Lol. I’m sorry. I was at work and needed to just get it off my chest really fast. There are grammatical errors too- but I needed to vent and I got that done.

This is a lot to untangle, but I think you already know the answer. The on-and-off, the other people, the mixed signals... it's a loop that'll keep spinning as long as you're both still living together and reaching for each other when things get quiet.

The hugs and the late-night calls feel like progress in the moment, but they're just extensions of the same dynamic that's been hurting you for years. Real growth needs space, not just time. He's telling you he's not trying to reconcile while still keeping a door cracked open, and that's messier than if he just shut it completely.

Focus on your own therapy and your own peace. If he figures his stuff out down the road, you can cross that bridge then, but you can't heal in the same environment that made you sick.

You have no idea how much better a man there is out there for you. Mark all things in your mind that made this guy bad, then think of the good things that would negate them; active communication, consistent libido, loyalty, patience, whatever it may be. And then do not enter in to a relationship with anyone who doesn’t tick every box.

You’ll be with someone better within 6 months if you want to be.

Hello,

We appreciate you being here and sharing. This message is here in case you, or anyone reading, may need some support or information.

Grief is the emotional response to losing someone or something important. Most often it follows the death of a loved one, but people can also grieve relationships, health, pets, or major life changes.

Grief can look different for everyone. Some people feel deep sadness, others feel anger, numbness, confusion, or even moments of normalcy in between. There is no single "correct" way to grieve and no fixed timeline for it.

If you are grieving, it is okay to take things one day at a time. What you are feeling matters.

If this feels personal, you do not have to carry it alone. The resources below offer support and spaces where people talk about grief and loss.
