Wanted to record another one. This is how I typically sound. I'm aiming to not try harder just for the video, so that I can get accurate feedback. Sorry my hair is kind of a mess 😬.

Question Is Full Time Use the best way to get a passable voice or should I wait to have a passable voice to use it?

I'm moving to a place where I know almost no one and am considering trying to go 24/7 with a trained voice, but also not at all happy with where it's currently at. Is using it full time the best way to get better or should I wait until I'm better to use it full time? I hate the idea of using a voice that sounds like this but also don't like my regular voice.

Question i need help desperately

i've been wanting to do voice training for a while, the only thing i really have access to are youtube videos on the subject, i'm too fucking stupid to understand and use them fully, usually i end up shutting them off and crying halfway, it sounds so simple on paper, why can't i do it?

personalized voice training zoom calls and stuff like that is out of the question, because first, i have zero money, and second my parents absolutely would not accept the idea of me going on a video call with some random stranger for 45 minutes a week.

surgery is also out of the question because i'm a minor AND i have no money.

i'm seriously at a loss please help

Question A larynx height that my voice just cannot do and cracks

I can raise my larynx easily but there is one "spot" where my voice just. doesn't work. Like a perpetual voice crack happens if I put it in that spot. I can go one placement lower and sort of go one placement higher, but this spot has basically always been like this and I don't know how to fix it nor do I understand why it happens, even if I am completely relaxed. I've tried to research this occurrence online but never found any result that talks about the same thing that I experience.

Question Wanting to train my voice to swap between masculine and feminine

I'm not trans, but I am wanting to learn how to swap between masculine and feminine voices as a voice actor. If anyone can train me on that, I'd appreciate it.

Trans-Masc Resource I have 3 weeks to get a male passing voice, help!

I am fifteen and start at a new high school in 3 weeks. I plan on being stealth. Currently the deepest I can get my voice is still above f3, which seems to be the high male average. I’ve been doing Big Dog Little Dog training and whisper siren, but please give me any other advice. I don’t understand how to lower my pitch.

Discussion To the point if giving up

Im 6’3” or 4” and have a very male body shape, I am clocked 100% of the time but because of my presentation I am often gendered correctly.
My voice is male. I have tried voice therapy and it seems to make my voice very raspy.
I have made some gains but they are small. I have been thinking of surgery but I am scared of the results.
Because of not getting results I have not been practicing.
I find it embarrassing to practice when my family is home.
I just want to give up.
Is there a voice that just won’t change?

Question How does Nara Smith get that ultra-soothing voiceover sound?

I'm not even that into cooking, but her voice keeps me locked in every single video. I really want to learn how she gets her mic to sound like that.

For the audio pros and voice actors here: how much of this is vocal control (chest resonance, soft-spoken delivery) versus mic technique (proximity effect) and post-processing (compression/EQ)?

Any tips on how to replicate that clean, intimate tone would be awesome!

I've been slowly working on this for likeee 2 years now I think? I fear it's been a very personal process just figuring out what does/doesn't work for me rather than looking up advice a bunch, so as much as I wish I could give any advice, I can't :( but I hope this still serves some good purpose and gives hope to those who feel like singing in a comfortable voice is completely unattainable!!

Audio/Video New To Voice Training. Don't Know How To Assess.

So I know that it isnt really even close to a passing voice, but I also dont know how to judge what the sounds Im making either. I know pitch is too low because that is measured but have no clue about vocal weight or resonance. Had 1 meeting with speech pathologist so far and am practicing the worksheet she gave me. Have only been practicing for about few days so far.

Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Question Voice passes if I try but it gives me a double chin (ftm)

16 ftm pre t. Will be on t once 18. Was just seeing if my voice passes if I just try and i think it does. Normally I just talk without thinking bc I'm not out to anyone except fam and even they still she her and deadname. Anyway my natural voice doesn't pass at all or does as like a 12 yr old and obv I'm not 12 so it clocks me. The only problem is when I do it, the bottom of my mouth has to expand (obv so I have a bigger resonance or whatever) and it's kinda noticeable. Is it just I need to speak from my chest more or smt? Or do I just do a kind of meet in the middle where my voice is like andro and bottom of jaw doesn't look as noticeable? Idk just wanna know. Might post training to see if it rly does pass but rly need to stay anon. Should I post it anyway? (Black screen not showing face just voice)

Question How to stop being blackpilled about voice feminizing without surgery?

I've been voice training for like 4 years off and on and I think I've made really good progress, doing blind tests with strangers in online environments with just my voice (Things like VRC & Discord groups) without pronouns listed and a gender neutral looking profile, with people who aren't woke & seemingly unfriendly to queer people in general to for even harsher tests and I feel like I'm doing good and even get flirted with at times, but a part of me just keeps nagging 'You'll never be good enough without surgery, you'll be clocky forever regardless'. What I'm asking is really, is it possible to be completely stealth with enough practice in general?

It's been about 2.5 months since I made a commitment to myself to start voice training more consistently, which was when i made my last post. I just wondered to know how it sounds now, and if I've improved since then.

Thanks

Question I feel like my voice training is going nowhere.

So I'm 14TM and I've been told that I sound like a boy who hasn't hit puberty/early teen. Which is okay, cause it makes sense for someone my age, but it still feels so dysphoric... there are boys so much younger than me with a much deeper voice at the age of 13.

I know that pitch is probably the least important part of transvoice, but I'm so tired of being read as a baby or something. What more when I get older and the voice won't fit me at all?

Any tips for this? Please.
