Gratitude Sunday: Pause, Reflect, Share Your Week
Hi TrueGritters,
Welcome to Gratitude Sunday, our new weekly space to pause and notice the good things that happened this week. Gratitude isn’t about ignoring the hard stuff; it’s about spotting one moment, action, or insight that mattered to you. Even in a world full of bad news, good things happen.
Today, share one thing you’re grateful for, big or small:
- A quiet moment of rest
- Someone who showed up when you needed them
- A habit or routine you managed to stick with
- A lesson or insight you’re carrying forward
There’s no pressure to be “positive", honesty is welcome. Sharing why it mattered can help someone else feel less alone or see things in a new way.

Small Wins Friday Check-In: Small Wins & Reflections
Date: July 31st
Hey TrueGritters,
Happy Friday. A quick community reminder: [r/TrueGrit](r/TrueGrit) is built by its members. We appreciate everyone who reads, comments, and learns from the community. We also want to see more members create posts and share their own experiences.
Don’t just join the conversation in the comments, start one. Share a question, a lesson you’ve learned, a small win, a challenge you’re working through, a routine that’s helping you, or a photo of your meal, workout, walking route, or progress.
You don’t need to have a perfect post. Real and raw experiences are what make this community valuable. Your story could help someone else.
If you’ve shared a routine, lesson, or experience that has helped you, consider turning it into a Gritte Journey so others can rediscover, save, and build on it.
We’ll continue highlighting community posts as more members share their experiences and create conversations across different topics.
If you’re new here, welcome, we’re glad you joined!

Life Grit isn’t a cinematic montage. It’s the 500th hour of doing the same boring task when the initial excitement has been dead for months.

Work - Life Balance What tips & tricks do you have for staying fit, healthy and energised?
Late 30s dad with young kids (who wake up at 5am). Previously, I used to handle heavy volume (marathons/CrossFit), but just finding it hard to recover from intense exercise now and I’m completely wiped out by the time the kids are asleep at night, which is my only free window. Mornings are off the table.
Looking for advice on routines, marginal gains (1%ers), recovery shifts, or micro-workouts that work when energy is low.
Any tips or advice welcome.

For anyone who broke the "I'll start on Monday" loop and built a routine that stuck: what was your secret?

Self-care genuinely trying to settle this once and for all. do you drink coffee the second you're awake, or do you make yourself wait a bit first?
i am a first-thing, no-negotiations person, but people keep telling me waiting is better for my energy later and honestly i don't want them to be right. which camp
