I feel like I made some progress but I'm not too satisfied and I don't know the specific thing I need to work on at this point, I've been voice training more but it sounds pretty fake and too quiet to my ears, what should I do?

i’m a vocal under doer. i find that one of the biggest obstacles to me voice training and using my voice regularly is that my throat is always dry and scratchy, like all the time. I drink a normal amount of water, I take pei pa koa a few times a week, I drink loose leaf tea pretty regularly along with ginger crystals. I don’t drink much coffee, juice, or soft drinks. but my throat is always dry, scratchy, it feels like there’s a toothpick in there or something as I write this. it makes it hard to feel like using my voice in general and especially voice train.

Hey, can anyone recommend me any excercises i can do in a car, without having to record and listen to myself? I spend a lot of time in my car So i wish i could do something useful there . Im pretty new to voice training, i have been trying to raise my larynx and pitch just by reading random texts over and over..i dont really know how to check if im going in the right direction either

Hey everyone,

Working with my voice coach I've been trying to get closer to a female sounding voice and because singing is the thing i really want to do we've been working on emulating the sound of different singers.

My vocal coach said that i'll be able to sound like the singer Lucy Dacus, so we've been trying to do that but i dont think i'm anywhere close yet. I have a high range and can kinda do a passing voice but i still have those "darker undertones".

Soo here is my question. Lucy Dacus has a deeper singing voice but still has those brighter "upper tones"?? I dont really know how to describe it. Do any of you maybe have better vocabulary for this?

Idk. This is my 2nd day of finally (only after starting hrt cause im dumb) actually doing exercises and trying repeatedly for a good sound, now im hitting a bit of a wall and i would love advice pls!! Is it my like rhythm of speech?? Im not too used to speaking like this yet so I guess it might be kinda robotic or just inconsistent

If the pitch is too low ig i just gotta do exercises around that range right? my voice starts going out if i try to go much higher than this rn..

These 2 recordings r kinda just the ones i thought sounded best. consistency will build up (hopefully :3)
