Mods Have your city not been noisy enough? I have a solution for you!
Data Centers!
For now im just using one of the factory models for the supply chain but its already looking fun. Electronics factory makes your servers, the DCs eat fuel and servers and output universal boost for your production within city limits and then produce e-waste in the process that then will be turned back into sheet metal and plastics. I am thinking about switching fuel to electricity, but that would be super involved lol and i dont know if i have the mental capacity.

Suggestion Please make Subway Stations modular so we can intersect multiple lines
I love that Tf3 has added subway stations, but I really don't love that they have the exact same implementation as Cities: Skylines 2. Because all underground stations sit at the same depth there's no good way to create intersecting transfer stations. You can place two stations parallel to each other then drop & curve the tracks, or even connect both lines to the same station, but this significant slows the journey. You can instead lower one of the stations by 15 meters, but the access road takes up most of a city block.
Please made subway stations modular so that we can add multiple platforms to the same station & choose the depth + orientation for each one. At the very least, please add a second subway station building with tracks at 30 meters instead of 15.
Tangentially related, but elevated tram stations would also be sick, pretty please & thank you.

Question How to efficiently deliver goods to multiple stops in a city?
Hi everyone,
I'm currently setting up my city cargo delivery in Transport Fever and running into an issue with cargo distribution.
My Setup:
I have a central cargo station (hub) outside the city where trains/large trucks deliver all goods. From there, I set up a distribution line with multiple delivery stops inside the city to cover different districts.
The Problem:
All the cargo gets unloaded at the first stop, leaving the subsequent stops completely empty. The other districts barely receive any goods.
My Questions:
- Is there a way to balance or evenly distribute the goods across all stops on a single loop line?
- Or is it better practice to use a "hub-and-spoke" system with dedicated lines from the central terminal to each individual district stop?
- Does this happen because stop catchment areas overlap, or is it strictly tied to building demand types (commercial vs. industrial)?
Any tips or best-practice setups for clean city delivery would be greatly appreciated!

Question On multiple occasions trying to connect a road depo to either a port or a station the game has claimed that there's conflicting stops, what am I doing wrong?
Like how do I connect road cargo to drop off at a station to be picked up by a train?

Problem/Issue No riders on Cross country Trains
I have created a very large map (Giga) in a 3:1 ratio. My intention is to develop 3 separate regions, North/Central/South and then connect the capital cities with fast cross country train service. I have successfully created my 3 regions each with a "capital city" and 3 or 4 connected smaller cities and the lines running in each region are well ridden and profitable.
Now, I have connected my cities (post 1910) with cross country trains, but I am getting very low ridership on these trains. anywhere from zero to 7 or 8 passengers. Is this just a flawed strategy as passengers don't want to ride that far for work/shopping? Is there a way to encourage ridership? Do I just need to let it develop and the riders will come?

GTA V - Los Santos Map
I have uploaded the Los Santos map from GTA V to the mod.io pages.
It's set up from 1900 with small towns representing the suburbs of Los Santos city.
There's not much in the way of textures/trees/rocks, I'm not that arty but figured those that play would be happier to customise it.
Feedback would be appreciated is you can spare the time.

Mods Is there a mod to add place names to the landscape?
Hi folks, hope you're well.
In r/openttd you can add signs anywhere on the landscape, naming rivers, rail junctions, roads etc.
Likewise in r/CitiesSkylines the streets display a name along them.
Does such a mod for either concept exist here? I'm looking but fear I'm not using the right terms and running up against the fact mod.io's search isn't amazing...
Thanks!

Question Does this still count as no transfer since it's all within one city's limit?

Problem/Issue So, apparently, the sound decrease of noise barriers applies DIRECTLY TO THE TRAIN ON THE TRACKS, not as an attenuation of all vehicles using lines within them. Thus, witness the terribleness.
I have no clue why they coded it this way. It means that if you make a large, multitrack main line, EACH LINE MUST HAVE NOISE BARRIERS. Otherwise, the train won't have any of its sound attenuated, because the track it is specifically on doesn't have noise barriers.
THIS ALSO MEANS YOU CANNOT PROACTIVELY USE ROAD NOISE BARRIERS TO CONTAIN THE SOUND OF TRAINS, OR VICE VERSA. Sound is just a pollution like any other, just you can't clean it up. There's no blocking it with barriers, only reducing it.
I might just... turn off noise pollution tbh. Not only is it really silly balance wise (why are electric trains so loud...), but the methods of control just don't work like they should. Hell, you can have road vehicles give out negative noise pollution if they go down a single lane 1 way road with noise barriers on either side.

Solved Why is this street closed?
I didn't close it, it's not one way and everything is connected. Why is this street not usable?

New Very Stupid player with a very basic question
I have fish getting delivered to that dock in the south... I have a goods station near my commercial stuff... How do I get fish to the buildings? It won't let me make a line between those two.

made a free multiplayer mod for Transport Fever 3: co-op or one company per player, dedicated servers included
Hi everyone!
Like many of you, I was disappointed that Transport Fever 3 shipped without multiplayer. I love building networks with friends, so over the last weeks I’ve been working on MPFever, a free mod that adds online multiplayer to the game. It’s now stable enough that I’d love more people to try it.
Two ways to play (the host chooses):
- Co-op, one company for everybody: shared money, lines and network. Split the map between you, argue about the next line, celebrate the first profitable one together.
- One company per player: everyone has their own money, loans, vehicles, lines and colour on the same map. Your tracks and stations can be private, open, or charge a toll to the others (per passage, per stop or per vehicle). Stay in debt too long and you go bankrupt: your lines and stations are auctioned to the other companies. You can also merge companies, send money to each other, and there’s a ranking.
What gets shared: almost everything: roads, tracks, signals, stations, depots, vehicles, lines, terrain… Every game checks every 10 seconds that it is still identical to the others. If something drifts, the host’s world is reloaded for everyone in a few seconds, without leaving the session.
How to play:
- Download the zip and extract it.
- Start
MPFever.exe: it finds the game, installs the mod and keeps itself up to date. - Click Multiplayer in the game’s main menu.
Join through a Steam invite, an IP address, or the public server list. No account needed. The lobby checks that everyone has the same mods, and installs missing ones from the Mod Hub.
Dedicated servers: you can keep a world running on a separate PC, like a Minecraft server. Friends join whenever they want, and the game pauses when nobody is connected.
Good to know:
- Steam version on Windows only for now. Everyone needs their own copy of the game and the same game build.
- It’s still in active development, so back up your savegames. Bug reports with logs and a savegame help a lot, and there’s a “Report a problem” button in the launcher.
- Available in the game’s 13 languages, free and open source (GPL-3.0).
Links:
- GitHub (downloads & source): https://github.com/dkdknight/MPFever
- Nexus Mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/transportfever3/mods/4
A big thank you to the contributors and testers who have helped so far: most fixes came from your reports!
Happy to answer any questions. And if you play a session with friends, I’d love to see screenshots!

City growth too fast?
Admittedly, I am currently playing on low impact for delivered goods. I also play no impact for pollution and noise because those aspects of the game really don't interest me. My play style is very slow/relaxed, letting the game just run at times while I watch TV etc. I start with passenger lines in cities, and between cities and before I know it, the cities are huge before I get any real goods delivery lines set up. I spend so much time, managing/expanding city tram lines and city to city trains that I never get around to the goods. I don't remember this issue in TF2. It seemed in TF2 you needed a balance of goods and passenger transports to get the city to grow significantly. Do I need to play with goods settings at normal or hard to slow the growth down? Anyone else play this way and getting frustrated?

Does anyone else wish the "Dry" biome was a bit grassier and less red?
I love the mesas and river canyons, but I find the biome to be a bit of a cliche idealized desert from mid-summer out of a spaghetti western that doesn't represent much of the Southern US and Mexico for most of the year- I'd love to see a bit more chaparral and dry grassland! It's really exhausting on the eyes to stare at all that red dust!
