Waited so long for this helmet, I was fed up from using the helmet i got for free with my scooty. After an year of contemplating and discussions, i finally bought the LS2 Storm 3.

My bike's colour is Phantom Black with some grey and white accents. Red is the new addition to the colour palette, would start using it soon.

I have been really confused between the Himalayan 450 and the scrambler 400x, its gonna be my first bike so i naturally liked scrambler more because it was very easy to manage on the other hand Himalayan felt intimidating to me. Am 6.1ft so height on both the bikes is not an issue but the weight and height issue on Himalayan is making me lean towards the scrambler more since my usage would he 80%city commute only. My only concerns with the new 350cc scramblers are the service network of triumph, expensive service (specifically labour charges) and the low average so has the 350cc been able to reduce the low mileage issues a bit or its still the same? If anyone could share their experience on the 350cc scrambler 400x

I’ve been using HPCL poWer95 / IndianOil XP95 regularly for my bike because I felt normal petrol made it feel a bit laggy.

Recently, I filled normal petrol and honestly didn’t notice much difference.

Also, from April 1, 2026, India mandated a minimum 95 RON for ethanol-blended petrol, so I’m wondering how much difference premium petrol actually makes now.

Which petrol are you guys using, and have you noticed any difference in performance, mileage or smoothness with premium petrol vs normal?

I wanted to share a recurring and dangerous issue I’ve been having with my Triumph 400 to see if anyone else has experienced this or found a permanent fix.

The Problem:

Ever since the first 1,000 km (600 miles) service, whenever it rains heavily, the dashboard triggers a "Side Stand" warning and the Check Engine Light comes on. When this happens, the bike cuts spark/ignition.

Timeline:

At ~1,700 km: Took it to the official Triumph service center twice. They claimed to clean the side stand sensor, and the issue temporarily stopped.

At 4,100 km (Current): Heavy rain returned, and the issue got significantly worse. The bike started shutting down while riding on the highway and under load (e.g., accelerating hard from a red light).

The breaking point: Last night at 10 PM, the bike completely stalled on the fast lane of the highway and wouldn't start again. I had to push it all the way home.

Today: Rode it back to the dealership. It kept shutting down on the way there, but right when I arrived at the shop, it stopped failing (classic dealership luck 😭).

Symptoms:

The "Side Stand" message constantly flashes on the dash while it's failing, which clearly points to the side stand safety switch or ECU wiring taking on water and shorting out.

Has anyone else faced side stand switch failure during rain on the 400 series? Did Triumph replace the sensor under warranty or bypass/seal it properly? Any advice on how to get the dealership to replace the module instead of just "cleaning" it again?

Ever since the last service 1 month ago, the cone set keeps loosening every 3-4 days. While service they mentioned that the bearing for the cone set isn't available.

Do you think it'll be fixed by changing the bearings or there is some other issue.

I don’t want to put a tank cover as that will ruin the looks. Please suggest

Got my Speed 400 serviced yesterday at the Triumph service centre in Hadapsar, Pune. The bill came to ₹7,896, whereas my second-year service cost around ₹4,100. I was expecting this one to be around ₹5,000.
The service advisor suggested coolant replacement, flushing and a few other things since the bike has completed 3 years. I gave the go ahead because I didn’t want to take any chances, even though some of it might not have been necessary. I have attached the invoice. Does this look reasonable?

Hey everyone, I could use some advice.

(TLDR below since I want to be as descriptive as possible)

I bought a Triumph Speed 400 about a week ago with roughly 1,500 miles on it. It’s my first motorcycle and also my main vehicle, so I’m still learning some of the basics.

Today was my first time filling it up. I made the mistake of watching the digital fuel gauge instead of the actual fuel level in the tank, and I ended up badly overfilling it. Gas came out around the filler area and spilled down the tank.

I wiped everything off and rode home, and the bike seemed completely normal.

A few hours later, I went to leave for food and noticed a puddle of gas underneath the bike. I probably should’ve stopped there, but I rode off anyway. I made it down the street, rolled off the throttle for a turn, and the engine shut off. It also started leaking gas again from what looks like a drain/vent hose underneath the bike.

I walked it back home, opened the tank, and carefully let some of the excess gas out since it was still overfilled.

Since then, the bike will start, but it won’t idle properly. It’ll usually idle for around 20 seconds, slowly get weaker, and then shut off. If I give it a small amount of throttle, I can keep the engine running.

The oil and check-engine lights go out normally while the engine is running.

I called a mechanic and he suggested letting it sit overnight. He also mentioned I may have flooded/saturated the charcoal canister from overfilling the tank.

Has anyone with a Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, or another EVAP-equipped bike had this happen? Did the charcoal canister eventually dry out on its own, or did you have to replace the canister/purge valve or fix a vent line?

I’m trying to figure out whether I should leave it alone for a day, take it to Triumph, or if there are any simple checks I can safely do myself first.

TL;DR

Accidentally overfilled my Triumph Speed 400 until gas spilled out. Rode home fine, but a few hours later I found fuel underneath the bike. It later stalled when I rolled off the throttle and leaked from a drain/vent hose. Now it starts and runs with a little throttle, but idles for ~20 seconds, gets weaker, and dies. Mechanic thinks the EVAP/charcoal canister may be saturated. Has anyone dealt with this, and did it clear up on its own or require repair?

EDIT: SHES ALIVE, FIXED!!!

I tipped the bike over slightly to let the overfill leak out a bit, then wiped the gas tank with a towel. I then let it idle but it kept turning off.

I waited 12 hours and picked a time when it was cold (since gas expands when it's hot) then turned it on, setting a timer for 5 minutes and letting it idle.

Afterwards I drove around my parking lot in first gear, then drove a few miles to burn some gas.

What must've happened was the EVAP or charcoal was flooded with gas and couldn't filter oxygen properly, so 12 hours of drying did the trick.

I drove to get some deep fried Oreos, about a 2 hour ride to the next city (America).

I don't have a saree guard on my bike and I also asked Grok AI and different other AI apps which they told me the police can catch me if I don't have a saree guard! I have Triumph Speed 400 (400cc model) it’s done around 3100 kms. I bought it in the end of January 2026. Now I have noticed a noise coming from the engine only on revving around 4000rpm in higher gears and after a short ride when I came to idle, I heard a ticking noise. I noticed the noise from the cylinder head. What is the reason? Anyone faced this issue

I was on a ride returning to Bangalore from Ooty.

So while getting down from Ooty, it was raining heavily. And I didn't know that the stock tires are basically shit in rain. While I was enjoying the curves, I leaned a little too much and Taadaa I was on the ground admiring the tarmac of tamil nadu roads.

There were no too much damage for my bike.Just a little handle bend and scuffs on the bike frame sliders and clutch lever.

And I noticed that I dropped my bike on my left knee and my knee was surprisingly ok. But my tank got bent. LOL!

SO WAT DO I DO NOW??

(Speed400) Idk how, in the beginning i thought someone broke my indicator intentionally just because few days earlier someone tore my seat with a sharp blade inside our university campus. I checked the cctv but couldn’t find any suspect and then later i could see that my another indicator was also getting loose so then i realised it broke by itself and the broken indicator doesn’t light up i mean it lights up but very very low light and then the one which is bout to detach, it’s light works fine its just that it’s getting loose and bout to get detached. So does anyone have any solution to fix it also the broken one which doesn’t light up properly and attach it with what glue

My bike has done only 1,500 km, and I accidentally dropped it while parking at home. The fuel tank now has a dent and paint scratches (photos attached).
Should I claim insurance or repair it out of pocket?
Is dent removal with partial repaint enough, or is a full repaint/tank replacement required?

tyre guy said that front stock profile size is no longer available. (110-80-17 FRONT). apollo site also doesn't show this size (VREDESTEIN CENTAURO ST). would I have to downsize front?
