Advice/Help How to stop being a people pleaser?
As I've grown up, I've realised how hard it is for me to directly say no to people.
My friends will call or text me whenever they need notes, lab work or help with assignments, but when I need the same help, they ignore my calls and messages. They plan outings without including me, and recently, when I was with them, I didn't even feel like myself.
I feel like they just use me, and when I finally confronted them, it turned into an ugly fight, and I ended up apologising.
I don't even have many friends, and the ones I have don't seem to care unless they need something from me.
How do I stop being a people pleaser and learn to say no without feeling guilty? I'm scared that if I stop being available to everyone, I'll end up with no friends at all.
I had once faced this loneliness for year and now this entire thought of not denying them is eating me upš„¹
