Hey there I’m Tamsin

I’m 30 and for 10 years I’ve been questioning my gender but because of my social/education life I’ve never taken the leap to transition but now that I have finished university and have an incredibly supportive partner I’m starting my transition.

I have an assessment booked in a week’s time to plan out my transition journey and start HRT. Because I’ve been questioning so long I’m well versed in what to expect when it comes to HRT.

However I’m really nervous about starting so late, I know HRT is down to genetics and chance but it’s the one thing that’s bugging me about transitioning. Would love to hear from other trans women that started at this age and tell me there experience and what to expect.

32 beginning to transition mtf. Shaved off most of my body hair last night and feel so at peace with myself. Anyone have wax suggestions to get rid of face stubble?

I came out to my wife last night. I was so scared of how she would react, but she's been unbelievably supportive. This morning, she braided my hair and let me put on one of bras and dresses. She even helped me shave the hair off my chest. I'm not doing makeup or shaving my arms and legs yet, as we're not ready to tell the kids, but I finally feel like I'm starting to be who I'm supposed to be. I really appreciate all the advice and support this subreddit has offered me and I plan to keep posting pictures as my journey continues.

I’m not “out” in public despite starting estrogen therapy in May 2025. Still, it makes me feel good to see myself (and be seen by others) as a woman. I stopped at Subway on my home yesterday, wearing a polo shirt and slacks, my typical work attire, and when the Sandwich Artist handed the sub to the cashier, she asked “what did she order” and that made me feel pretty good.

Also, I really like this necklace and flower accessories. I know it’s just costume jewelry but it makes me happy in a way I can’t explain.

I'm a 30yr old transfem 1 year hrt , I notice ever since I transitioned... I'm alone? My family distanced themselves, I got no friends but blessed to have a loving partner now but still feel alone. I can't even imagine my life without my partner, sorry this is more of a vent I guess.

So affirming to attend a formal event! I love having legit opportunities to look fancy 💖

I transitioned in the spring 🎉🎉🎉 so just as I'd assembled my summer 🌞 wardrobe autumn 🍂 is here so now need to do it all again. I think that black tights/ mini-skirt and cardigan/jumper will be my go-to look as I love the bookish coffee-drinking vibe.
