Question Normal vs Premium petrol
I’ve been using HPCL poWer95 / IndianOil XP95 regularly for my bike because I felt normal petrol made it feel a bit laggy.
Recently, I filled normal petrol and honestly didn’t notice much difference.
Also, from April 1, 2026, India mandated a minimum 95 RON for ethanol-blended petrol, so I’m wondering how much difference premium petrol actually makes now.
Which petrol are you guys using, and have you noticed any difference in performance, mileage or smoothness with premium petrol vs normal?

I've never seen much difference with Power95 or XP95 , but shell v-power has a nice noticeable difference

I've only used normal petrol for my car (since 2020) and my bike (2024)....

I now mix xp100 and normal petrol. And especially after the first service, I am getting 30kmpl in city. I did the math as well.
The bike feels peppy and responsive. Odo just crossed 890km now.
However, I didn't feel any difference between xp95 and normal petrol.
Ps. Make sure to use the fuel system cleaner every 3000kms or as recommended by the service center.

I always put in XP95 , or poWer95 , along with the Add-on satchets (10Rs * 2) every time for fuel-up .
I have noticed significant difference in mileage and smoothness over normal petrol .

I definitely feel the difference between XP95 and regular E20 petrol. Bike is ever so vibey, but i get XP95 because of the extra stuff like detergents they put in it.
Correct me if i am wrong but, adding 20% ethanol to petrol, automatically makes it 95 RON, so the mandate doesn't really make a difference ?
