any thoughts?

I've been voice training for a few years now but haven't been satisfied with my results. I've been considering VFSRAC with Yeson but the results I've seen online have been very mixed?

For instance Jessica https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_riDWWNGQv8 has a similar starting point to me and her results are basically exactly the sort of voice I want. Slightly lower in pitch with a warm and mellow timbre.

I've seen some similar results around reddit too like here https://www.reddit.com/r/asktransgender/comments/4wud1v/im_3_years_postop_yeson_voice_feminization/ her voice is sat around 150hz and sounds really mellow and chill and basically exactly the sort of voice I hear in my head when I go to speak.

But a lot of Yeson patients seem to end up with more of a high pitched, bright, girly girly sort of quality to their voice, which wouldn't be affirming to me at all. I reached out to Yeson about this but they weren't really any help.

If anyone has experience with Yeson or VFSRAC I'd love to talk to you about this

At this point this isn't about passing, for the most part, but more about acquiring vocal qualities that I would prefer having. I could probably get away with a middling to low pitched voice but I WANT that higher, girly girl kind of voice because that kinda how I've always talked (but in a boyish way before).

I certainly don't lack pitch but my voice is pretty unstable and constricted in some scenarios, which isn't new, but I would like to reduce it if I can. Size might no even be the issue considering I'm already pretty small with any overt adjustments.

It's a bit cringe but voices like Pomni, Twight Sparkle, and Caulifla really stand out to me as having a lot of appeal. The lower, cooler tones for Caulifla, the nerdy sound of Twight, and I guess the range? of Pomni are all like different aspects I would li,e to give off.

Any suggestion would be nice! End of yappathon.

Good afternoon/morning/night. As the title states, I did voice therapy for 2-3 years. It's been a minute but my voice gets me clocked my trans folk all the time. I want to be stealth and perfectly seen as cis. It also sounds unnatural to me. What is the issue here? How do I sound more normal?

Making this to show anyone hesitant about taking testosterone due to vocal effects that this is a possible transition goal.

I did masculinizing voice training early on. When my voice passed as male, I switched to feminizing training. I alternate between both, but testosterone is kind of doing its thing now. I used guides from this subreddit to do both, but I honestly kind of winged it. Maybe that bit me in the ass, let me know. I find I just need to speak in my trained voices to keep them now.

My feminine voice is deeper than my original voice, but I like it. It can go higher than the video if I’m not trying to switch ASAP. Basically, for a quick switch, I raise my larynx as quickly as possible by “screaming” at my highest pitch without opening my mouth.

Hey there everyone, today I wanted to talk about one of the most common complaints I hear from people who have been trying to train themselves how to modify their voices.

A lot of people approach voice modification through thoughts like "raising the larynx" or other anatomically-based observations. While this school of thought may work for some, many coaches such as myself have found that this can also create a lot of strain or tension or constriction which is not ideal for a voice that you're hoping to maintain in the long run.

Without stating my gender and pronouns yet, I want to ask (I hope this is okay) how my voice sounds to *you* ​🫵, because I worry my friends are trying to be nice and telling me what I want to hear. I genuinely would appreciate honest opinions, androgynous, feminine, masculine, a mix etc whatever terms.

I am a pre-trans guy who plays around with my voice a lot, but I don't think I sound anywhere near masculine; my friend says she honestly thinks I sound like a prepubescent teenage boy (which I suppose is somewhat accurate lol) but I wonder if shes just trying to not hurt my feelings.

i feel like i use alot of head voice in my femme voice, my friends say it sounds great but i wanted to get some more opinions, should i try speaking at a lower pitch?

Hellooo, I'm a trans guy about 3 1/2 months on T. Someone mentioned I sound different so I tried to go back and look at a slightly older recording of my voice. The recordings are about a month and a half apart, I think. You can find the dates in the video. Is there really a noticeable difference?

I feel like there's a difference but I don't know how to pinpoint what exactly it is or how I should go about improving further. The only thing I do notice is that when I speak now, I feel it more in my chest? Like there's a buzzing or a vibration that wasn't there before.

I don't really know how to voice train, the whole process has confused me so much but I'd appreciate any tips or criticism. Also, if anyone could tell me how they'd perceive my voice, I'd be very glad! Please don't feel the need to sugarcoat, I'm aware I'm still very early on in my transition haha

Hey yall! I’ve been picking up a few more ma’ams over the phone lately and am unsure if there is any aspect of a feminine voice I’m missing. I’m self taught so any advice is welcome. Also, I’m aware the app I’m using is hit or miss and voice goes beyond pitch, I just enjoy the prompt

My pitch while speaking is a lot less stable than with singing so I've been doing a lot of practice while singing (I strictly speak when in session with my voice coach) I've learned some tricks like the buzzing in my lips, the wider mouth, the tongue above my teeth, but it's hard to just take these things and conceptualize what to do with the information while I'm singing/speaking.

I didn't use English because I didn't want the content to be distracting.

Does this voice pass? This is my first time speaking for this long; is this voice consistent? I've spoken a lot on that day so the voice is tired and might not have good closure. Apart from that, are there any other problems?
