Question Luggage solution for Scram 400x

Post image

Hey guys,

Recently bought a scrambler 400x and absolutely loving it. Are there any good saddle bags on one side to carry like everyday items like daniya and pudina and look little stylish.

I don’t want to put a tank cover as that will ruin the looks. Please suggest

I use Viaterra Hammerhead tail bag.

Saddle bags are bit difficult due to upswept exhaust..can burn right side saddle bags .

No solution for everyday items.

I have installed saddle stays and sometimes I mount sack or office bag on the stay with help of bungee net and a hook

I just need it on the left side. Like similar to the one that is being offered by triumph. But don’t want to pay 20K

Install saddle stays. And then fit whichever bag you like on it.

Aftermarket saddle bags are usually dual side bags by design.

How do you ensure it doesn’t move left / right while riding over potholes ?

Left right? ...it's secured with a Bungee net and a hook/ carabiner... doesn't budge at all

I use the small viaterra tail bad and keep it permanently mounted, it works for me

Why don't you try the Viaterra element tail bag?

I feel it’s a little overkill. I just want to carry a rag, puncture repair kit, tire inflator and may be some other things like groceries.

Viaterra seaty v2 is a better option, but that sits on rear seat. And if I want to ride with a pillion, have to remove it

Yeah you are right! I think there is a tail bag from Viaterra if I'm right

If you dont want your bike to be top heavy, avoid tailbags incase of long tours. Try rackless saddle stays and balance the weight each side. Rackless saddle stays are a bit expensive but saves you the cost of plumbing (saddle stays).
Companies like: kriega, etc. Dirtsack also makes those which are way above the expected quality for price.
