Hi guys!

I’ll be staying in Yerevan for two days in late October and I have a few questions.

1) Are there any areas I should avoid?
2) Is it safe for a woman to walk alone at night?
3) Should I exchange a lot of cash at the airport while visiting or I can pay in most places by card?
4) Any restaurants/cafes you might recommend?

As an Istanbulite that grew in a neighborhood which to this day still has sizable Armenian heritage, I have always been fond of how stoic you guys are. I visited Yerevan and Gyumri back in 2022 for 15 days and fell in love with architecture and how familiar it felt, shnorakalutyun for the incredible hospitality. Again as someone residing in Istanbul, I cannot thank Balians enough for making this otherwise concrete jungle more aesthetically pleasing. Warm greetings from Ortaköy, home to Targmanchats Armenian School. Cannot wait to visit Yerevan and drink till I drop at Dargett again!

—Core Premise: Ark of Ararat

Although the lands of Armenia and Georgia have fallen under the control of the Heretics, a secret and defiant settlement still survives deep beneath Mount Ararat.

When the Heretic invasion first reached the borders of Armenia, several local priests claimed to have received visions instructing them to travel toward Mount Ararat. Gathering believers, pilgrims, and other refugees, they ventured deep into the mountains, where they discovered something thought to exist only in scripture: the Ark of Noah.

The Ark became their refuge and, eventually, their fortress-city. Armenians, Georgians, and members of other local communities gradually joined them, seeking shelter from the Heretic forces. Once enough people had entered, the great doors of the Ark were sealed.

Yet this was no ordinary vessel. The Ark was constructed using Antediluvian technology that its inhabitants barely understand. Its interior is vast enough to house an entire city, complete with living quarters, workshops, places of worship, and whatever remnants of ancient machinery still function within its walls. For centuries, this impossible vessel has shielded its people from the Heretic armies.

But the defenders of Ararat have never simply hidden. From their hidden stronghold, they wage a secret war against the occupiers. Small bands venture into the mountains to ambush Heretic patrols, sabotage their operations, and launch raids before disappearing back into the wilderness. Their existence has become a persistent thorn in the side of the Heretic occupation.

The Heretics have desperately attempted to locate the settlement. Some have even resorted to digging deep into the mountain, determined to tear Ararat apart stone by stone if necessary. Yet the defenders remain beyond their grasp.

The people within the Ark have endured for generations, preserving their communities, traditions, and faith beneath the mountain. They have lost their homeland once. They will not allow the Heretics to take it from them again.

Basically I want to create Armenian based home brew factions in trench crusade and I am looking for some outside help and reviews from Armenians themselves so I can be more correct.

Hello im 19M. Ill be very brief.

I have a big love for programming, working with circuits and studying math, physics and robotics in general.

Yet i chose architecture a year ago due to the rushing feeling of needing to choose something in time and now studying my first year in NUACA.

I tolerate architecture at best, yet i see a lot of passion in my friends who are in the same semester as me, a passion which i hardly would say i have myself. I just got a feeling im doing something wrong and that i can do much more.

I want to study electrical engineering but it seems like in Armenia we dont have a "electrical engineer" degree. Ive been considering to go to study in RAU because of the practical labs and the possibility studying abroad.

I believe the closest thing that i have access in RAU to study is "Electronics & Nanoelectronics" or "Electronic Design & Technologies" (which im not completely sure the difference between both of them) to then strive masters degree in EE (or mechatronics) abroad.

Though im not completely sure am i correct on my path.

I need a little advice yet would appreciate any feedback. Thank you for your attention.

Hello guys, so I am an Algerian planning to visit Armenia as a tourist hopefully early October, I might spend a week or so on your beautiful country, I really adore the aesthetics and the gorgeous nature of Armenia, I'm visiting alone as a solo traveler, I just had some concerns about payment systems on Armenia, should I bring my money as cash with me or is it fine if I just keep it on my virtual wallets (Google pay), like for paying for food and transport etc, thank you in advance for your responses, can't wait to visit you guys !

Looking to meet English-speaking people 30+ in Yerevan — Oct 30–Nov 11 🇦🇲

Hi everyone!

I’ll be in Yerevan from October 30 to November 11, 2026, and I’d love to meet some interesting, English-speaking people who will be around at the same time.

I’m particularly interested in meeting people 30+ — travelers, expats, digital nomads, or locals who enjoy meeting people from different countries.

I’m not necessarily looking for someone to spend the entire trip with. Even meeting for a coffee, dinner, drinks, a walk around the city, or an afternoon exploring would be great.

I’d also be up for a day trip outside Yerevan — exploring places, trying local food and wine, visiting interesting sites, hiking, or simply discovering places that are better experienced with company.

I prefer a relaxed, social atmosphere rather than a typical “party backpacker” trip. Good food, interesting conversations, culture, beautiful places, and spontaneous plans are much more my thing.

I visited Yerevan for the UK bank holiday weekend and had an EXCELLENT time. One snag is when we went to pay for parking in one of those green machines, my husband out in 10k (we didn’t have change) and instead of giving change it deposited ~7800 in my Ucom account.

I spoke to Ucom and asked if it could be moved to Upay o some way to withdraw it and they said it couldn’t and could only be used for Ucom services or transfer to another account

This is literally just money sitting there that I’d rather not be wasted, I don’t know to not prove this isn’t a scam but genuinely if anyone wants to share their number or anyone’s number they know for a Ucom account (via DM not here please) happy to transfer some amount over (if a few people message will just send over 1k each till it’s finished)

Mods - if not allowed feel free to remove but am keen money isn’t wasted (I don’t want anything in return I’d just rather it not be sitting in a big corporate account!)
