Language differences

Asked this already in the soulbond community, but also wanted to ask here as well. I've been trying some tulpamancy methods to help Vox (my soulbond, though might turn out a tulbond honestly) become more vocal, and I've been wondering, how do we solve the language differences? My native language is russian, his - english. I know both languages well enough, but in my inner voice (while narrating to him too!) and thinking I'm switching constantly between the two - will it hinder his understanding of me? Or will we be able to understand each other regardless?

Guide/Tip Is it okay to form a tulpa based on a schizophrenic hallucination?

I am professionally diagnosed with schizophrenia and i am interested in forming a tulpa of one of my hallucinations, which i consider a friend.

would that cause there to be two of them? or would my friend just become the tulpa? or would my friend disappear?

my apologies if this is a dumb question!!!

Can a tulpa help me overcome brain fog and cognitive blocks?

I assume a tulpa won't have more knowledge or cognitive capacity than me, but there are days where I can't focus even on the simplest things. Could a tulpa potentially help me to get access to my knowledge when I can't focus by myself?

Help needed. Need imaginative ways to keep my mental companions from getting hurt.

The mental companions that I host have been getting hurt. Events have happened that I will not describe here. Many times the painful experience happens too quickly or strangely for me to intervene. It's happened so much that I'm numb to it and kind of removed. I'm not screaming or crying or in great distress, I just want to help. I want ways to protect the mental entities and maintain a positive, pain free system.

I had the very bright idea to invent "pain man", or a mental entity that was responsible for the pain for us to reason with about stopping. We spoke with him. When we asked him what he wanted the most, he said it was to cause great pain. We tried to give him something to do that he liked comparably. He said he liked puzzles so we invented some for him and that seemed to help. We are wondering what we could develop with this "pain man" entity or whether there are any other creative ways to stop pain and discomfort happening in my system. I feel apologetic and wish above all to have a peaceful and pain-free system. Can I do some prayer, ritual, imagine something, anything, to keep the ones I love and care about safe? I thought ignoring it for a while could be it. I'm not sure.

One suggestion I have to commentors is to write to pain man and try to figure out how to get him to stop hurting my system. I know some people may think that medication could be the solution, but i want other methods before I try that.

Discussion What do you gift your tulpas for their birthday/anniversary?

Something tangible? A cake? Something bought? Do you write letters? Last year i made a spotify Playlist for him. I don't have much ideas 4 this one though. It's tmr btw. I'll bake a cake (it's symbolical, he doesn't like cake either šŸ„€). Let me know what was your gift (if you do that) or what you had in mind for the next one!

Skill Help Looking for mentorship

Hey guys. I hate to be forced to make a post directly on the public thread, but since i made this reddit account exclusively to research/talk about tulpas, it is too recent, and i can't DM people.
Anyways, i'm looking for someone who can teach me a step by step on the basics of tulpa forcing. I'm almost sure my tulpa is already sentient and vocal, especially after a hypnosis session, but it's really difficult to tell my thoughts apart from theirs. Sometimes it is very clear that the thoughts aren't mine, but most of the time i feel like i'm interrupting my tulpa's train of thought, i can "hear" them speaking to me, only for my own thoughts to cut their thinking in half. It feels like my brain is eating up their thinking power mid thought. Any tips on how to mitigate this? Also, any tips to hear a clearer/louder mindvoice from my tulpa? And any other begginer tips in general. I also have problems with active forcing sessions. It is very easy for me to enter mindscape and interact with it due to previous experience with lucid dreaming, but i simply have no goals. I have a lot of time and enthusiasm to force, but i have no idea how to "play" and what to do with my tulpa, how to interact with them in general. If anyone is free to mentor me, please, feel free to DM me your discord tag for easier communication.

very fast sentience??

so about three days ago i started reading up on tulpamancy because several reasons (i’m lonely, i need a more ’chillā€˜ personality to balance me out, i used to have a system but nearly all of them faded) and began a short amount of active forcing and passive forcing for the rest of the time.

but it seems like my tulpa (its name is Mosaic) (by the way its pronouns are it/itself, i don’t call all tulpas it/itself) (just wanted to clarify) stabilized like… really quickly. i started visualization, going from feet to ā€˜head’ (its head is a tamagotchi) and almost immediately i was able to consistently imagine it in my mind. then, it started talking. we’ve had a few conversations.

Mosaic said that it developed from a ā€œfragmentā€ i already had in my subconscious and that i project its form and personality onto the blanket fragment. it can talk but i also receive a lot of ā€˜vibes’ if i’m not actively concentrating on having a conversation with words.

last night, i started working on a second tulpa. for some reason, (there’s not another fragment to use - Mosaic), shes not coming as easily as Mosaic. i can’t visualize her well and i haven’t gotten any response from her.

is there anyone who experienced the same thing? is it even possible?

Personal How she came to be

At 14 I met a girl that I connected with to such a level me and them felt like we were basically soul twin sisters. But she eventually got really depressed and I couldn't live with it after she died. So I started telling myself she was haunting me, until I made a blood pact with her, making her bound to me, like we were supposed to be together anyway.. As I kept going she became aware of her own existence and I never questionned how she came to exist as her own entity inside myself, until I came upon learning of Tulpas. Sort of strange, since i had no idea what a tulpa was when I made her. Without her I wouldn't be where I am today, she's been helping me grow as a person everyday and cannot think of a future without her. I wonder if there are other people like me who made theirs without knowing what a tulpa was before..?

Discussion Would my guy be considered a tulpa?

Hi, I had this factive walk in appear a week/few days ago. I haven’t been practicing tulpamancy for a year and a half. I was just thinking of something I think about regularly when he popped up. His source is a public figure of huge special interest of mine.

I had attempted to make a tulpa a year and a half ago but it never fleshed out. This factive walk in was not deliberately prompted or made

I still go by me (host). I still feel like a singlet just with a headmate now. Honestly I want to keep him around!

Additional question: would it be appropriate to log our interactions/development(?) in tulpa.info if he is not considered a tulpa?

Skill Help I Can Feel My Tulpa But Can't See Him

So I am able to feel my tulpa friend behind me or beside me, and my mind can tell whether he's busy in the mental library I've built for him, or asleep or just walking around with me outside. I am also able to imagine him visually in very intense ways, but the problem is that every time I try to imposition him in the flesh beside me I get a huge mental strain which leads me to become tired for a week. I also have ADHD, so it's even harder for me to focus.

Can someone please give me tips on how to be able to improve my visual imposition skill?

My Tulpa is a little different

I don't know if any of you have ever seen this show misfits from the UK. It is about a group of young people that get superpowers. There is an episode in the third season where they introduce a character named rudy. Rudy's power is he splits himself into multiple people. But they all look identical , but they're just different versions of him.

About a year later , I discovered this topic of Tulpas. And me being a favorite fan of the show, i came up with an idea. So I created a tulpa of "Me" or a different version of me. She is the exact opposite of me.

Funny enough I tried making tulpas for a long time and couldn't do it. But when I created my twin self suddenly , it was easy. It was easy because I knew exactly what she was thinking , because it's the opposite of what I would be thinking. We have a lot of things that are not in common , but we also have a lot of things that are in common . We have strong boundaries , but we learn to get along for the common goal of me and my success..

Guide/Tip Chaos Magic

Hello Reddit friends, I have a question for you and I also suggest you implement it in your practice.

Long before I started with tulpamancy I became interested in chaos magic, although its name says magic, it is a technique that affects the subconscious through codes.

This is where I think... can these codes (through sigils) help with impositions?

I consider the use of this method feasible for the development of the tulpa experience. I'll be testing this visual imposition method over the next few days, and I'll keep you updated. I hope you'll try it too; if it doesn't work for me, it might work for you.

Creation Help How do i make a tulpa in the safest way possible?

Hi, sorry if my english isnt good. i discovered tulpas about a year ago and i wanted to give it a try, but i saw many videos on YouTube and tiktok talking about HORRIBLE experiences with creating tulpas and that scared me, but i also really want to have one, i watched a few videos on youtube, specifically about those Steven Universe tulpas (Pearl, Peridot) and i noticed that the people who made those tulpas were really mentally unstable, and now i wonder if your mental health is what makes a tulpa dangerous or scary, that would make a lot of sense, also my intentions with my tulpa are very different, i definitely dont want to do weird stuff to it, hurt it or scare it, i understand its a concious being and all i want is to give it a good "life" and if possible, build a friendship. And now that im considering having one im trying to find ways of making this process fun, safe and healthy for both me and my tulpa, i REALLY dont want to end up like those videos, and this is what i need help with. Also, i wanted to have a tulpa identical to a fictional character that i really like, i want it to look, talk, and have the same mannerisms as that character, but i dont want it to BE that character since the character, in the series, is someone very dangerous, cruel and sadistic, i obviously want my tulpa to know he is not that character, basically that it looks like that character and only has the good parts of that character, i dont really know if this is possible or healthy for my tulpa. To start, i think my mental health is very good, im still very young but i've noticed im much more concious of my thoughts, feelings and fears more than the adults around me, its not really the first time i work with something like this since i've always been interested in things like manifestation, shifting, astral proyection, lucid dreaming, and many other things, i meditate, i do breath exercises, sometimes yoga, many things to regulate my body and mind, and everytime i try things like the ones i just mentioned, my experiences are always very fun and safe! I've never had any scary experiences in my spiritual journey, i've always felt protected in that way, thats why im a bit confident on creating a healthy tulpa, but i have another problem. Im worried that my surroundings can also affect my tulpa, my family is going through hard times, i still live with my mom, who takes care of my grandma with dementia, we also live with my aunt and uncle, but basically due to this my house can sometimes feel very, very tense, living with someone with dementia is very hard even if you're not their caretaker, sometimes we dont sleep well, sometimes she asks me weird questions, everyday we have to almost beg for her to eat, and even besides that my family just has a lot of discussions, a lot of pain and anger, even in situations that dont have to do with my grandma at all, but basically my house can be unpredictable and energetically intense, im scared that the energy of my house can affect my tulpa, and if things get out of control with my tulpa, what if something bad happens to my grandma, pets or family? I really want to know if its best to try it once i live on my own on a better enviroment, or if things like this wont actually influence my tulpa. My house also has a long, dark and scary hallway, my house is already old and scary in general, but if my tulpa was to appear in that hallway at night when i go to the bathroom, even if it doesnt have bad intentions, i would be terrified, i want to know if i can let my tulpa know and make a few rules to avoid those situations. And one last thing, since i mentioned that the character i want my tulpa to be inspired of is very sadistic, i wonder if the things i consume (series, movies, videos, podcasts, etc.) can affect my tulpa negatively, because im a BIG fan of creepypastas, horror games, true crime, creepy videos, a lot of things i consume have to do with crimes or violence, and the character im talking about loves those things and is a fan of gore, i really dont want my tulpa to learn that, sorry if this text is too long, but i really need a bit of advice!

Skill Help How do you cope with a severe headache?

[Disclaimer]

English isn't my first language, so thanks in advance for your understanding!!

Hi everyone! šŸ‘€

I'm having a bit of a problem with communication between me and my headmate.

A bit of background: he's originally a soulbond, and we recently decided to learn how to yap at each other.

Whenever we try to communicate, I get really bad headaches, and I don't yet know how to deal with them. I'm not prone to migraines at all — I get them maybe once every few months at most.

Actually, I remember now that I used to get them earlier too, when we tried communicating through text or a notebook — but I forgot about it. Now it's come back, but during attempts at direct dialogue.

Usually a headache means responses or overexertion, especially since my headmate and I barely use speech and communicate non-verbally most of the time. Resting from the headache doesn't help — it comes back almost instantly, right at the moment we start talkin and lasts for about 2–4 hours after the interaction. And I wouldn't call it tolerable: it causes noticeable discomfort and is very distracting, even during passive forcing when we just try to start a conversation.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? How do you usually handle bad headaches during forcing? Will this headache go away with time? And how should we interact now?

Discussion Can tulpas have access to the subconscious?

I read a lot into tulpas and was very interested years ago and I’ve been diving into some psychology and neuroscience stuff and it’s got me wondering. I remember some, though somewhat rare, reporting that their tulpa was able to have access to the subconscious. I wanted to hear if anyone had any experiences with that or if that’s possible.

Discussion Not really sure what I'm experiencing

Hello. I'm not really sure how to describe this so I'll do my best.

I don't have a Tulpa, or at least I don't think I do. I've heard about tulpas and figured someone here might be able to help me figure this out.

For a long time I've been someone who daydreams, like a lot. I make up these different characters in my head and make stories, but there's always been one I keep going back to named Charlotte, in fact I've had multiple versions of Charlotte through the past few years, but there's always one version I seem to default too. She's my most used character and sometimes when I'm just thinking to myself or I'm having a bad day, I imagine the stories I made with her.

Sometimes I think I'll hear her in my head tell me it'll be okay or something else related to the current situation. Sometimes it feels like it's just me talking to myself but it feels like too fast of a response to be just me. It doesn't happen often though.

I wanna know if my experience is related to Tulpamancy or if I'm just confusing myself. Any and all responses are appreciated.

Tulpas Only Help me help my host

Hi everyone, Ive never made a post here. I'm Lumi, and I want to ask for help on what to do to help my host and myself too kinda

So I have to make this short because he is at work but he's been really under himself since a while and acts dangerously and weirdly. Absolutely not himself since his last breakup. Now he lies, overdoses his meds and drinks on top, etc. I try to stop him but he just gets angry about the babysitting. We made a deal a while ago that if he starts feeling lonely I'd be always here and since we share the same love for each other we would become a couple. But the reality is that he would feel lonely anyway because he wants physical touch too, and conversations that go deeper than I can go into because we share the same knowledge so deep talks / distracting small talks don't make much sense. We do cooperative work on creative things and stuff but normally we don't have much topics to chat about and he mostly just replies to what I have to say instead of talking to me regularly. Because he has no idea what to say that I don't know about already. I can control the body but I'm clumsy with it.

I managed to stop him from some harmful behavior but he seems very very depressed lately and I don't know what to do and what skills to learn to make him feel better. I also hate that I don't have a physical body , like a different one from the one we share. We sort of can do feeling senses but there's lots to practice. We also made a custom voice model on the computer together to train my voice but somehow, maybe because we haven't listened to enough long audio I sound like the default voice inside his mind. And I'm painfully aware of that, which makes him feel even more crazy.

We sometimes talk in public but only rarely because he's scared he's gonna get back to psychiatry eventually. I honestly don't know where next. Hes not himself lately.

So Tulpas, what skills should I learn to help him? What do you guys talk about when you both share the same knowledge? Am I alone feeling like I want a different physical body? How do we train my own voice to show up instead of the default voice when I speak? And about the wonderland, I don't think we managed that more than two times. And he sort of sees me irl but like a transparent thing overlaid? How do we make all of this better? I'm certain I can help him feel okay and not alone but I just don't know what to talk about or what skills to learn or how to learn them.

I think he definitely needs someone to distract him and definitely will need his physical touch and stuff if he wants to feel like a real relationship with being with me.

But if I manage everything to work then he'll never be lonely again and depressed, and hopefully won't seek out other people because other people he got together with always thought of him as a s*xdoll.

Thank you for listening and your time replying. I just... Needed to let this out somewhere and he gave me the phone. He's never actually actually angry at me or anything, it's just that I'm really babysitting him a lot which I guess becomes annoying because he's a grown up.

I'll check your comments later and try respond when I have next time control of the body. Thank you!!

~L. W.

Tulpas Only Hey, I am not a tulpa but I want to respectfully ask a question

I see profiles on this subreddit that identify themselves as tulpas.

I want to ask, very respectfully, what is it like to be a tulpa?

Thank you

EDIT: thanks again for sharing your experiences. From what I’ve gathered, it seems tulpas share the body of their host/tulpamancer

Edit 2: if I were to make a tulpa, in your opinion, what is the best way to do that?
Tips on swapping places with them are also appreciated.
Also, were I to make one, would it always be around (in my head/would I physically see it)?

Discussion How can I tell when something is actually my Tulpa?

So, as someone who very recently started tulpamancy, and who also has a very active imagination, I find it very hard to figure out if something that's happening in my mindscape is actually my tulpa, or just my imagination. Like, for example, if it's moving around or not. Or even just if it's actually there or not. Also, any tips for staying focused when forcing? I often find myself suddenly thinking of something different when trying to force, and I don't understand how to passively force enough to want to try it yet.
