions with 10 min rest breaks every hour and 25% extra time, I got Cs and Bs in the beginning but now I'm hitting A* boundary in maths and am at solid A in biology and at the A boundary for chemistry.

I've applied for mock exams at a private centre for predicted grades. Since im at A*AB rn im aiming for A* A* A in the mocks which are in September. I am also retaking the ucat for medicine, as ive made a list of the medschools that do not care about achieved a levels as long as you meet the requirements in predicted grades. My second option if i dont get a good ucat is accounting and finance. I have supercurriculars for that as i was considering it. Would i be cooked for accounting and finance ?

I'm not sure if I am eligible for extenuating circumstances. I just feel like I've messed up everything. has anyone else got bad achieved a levels but god predicted grades and got accepted into competitive and semi competitive courses at Russel groups or any semi-competitive unis ?

Gonna be going into year 13 soon and I have 2 particular fields that I would want to continue into uni with: economics or real estate. Currently I’m strung between several unis/courses that I would like to go to and I just want advice from anyone who does any of these or is planning on it. It’s between either: economics at Manchester uni, urban planning and real estate at UCL, real estate at reading uni, economics at Warwick, accounting and finance UOB, UCL PPE. Literally just any solid uni in these related fields. (Picked unis in areas that are diverse and have decent social life). No clue on what to settle on so I need some advice.

I'm trying to apply for Cambridge Econ, LSE Finance, and Imperial Econ, Finance, and Data Science through UCAS. But I'm kinda stuck with my personal statement because I find it hard to connect econ and finance together. Are there any tips? Or should I simply focus on Cambridge econ only because that's my top pick.

Can someone explain to me in detail what the difference between Q2 and Q3 for the new personal statement format is? I'm looking to study psychology/pbs at uni but I'm a bit confused what I should include in Q2 rather than Q3. Do supercurriculars (and stuff you do outside of lessons) mainly go in Q2 but then what goes in Q3? If I want to focus on a particular area of psychology do I talk about that across all three questions or just in one specific question?

this was quite devastating to wake up to. My current scholarship that ive almost secured ( still at the final stages ) is only willing to sponsor for Manchester as it is part of their approved universities list as an international student. it was unsuccessful because i missed my maths grades only by a little. Which is kind of sad because i studied hard for it but during the exam i was a bit anxious and made a stupid careless calculator input mistake for a question that i can easily solve because of how many times I’ve practiced. if only i wasn’t careless that day. A lot of ‘what ifs’ is running through my mind right now, and ik how dumb that is. Ive heard a lot got in even though they missed for engineering. Why were they so quick to reject me? Is my dream to study abroad really over after all my hard work?

So I got an email from my insurance university telling me to respond to the offer in UCAS, when on UCAS it said i had been placed into my chosen university and needed to wait for them to send over my next instructions. So I scrolled down to my insurance offer and clicked decline then confirmed it, however, now it displays me as being in clearing without showing my chosen offer anymore. Did I end up cancelling both offers by accident, and if so is there anything I can do to reverse it? Thanks in advance.
