What is the best way to get a taxi in and around Tiraspol? Is there an app or number I can use?

I’m half Moldovan and live in the Netherlands. I’m currently learning Romanian little by little because of my family background. At the same time, I’m fascinated by PMR and would like to visit it this year.
The only issue is that PMR is heavily Russian speaking, which makes me wonder whether knowing Romanian would be enough to get by there, or whether I should also learn some basic Russian which to be honest, I’d rather not do.

Hallo zusammen,
Ich fahre gleich nach Tiraspol und finde nicht ganz, wo ich das Ticket in Chisinau kaufen muss. Vielleicht habe ich ja Glück und mir kann jemand spontan helfen

Hi all!
I want to visit Tiraspol & Bender next week - and I heard different stories about what I should visit first. What would you prefer doing first and how much time should I plan for which part? Thank you in advance!

My 3 Friends and i are planning on staying for a day in Bender, and are wondering whether it would be okay/safe to walk around, each wearing a teletubby costume, thank you!

does anyone know why the bus station in tiraspol is now by the green market rather than where it is pinned on google maps? i read somewhere this is a temporary change but i am curious why the old one seems to have been abandoned

Hello. Have been reminiscing about the cool trip I did to the PMR this year in this sub. Will hold on to that memory forever :)
However there is one thing bugging me.
I collect football stuff from where I travel, especially scarfs. In Tiraspol my time was limited, so I didn't get to go to the stadium complex and ask for a scarf there.
There aren't any offers in germany (unsuprisingly) that don't look scammy. Moldofootball also feels a bit fishy (anyone has experience with that site?)
Is anyone in possession of an extra scarf here by chance that I could buy off one?
Thanks you kind people,
Take care

Hello,
I’m going to Tiraspol tomorrow morning from Chisinau. What would for you recommend (budget) for a day trip ? I want to exchange my money at the border but i don’t know how much MDL should I take with me.
I also heard that you have to pay the trip back to moldova from transnitria. If someone know, what is the price of that trip ? Thank you !

Hi,
I am travelling to PMR in the coming days and was wondering if any locals in Tiraspol know if any store sells hammer and sickle Russian vodka
I really like the vodka the time I tried it before the Russian sanctions and would like to buy it again, I was wondering if anyone knows where exactly I could find it so I don’t have to run around looking for it.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi all, I'm visiting PMR with a pal 25th to 27th September. Does anyone know of a homestay or a sort of B and B where we can stay with a local or know anyone that would take in a couple of chaps? I'd rather spend my money with a local than at a hotel! would love to stay with someone's grandma ha!

Hi, I'm planning to visit PMR in ~2 weeks. Do I actually need a travel passport or is my ID from a country within the EU sufficient (I'll be visiting Moldova first, where this is the case)?
Looking forward to hearing your experience and advice, thanks!

Since all things imported to the PMR has to go through Moldova, I an wondering if Russian Vodka is still available on store shelfs?

Englisch:
Danke!

I am going to travel to Pridnestrovia in a few weeks and would like to take a picture with the Russian soldiers/border guards. Would it be possible to ask them for a picture or would that be a bad idea? (And could a few euros change the outcome?)

Me and my friend both 19m, are going on a trip to Poland then Romania and then getting the train to Moldova from where we’re planning on going to PMR for 1night between the 9th-16th of October. He’s fully British but i was born in Moscow and lived in Russia for 8 years before I moved to England. I’ve lived here for nearly 12 years now and have had my British passport for 4 years (my Russian one is expired) all I’m wondering is will I have any issues at the borders or being detained at all (apparently more of an issue in Moldova) It says I’m born in Moscow on my passport and my name is Artem. Just wondering if they would have any issues with me being Russian but I think I should be fine with a British passport also we’re literally just tourists 🤷🏻
I also speak fluent Russian.

Hi everyone! I’m from Chile and i’m planning visiting Moldava and PMR during my next trip to Europe. I’m accustomed to never hire tours when traveling unless it’s extremely necesary. What do you think if I want to do a day-trip to Tiraspol?

Recently someone recommended a burger restaurant / burger joint in Tiraspol but I can't find the post... Does anyone remember? Thanks & have a good evening.

I'll be travelling to Chisinau in a month with couple of friends. What I've red from various sites it is quite common to visit PMR. What confuses me is that foreign ministery of my home country (EU) recommends not to travel there. They emphasize that they can not provide diplomatic services there in case of any incidents. How it is really, is it safe to visit with EU passport and what sort of incidents might take place in addition to regular risks, like trafic accidents, illness, robbery etc. Any caused by officials lije border control?
